Did you guys see that Flash v Effort match Flash put on his Youtube channel? It was an action packed completely nuts game. Flash lost so many units, and was playing defensive most of the time. He only managed to take out 2 bases, which Effort re-established. Meanwhile Effort was attaking every location of Flash constantly. Effort won.

the first week's was Flash vs. Best, the games were super good. I started a thread for it but it died after like 20 replies.

KSL usually has some raffles from time to time but it costs $5 to attend and it's annoying to buy tickets (only sold online) because you need to install Korean bloatware programs to do so.
GSL has free seats (used to even have free food back in the day sometimes) and also has some giveaways too.
At least KSL last season was like a 5-10 minute trip for me, now it's an hour.

The maps actually are needed for balance.
Ramps and chokes prevent zerg rushes being unbalanced. Right now they're useful, but not a simple win button.
If one race dominates too much they change maps a bit. One thing that's common is to reduce the amount of buildable terrain in the middle of the map, as T usually sets up Turrets and supply depos as forward walls. You have to spend a LOT of zealots to break these positions. Gives T a huge advantage.

A lot of players in Korea think Terran is the strongest race, but it's something that's often disputed and there isn't really a clear answer
but the important thing is that race matchups as a whole aren't as important as matchups on specific maps, which vary drastically

How come Starcraft is dead as a series? I can't think of a RTS bigger than it and yet the only games on PC that are popular are fucking ASSFAGGOTS, a literal custom game mode spawned from it, or shit like Fortnite.

Artosis is legitimately good at BW, he's around 2300 MMR which puts him solidly in the top 1%, he's on the lower range of the Korean pros.
