Pull back on left thumbstick

>pull back on left thumbstick
>character takes half a second to respond
>either stops for another half second to turn around, or walks in a wide half circle to face the other direction
>release thumbstick
>character takes half a second to respond to command
>decelerates to a stop after a couple extra paces
I hate this "realistic" movement that plagues modern games. It's unresponsive and imprecise. Obey my commands, I don't care if it creates the illusion of sliding backwards for a tenth of a second.

God I hate walking in that game.

it feels less like they're an extension of you, and more like you're queing shit up for some dude on screen to do

It shouldn't if it feels like shit. Sekiro shows you can have decently responsive movement and also animate it semi-realistically. If I yank back on the thumbstick, he pushes himself back before turning around into a sprint.

>input delay is fun when I'm fighting things, because I'm a dumb fuck in real life that takes half a second to do something after I've though about doin it.

That's great that you can still enjoy games despite having only a quarter of a normal humans brain.

You can't compensate for momentum but somehow I'm the dumbass

Stupid weebs always putting “muh gameplay” before quality animation.

kek

So the game was actually designed that way? I thought it was just unresponsive because my framerate was shit.

>Witcher 3
>thumbstick
Yike.

Stupid weebs caring about "game"play in "game"s amirite

That's not momentum.

Does it take half a second to move your legs? I sure hope not.

this screenshot alone is enough to make me fire up TWC3
god tier fucking game. hope ghosts of tsunami is gonna be good

Input delay is not the same as slow animations you absolute retard.

>Does it take half a second to move your legs?
yes it does. The older you get the sloppier your motor skills are. you can't instantly jump, lift up your leg, run, etc like you were a little kid.

If there's one thing From games have right is base movement. It's responsible and feels natural since DeS

People don't move like fucking Mario dude

most of the reason I could not get into this game. also tedious material gathering and alchemy being absolutely necessary

that's not a console issue, retard. that's definitely related to the TV's input delay
so many poorfags on this board bitching about muh 100ms input delay on their PS4 games, they were like fucking cockroaches during RDR2's release when in reality the problem is in their fucking panels and shitty TV's that aren't even meant to play video games.
I have a budget LG 4K 49"screen. On all modes it plays games with awful input delay. But when I set it to game mode it goes all the way down to only 8ms and even "clunky"games like RDR2 play super smooth. Poorfags gonna poorfag.

>start playing TW3
>minimap is dotted with over a dozen plant icons
>if I try and run over them and press A, Geralt stops to pick them up
Pretty much wanted to quit right there. I hate video game chores.

Wasn't there specifically a setting patched in to make movement more responsive? Regardless, luckily I'm not a total retard and was able to adjust within minutes.

Yes, console fags don't use option menus except to turn on subtitles due to their poor verbal comprehension.
