Did you pick Male or Female Characters?

Are you a female (male) who plays as a male in games?

Attached: 2934948-8368300573-Scree.jpg (2040x1148, 404K)

I picked the girl because asian men are fucking ugly.

I play which ever one. I don't always pick male characters in games.

You will never be a woman

How did they manage to make a decent looking asian man but an ugly as fuck asian woman.

Depends on the portraits and classes in the game or what can be added.

this was a fun game

my guess from the nose would be they wanted them to look similar

I play as a female a lot of online games and I also pretend to be a girl, I use my 17yo sister, she sometimes pick the mic while I’m playing.
But I also share my accounts with her so sometimes she’s using my characters.

depends on the game
usually it's female but for in the example you're using I picked the male morgan

>male
>female
I need game without specific genders like TD2.

I'm male. I always go like this:

>First time playing the game: pick male.
>First time playing the game and it has a character creator: pick male, create the character to resemble me as closest as possible, beer gut, huge nose and all.
>First time playing the game and it asks you to name your character: I use my real life name.

>Second playthrough: pick female
>Second playthrough and the game has a character creator: pick female, either create a waifu according to my real life tastes or recreate an anime character of my liking.
>Second playthrough and the game asks you to name your character: I use either a wacky or exotic name.

>Create your party game (example: the Etrian Odyssey games) I pick three males, two females. The male who's the party leader is named after me, the rest of the party after people I know in real life, be family members or coworkers.

Male

I usually pick female characters unless its some sort of life sim game like animal crossing or harvest moon.

>Did you pick Male or Female Characters?
Mostly male, unless I'm bored of it or female character is good. Don't care that much.

i used to pick female because im gay but now i pick male because im excessively gay

I play female characters as a male, and I ain't gotta explain shit. Think whatever you wanna think of me for it.

I almost always play female characters. Can't remember the last time I chose a male when given a choice.

Playing as a female character is pointless in first person games. Only reason to do that is to put your character in lewd clothes and lick the screen.

>play female character
>realize I can never be that cute
>get sad
Or
>play male character
>realize while I can never be him, I can be more like him if I lift, groom myself better, etc
>get motivated

It's a no-brainer.

Male because it's easier to experience the game vicariously through male characters.

Depends on the game and design

I always pick male characters, just because it usually fits the narrative better. Only time I make a female character is for PVP to rub salt in the wound.

If there's zero customization when picking a character, I will always go male. If I have the chance of creating a character with decent customization, female. They usually have way more options to create something unique. I have a terrible tendency to create a self insert whenever I go male.

Where do female Roegadyn fit on that scale?

If there's no cool or lewd clothes for the female, I'll just pick male.

i always go female because i'll see the character a lot and i'd rather see something cute

It's case by case, in this scenario though I picked who's the better Voice actor

>Can I make them look like me: Male, otherwise female

This or whichever has a better model.

I did mass effect 1 and 2 as female shepard because the male shep voice just struck me as douchey, and with Ripley hair femshep was actually awesome. it's a grab bag in most other games and I just do what fits. I have a few of both genders and most races in all MMOs I play

What the fuck was even the point of choice in this game if you play a silent mute?
The story was hot fucking garbage with even worse ending, i want to know in what state it was before they brought in Avellone close to the release to make it work, going by the intro not fitting the design of the game at all i assume they had no story at fucking all.

Prey, Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider proves the writers at Arkane are fucking ether brain dead or just dont give a shit about their job.

You think men play as women because they want to be women ?

Are you gay ?

I usually pick a guy and go back as a girl in the second playthrough if there are any real differences worth experiencing. But if it's a game like Prey it doesn't really matter what gender you pick.

This just makes them worse for me. Girls will be hitting on the MC or saying how great he is and I'll just be reminded about how much of a failure I am in real life.

I play predominately make characters. I'm a grill. It makes me feel like the manly man inside of me.

I've tried playing as girls in pokemon, when I found their character designs more impressive. Have to admit I felt like a faggot for doing so.

>tfw hairloss
>tfw you will never look as good as a man with a decent hairline no matter how well groomed you are

Finasteride please save me

I never view vidya characters as extensions of myself but as their own people. I play both genders pretty much at random, depending on whether I think a male or female fits the story/setting better.

Depends on several elements.

>Story reasons
>Romance options
>Aesthetic
>Customization options
>How horny I am at the moment

does she know you're a whore?
she does

>self inserting

Autism

I kind of bounce back and forth depending on the character design, voice performance, and interactions it can unlock.

Male because I figured it's a first person game why would I pick a girl if I can't even see her ass

Attached: 1552425256746.jpg (320x322, 35K)

Because maybe you can look down and see her tits

I always make a male first, play the game normally, make a female second, quit midway because I can't get immersed.

male, female whatever thing that suits my own autistic storyline

Attached: 20190516202749_1.jpg (1920x1080, 598K)

I like looking at cute girls, whenever possible.

Attached: 1558020644713.gif (512x343, 509K)

>the rest of the party after people I know in real life, be family members or coworkers.
surely that inevitably gets weird

Oh shit, good point

Attached: 1530871456440.jpg (1280x720, 220K)

I make a male character, go in the coffin, then come out female.

>is it in third person
>can I make a cute girl
If the answer is no to either, default to guy.

No one besides my family knows that I play videogames so no risk of weird looks.

You must be cute in real life. I'm not, so I like to play cute girls.

I play as whichever, mostly girls just for the fuck of it really

Can't you at least aspire to be like Kratos or Agent 47 instead of trying to reverse it with medication that's 2 steps away from tranny pills?

It's easy for you to say that.

no, I mean when you get halfway through the game and a romance starts developing between the character you named after your mom and the one you named after your brother, for example

Who're you talking to whiteboy?

Attached: 79c78b23a89c7627d890508b0b772417.jpg (640x637, 52K)

Prey was a great game apart from the complete lack of enemy and weapon variety. What the fuck was that shit?

He's a hapa

If the character is silent=female
If the character talks a lot=male

Because hearing a girl's voice nonstop is annoying.

I never saw much problem with weapons and enemies honestly
You aren't really fighting dozens of enemies in the first place
And weapons all feel unique

I've stopped using my IRL name for characters, mostly because I play as a girl 90% of the time but also because it takes me out of the narrative like nothing else. The closest I go is in medeival fantasy settings like Dragon Quest and Fire Emblem where I use my middle name since it sounds sort of old fashioned anyway. Otherwise if I have to play as a guy in an SMT game or something like that I'll use something Japanese sounding instead of my name.

Most of the time you're killing one of those black goo guys with the shotgun. Only three of the guns did conventional damage.

Wow, even with all the extra testosterone those muscles are giving him, he still has a feminine face (with almost no hint of facial hair). Bugmen genes are frightening indeed

i just flip a coin

Attached: 1552705921654.png (300x300, 131K)

I never really think too much into it, I just choose the gender of my characters on a whim.

>caring about what someone else does in a singleplayer game
your insecurity is showing

Depends on if the developers intend for you to self insert of not.
If self inserting is a thing, then I'll pick male.
If not I'll go female.

Do you think people picked Orcs in World of Warcraft because they want to be Orcs irl?

Because the standards of beauty for men and women are different.

seething white bitch

girl unless she's really ugly
prey is one of the few games where I picked male

male, because the armor design is usually superior, i don't really like women in skimpy clothes and armor in general.

man, that's some serious cope.
I'm sure your tangled mess of body and facial hair, coupled with your manly musk must make all the roasties flippin run for you, huh dude?
You're like those fat women on facebook that bitch about that cute japanese volleyball athlete.
Pathetic lol

yes

this is me except I don't make myself or waifu I just make shitty OCs

I very rarely self-insert myself into games, so I pick whatever looks the coolest or cutest because it makes for a fun protagonist in my mind.

I don't understand how people can self-insert in games, I find myself to be really boring.

I thought the same thing desu, he looks girly as fuck, like girls on facebook use airbrush apps to look at girly as him. a waste of a potential trap is what he is

if the game has nude mods then female

Attached: ada8.jpg (657x1080, 181K)

based

WHAT GAME

saint's row 3

Fuck. So disappointing.

but the woman in OPs pic is 10x uglier than the man

almost always female. don't care for self-inserting. love sexy female characters.

In that game? I picked male Morgan. It just seemed more appropriate and female Morgan looks like a literal goblin. Generally depends on the game for me.

Dude looks like he weighs a whole 140lbs max.

What race are you? I'm honestly curious and not passing judgement.

>implying he didn't think of that

Clearly an incestfag

If the game has customization, I go for a theme. And I semi-roleplay that theme where able.

Female.
It helps me to care about what happens because I kind of see men as expendable. Even influences my playstyle somewhat, because I don't want my character getting hurt I tend to play smarter with female avatars.
Plus, I really liked Female Morgan's voice. She just sounds very reasonable for some reason.

Then you must've hated prey 2016

The only attractive woman in an Arkane game ever was Emily in D2.
At this point I just take their intentionally ugly character designs for granted. Games are good and always in first person, who gives a shit.

Depends on what feels right for the game.
For Prey I chose Male.

But I've played female in a few games.
Dishonored 2, chose Emily because it seemed like that was who they wanted you to pick and also I wanted to see her powers since I already was familiar with Corvo.

Played Purna in Dead Island.

Played Female Sole Survivor for Fallout 4 dince it made more sense for a Mother to be the protagonist.

Played Rochelle in Left 4 Dead 2 but I played Francis in Left 4 Dead 1.

I just go with what I think fits best or has the best design.

Completely depends on the voice actor for me. If there are game mechanics related to gender, I usually pick male first. Besides that, I don't care.
