Unlock the managerial tips early imo, those make you avoid the "shit hits the fan" events surely, getting a bad result or losing a worker is not a big deal, and you can even restart the day if the losses are too big, but some of the big managerial fuckups can even trascend resets.
It's up to you if you want to look a wiki up, I'd say do it if you don't care that much about investigating and figuring shit out or if you just wanna progress the game's story, but the game will become mere managing or workers and you will not be ever surprised or have to figure best course of action by yourself.

You will be restarting from Day 1 no matter how well you do. You should try to keep your high lvl guys alive to ensure longer run. The higher the level of the not-skip, the more experience you get, so you can still grind easy stats even if you rushed through first two weeks. When you restart your run, you get to keep all the gear you got and all the info on your not-skips. Prioritize keeping the workers with high lvl gear alive.When you manage to beat story bosses, you get very good rewards that stick to your next runs too. One of them makes excessive stat grinding obsolete.

If it is already out, doing it's low damage red pecks at passersby when someone starts panicking, it will home in on them to save them.
Had an early game squad wipe where everyone was panicking due to my misunderstanding of Wall Gazer, and it pecked free my lone white weapon character and saved the day.
