Skyrim Void exploration

Heyo Yea Forums. I've explored the void past Oblivion's game world a bunch, some of you may remember those threads. In the past I've tried similar things with Skyrim, but nothing major. Today I've been messing around with Skyrim SE, and my god the effects are way worse in this game than Oblivion. See pic related. Anyone know why that might be? I'm gonna look around a bit, see if I can figure anything out. Any anons will knowledge of float point computation errors or general Bethesda engine fuckery are especially welcome.

Apparently running / swimming fast enough in Skyrim makes you start to lift upwards. You can see it in webm related, and collision is on in that clip.

To explain a bit more about what I'm trying to do, it's a thing in Bethesda games (and many others) that if you go past the playable map and keep going, your character starts to get distorted in really weird ways. In the past, I've done this on Oblivion, and managed to reach the very end of the 3D space that the engine can process. Idk if that's possible on Skyrim, but for some reason the distortions to one's character are a lot worse in this game than in Oblivion.

bump for interest

Shit dude I remember seeing your threads before. Hell yeah there's interest.

I feel like the distortion looks funnier in Skyrim too ngl

Going for that EB Games look?

What the hell causes that

nerve gas

God damn Boneitis

Christ he's turning into a gnarled tree.

My only regret

almost certainly floating point precision errors

Here, I tried to find one with relatively less autism in it compared to others. Anons really got creative with interpreting some of it in the others.

This is definitely way worse than the Oblivion effects, I'm seeing that more and more as I go out further. I really don't know why that might be...

That's absolutely nightmarish. Have him run towards the camera if you can.

Update on what the body looks like without fists raised

Attached: SkyrimSE 2019-05-16 15-57-35-961.jpg (1920x1060, 317K)

as pointed out, it's probably because of floating point numbers. As you get to the extreme high/low values, you start to lose precision. It's not a smooth continuous line of numbers like real numbers, it starts jumping from number to number with huge gaps.

can't move fast without brakin'

Yes, I'm somewhat familiar with that part of it. It was the same in Oblivion. I'm just wondering why the effects on the player character seem worse in Skyrim SE, especially considering I think I'm not moving nearly as fast in this as I was in Oblivion.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get better angles, like that. Skyrim lacks a vanity mode unless you put your fists down and even then the camera moves to whatever direction you run in as soon as you start running. I'm trying the tfc command as well but for some reason it's like using it re-enables collision and my character starts falling.

Also, something suddenly switched in the distortions and now the character looks like this. 1st person view webm incoming, it's gruesome.

Yea, this is easily the weirdest looking 1st person shot I've seen doing this is any Bethesda game.

Perhaps Skyrim is designed at a different scale from Oblivion?

Wow its you, Fuck i feel old

Here's a webm of what it looks like when my character runs, but something kinda weird happened and then I crashed. I'll post a screenshot of that in a sec, but basically it was like my character disappeared, the camera jerked to suddenly flying right above the water that's at ground level in the Void, then the screen went black and I crashed.

That body is almost as spaghetti as Bethesda's code.

Blessed thread

You are so close to transcendence. Pass beyond. Embrace your shifting bones.

Here's the screenshot. I tried to save but that triggered the crash. Idk what exactly happened. Also, bad news guys, I gotta cut this experiment short. Something unrelated came up. I'll continue it at some point in the next day or two. In the mean time I have one or two more screenshots I'll post from mobile.

nickies threads are the best

Aww. I wish you luck, friend.

We must transcend beyond our fleshy prisons. These shifting bones of ours are a sign of something much greater, something that is better for mankind. Or should I say, skele-kind.

Mfw OP will eventually anti-chim himself after messing around with oblivion npc souls and void areas of tes games
