Just finished REmake 2 so let's get a Resident Evil thread. How did you feel about REmake 2? Favorite RE? Least favorite?

Did you do it Leon A - Claire B or vice versa?

Bumping so the thread doesn't die before I can post.

I'm currently hiding in the clock tower after having just encountered Mr.X. Last thing I could hear was him walking around aimlessly (I hope). Any tips on how to deal with him besides running into the library and doing ladder shenanigans? Is this the rest of my life now?

So far the game is fantastic. Once I get another job I'll buy a copy rather than just renting it.

Nah after doing the clocktower puzzle and going back to the prison, mister X fucks off for a long long while

Hope this sums up my feelings

That's a relief. Right now I'm nearly out of ammo and Mr. X forced me to lose some health from some zombies, so my health reserve took a pretty big hit. I still need to find those gears for the clocktower, so I'm not even close to being out of the woods. The next thing I guess I'll do is go into the east storage room and take out those zombies before booking it.

Mr X is ez, just like walk around him dood

I'd personally swap 4 and REmake 2, but it's a solid list.

REmake 2 is probably my GOTY. One of the few games I've bothered to 100%. Haven't bothered with the Ghost Survivor stuff though.

someone please post chubby claire i havent cum for 9 days now, i think this might be it for me

>tfw people post webms of how they just dodge past mr X, lickers, zombies in tight hallways
>meanwhile I try and just get slapped/grabbed instantly and I've had to kill every single Licker in the game every time
I AM A BRAINLET

That's what I keep doing. He hasn't touched me, yet. The most he's been doing is forcing me into some pretty terrible situations. I'm just lucky that I already snuck around that third licker to get into the electronic locker room. I didn't see the other two coming though. Luckily, none of them managed to hit me. I just took a serious beating on the third floor is all.

Just save and dedicate some time to experimenting with them. The Lickers are actually really easy to avoid.

See how the player found an open spot and moved left a little at first so that he could have enough space to then move right and dodge around Mr X? Do things like that

Claire then Leon

Not sure about Leon but for Claire I just give him a couple of shots of acid grenades and it slows him down and gives you a glance to get away for a bit

>That moment when the first zombie started to lunge
That was a close call. There's no way they actually meant to get that close. Good advice though. It's too bad that doesn't work on Lickers. The best thing to do in that situation is just sneak by and run once you can't go any farther (From what I've experienced).

>Leon B
The M1911 is a piece of shit in this game. It should be so much stronger or should at least penetrate through enemies like the SAA

Attached: gangsta-style.jpg (1920x1080, 277K)

Yeah, I'm on my Leon playthrough right now. I'm almost out of ammo, so it would be a waste to use it on him. It would really help if I could get my hands on the magnum some time soon.

Also, is it possible to sneak away from him? It seems like he's always tailing me. The clock Tower is the first area I've gone to that he can't seem to find.

It would have been elder god-tier if the lab was better. RE2's lab wasn't great either but it looked really cool. RE2makes lab looks pretty generic in comparison. The Police Station is so fucking good to the point where I still think its about as good as REmake though.

Best thing is usually to stun them w/ a headshot or legshot in that situation. They are far more likely to lunge at you from a distance when you are running next to their sides / back. If you run in their face on hardcore, they will wait until you are like 2 feet away before lunging, so it's usually too risky to try and bait them like that considering one bite puts you in Danger

It was able to give me the same tense feeling I had when I played the original for the first time.
That's pretty amazing.
I'm pretty grateful at how much of a non-issue the camera change turned out to be.
I just wish they put some more effort into the B scenario.

After the clock tower you can open the East wing door on the 3rd floor. There's no need to go back towards the library if he's stomping around in there.

i just HAD to 100%. I knew before it even came out that i would have to get that plat.

Is Leon's playthrough much different then Claire's? I will do it by I'll probably take a break if it's the same game but only slightly different. Also I remember when this game came out, some reviewer apparently missed half the game in his play through and I'm worried I might have done the same. How do I know if I did everything in Claire's play through?

Yeah, he's already chased me through that way. I actually missed the clock tower room when running away at first. Going into the East storage room is actually how I ended up taking so much damage. The cop zombies instantly jumped on me and I had no other choice but to run without taking anything. Mr.X really forced my situation from not great, but manageable to nearly fucked. Luckily, I haven't taken much damage, so I still have another green/red/blue herb mix and three sprays. I'm sure that my rank is already in the toilet, so maybe it won't be so bad. I'll do better on my next playthrough after Clair.

Thanks for the advice.

There are some locations that are completely off limits per certain character. Leon will never enter the chiefs office, Claire will never reach the jails. Leon meets Ada, Claire meets Sherry.

Whoever you picked for New Game, pick the other for '2nd Run' mode. So do like Leon New Game and Claire 2nd Run.

Some dumbass reviewer completely missed there was a 2nd Run gamemode.

They have different weapons, different sidestories, different playable side-characters, different final bosses, and have different progressions through the police station. Leon gets the club key while Claire gets the heart key, for example. But yeah it's mostly the same thing, you still always fight G1-G3 for example

Attached: Leon-only shortcut.jpg (1920x1080, 180K)

Other than the people you meet and a couple of areas, progression is pretty much the same

>I'm sure that my rank is already in the toilet
Time and number of saves are the only things that matter (you need to save less than 3x for S+). If it's your first time playing there's really no point in worrying about it. Unless you already know every objective and passcode you can't practically expect to get a good clear time.

Thanks lads, I was worried that I didn't get the club key as Claire that I might have missed some important things but that makes sense

Reminder that RE2make achieved peak graphics.

I've been standing outside of new locations for several minutes at a time and I've already surpassed 30 saves. This is just how horror games are for me though. The first playthrough has me tripping balls, but subsequent playthroughs have me using game logic to my advantage. Sure, I could shrug it all off and use game logic from the start, but I don't feel as though I'd be truly appreciating the game.

>How do I know if I did everything in Claire's play through?
Claire has some collectibles and an achievement you can only find in the Orphanage. Likewise, Leon has stuff that has to be collected during his side character's section. Besides that, on each character's 2nd Run there are addition notes you'll find in the STARS office and at the sewer tram. So make sure you don't skip picking those up.

>pick the other for '2nd Run' mode.
Not that user, but is that the B scenario? If so, then no thanks. I heard that Mr.X is constantly all over you and I think I'd personally rather take my time with the new environments.

He is not all over you, he's triggered by a specific thing and you can explore half the police station before you trigger it. Then he fucks off once you go down the staircase under the statue, and you can just go back up the stairs and look around with him gone

Good to know.

That's what we're calling "chubby" now?

I see no jelly rolls. Chubby has always just meant kinda-fat but not obese
