I think it's just the natural flow of time. Everyone's moved into the new hotness that was OtH or drawing inkling/veemo interactions. Not to say Squid Sisters don't get love anymore but they don't have the spotlight all to themselves no more so it's going to be more diluted. Did this lately with a party playing For Honor. Dude was getting upset because everyone was trashing him while he was trying to learn a character, but all I had to do was assure him that this fight wouldn't go into his stats anyway, so we all might as well have fun. He calmed down pretty fast after that.

As for playing an MMO, I would actually recommend XIV if you're new to the genre. I know it's going to sound like me shilling "my" game but it really does hold your hand more than any other MMO I've ever played in terms of learning the ropes, which is why it's all the more perplexing when I come across complete shitters.
Also would recomnend staying away from XIV threads on Yea Forums, and especiallty the general. That general is the most cancerous piece of shit on this entire site.

I've been doing some reading about how to deal with social anxiety and stuff lately and just finished this one called The Solution to Social Anxiety by Aziz Gazipura yesterday. Fantastic read and it really helped me deal with some of my anxiety. I think if I actually practice the shit that's in this book, it might do a lot to help me out, so you guys might want to check it out.
As for Smash, I guess I should be happy I live in a city that has a thriving Smash community that's not too far from where I live. My issue is my lack of a car but that should change in a year or so.

I often ponder about whether or not I have social anxiety. It's not like I dread going out to work or shopping or anything like that.
