I played this game for something like 60 hours to finish the story and there was a lot of content left (endgame bosses, lots of side-quests and side-dungeons). Totally justified as a full-price game imo. Looking forward to the sequel.

No one who actually likes achievements cares about Steam achievements. You can cheat them in without repercussion and even give legit timestamps to them whereas on consoles you have to do incredibly ridiculous things like earn the achievement, change the date, cheat the next one in, change the date, etc for 50 something achievements, and then you have to hope either A. your account isn't banned or B. your timestamps aren't noticed by the tens of thousands of people on achievement/trophy hunter sites.

(good) sprites are really expensive, and mobile games usually have static sprites used in gatcha games, not the same thing at all. In octopath the environments are also hand drawn pixel art, and react to lighting in an interesting way (way more than just the shitty lens flare shown in trailers). Lightning and rain look great, as well as weapon effect flashes in dark areas.

Brave Exvius costs nothing and has equal quality sprites made by some of the exact same people who did the sprites for Octopath.
