The first 2 people who came out about it couldn't even get track names correct so their telling of the story might as well have been worthless but then someone who actually knows how to play the game came out and told the same overall story so there's way more believably there rather than it being a potential misunderstanding from people who don't know the game series particularly well.

The weird thing with CTTT tracks is that there are some bumps and ramps but it's just objectively a bad idea to use them since you only lose your steering ability and dont gain speed for going off jumps. Occassionally they put an item crate? in the air but that's it, you're a sitting duck to get shot down

For one, people won't have to worry about their 'mains' getting stolen and having a bad match because of it.
A good mechanical reason is that stats are tied to characters, not karts, so you never have to worry about all the accel characters getting insta-locked or all the top-speed characters, etc.

We have seen some content from CTTR, and with only 20 characters (so far) it's defiantly plausible. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has 41 characters in total, so CNKNF could use a little boost. I know they have characters skins while Mario Kart doesn't which makes up for the smaller roster a bit, but a few more characters would go a long way. I couldn't give less of a shit about CTTRs tracks, they were all boring, I can't remember a single one while I remember both CTR and CNKs tracks entirely. Not only that, but CTTRs tracks were designed around a completely different gameplay style, and wouldn't transition well without massive overhauls. I would much rather see them try and fail to create their own tracks rather than wasting time porting those shitty tracks.

Yeah but we've never had kart customisation and stuff like that. With characters like Tawna,
Koala Kong and N. Brio, the character models and rigs are already there. Characters like Nina and Pasadena are a bit less likely as they'd need entirely new characters models and rigs, but they went out of their way to give us all the CNK characters as well, so I'm 99% sure Tawna and stuff will be in the game.
