It's fucking insane that they made it completely Sonic-character-focused and yet there's still going to be people disappointed they can't play as their favorite characters.

That's what happens when you have loads and loads of characters in a franchise. Shit, people even complain about not having their favorites in SRB2 Kart, and that game has an enormous lineup.

Levels are designed with the Team Mechanic in mind and characters like Espio and Charmy are pretty much locked-out of being in the game with Vector needing to be Silver and Blaze's Power character.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, but yeah, the Sonic side characters definitely had more demand than the obscure SEGA ones.

Then find someone as a placeholder for Team Chaotix, that's why we even got Team Vector and that's why Zavok is on Eggman's team. There's plenty of characters to choose from to make up teams

Considering you can not only race without the team mechanic involved, and when you ARE in a race, you don't HAVE to be paired up with your teammates(unless its the Story mode), I don't think it real be that much of a problem.

I think it's just the new Sonic game to shitpost about for most people now that it's almost out. Previously it was Mania cause that was the new hot one. These Sega Kart games are the only way we'll see these characters again. Ristar, Nights, Jet Set Radio, all dead. Just Sonic feels like a massive downgrade. Those weird characters and guests were cool, too.

He's only like this when it comes to crash at least. I don't know why but ever since the n sane trilogy was announced he suddenly went mad over crash. This was after I'd known him for near 6yrs and he had never once mentioned the series or shown any signs that he liked crash.
I'd show him other platformers through the years and he'd say they were shit and go play GTA.
He even has a shelf full of random crash stuff and even begged to have some old crash plushy that had lying about in my house for god knows how long.
But yeah, whenever I see him post something crash related in our group, I just ignore it at this point cos any conversation becomes a chore.
