This. They don't even have the death of Aeris which was a bigger moment than most if not all of that.

It was memorable, but not one of the best moments ever. Not even a top 5 Final Fantasy moment

Ignoring all the OOT stuff, I think the fight with Giygas at the end of Earthbound is by far the most iconic moment of the Mother series. Mother 3's end was definitely memorable too and sad as fuck, but the actual fight with Giygas was fucking nuts.

For me personally it does, that's why they have so many on there. Forest, Spirit & Water Temple are the best levels of all time, so they all deserve a spot

The way that pokemon games challenge the player in lieu of having human-like AI is by giving the opponent a level advantage to compensate for the fact that the player has a real brain which can (in theory) perform more complex strategies than any pokemon npc, can tailor his team to any challenge and try as many times as necessary, and if all else fails, spam items.
