If you type any of those characters in on european google alongside smash ultimate or smash bros you get an ad for Smash's fighter pass. It works only for them and it's been tested for over 1,000 characters already. It's also nearly impossible to request an ad for something you don't own on google, and extremely expensive for an average person to do 4 times. So either google's fucked or someone at nintendo europe dropped the ball and requested the ads too early for E3.

Not him, and I'm not passionate about any of this, but it's the one of the most virally popular gaming franchises of the past decade next to Fortnite and has had releases on Wii U, 3DS, and Switch. Decent moveset potential, too.

I think they'll either all be revealed at E3 at once (would make sense since the leak implies the ads all went up at once for E3), or the leak is just a weird Google thing. So even if we see one of the 4 at E3, this still needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

They could have good reason though. Dark Souls' bosses are arguably the more memorable character compared to the player. It also adds some weight to the theory since everyone would expect Undead of Solaire.

For good reason. Solaire is somewhat of an unofficial mascot of the series and a fan favorite, and Chosen Undead is the player character. With how much Soccerguy likes to jam in little references to the source in every little move I can't think of much they can do with Artorias. Do you really think they'll put a Dark Soul character in Smash without having Praise The Sun as a taunt/winpose/entrance animation? Can't argue with that first bit though, you're 100% right.

Stage will probably use glowing signs you can touch to summon different NPC to help you with Solaire being one and using praise the sun when he comes in. We'll probably also see Mii costumes of boxart Chosen Undead, Ornstein and Smough. Assuming he gets in. That's how I imagine they'd do fanservice.
