It a fairly deep game thats on a semi permadeath state. Die and die again and eventually youl become a god who can survive almost everything but above all, thrive. Lots of characters, lots of ways to do stuff, early game generaly sucks but mid late is really fun once you get into the game proper.
Utterly based, but I got stuff to do and sleep to catch up with. Best of luck for those who play, and thanks server dude.

What do you work towards in this game? I've gotten several farms, decent equipment, and basically have nothing to worry about survival wise. I've gotten this far at least 3 times and lose interest cus there seems to be nothing to do that has any impact.

The games are largely very similar, but there are a few game mechanics that are different, as well as a few items and creatures that are different. If you have people to play with, do DST. Otherwise, just play the vanilla game.

The Shipwrecked and Hamlet expansions are also single-player only, and the former especially differs quite a bit from DS/DST.

It's just multiplayer. Unless I'm mistaken, they have all the same stuff.

I don't understand why they're still seperate. DST is the most complete one with the most features that don't get ported into regular DS, but DS gets expansions that you can't play in multiplayer? What's the fucking point of this?

Yes but he can wear Night gear without penalty, splunk in caves indefinately, has his shadow puppets and can essentially ignore sanity. If he didnt have a major drawback it would be broken.
