It runs very well on PC
It was at least better than Demon's Souls.
pretty based
>462344005
>DS3 better than BB on bosses category
no
It satiated my scat fetish.
BB is my favorite in the series but even I can admit the bosses are mostly just ok
There isn't a single DS3 boss that's better than Gehrman.
Gehrman is a crippled cuck, Gael is the superior grandpa.
Gherman has an awesome boss room but the fight is pretty lackluster, not to say it's bad but it's not even the best fight in bb.
He's pretty much equal to SOC imo
DS2 does not have better lore than Sekiro.
No, Artorias 2.0 will never EVER be better than Chad Gehrman
Sekiros lore was pretty weak

bb bosses in a nutshell
Twin princes were comparable. Nothing truly beats walking up those stairs filled with guards.
So simple yet so climatic. When you enter the room and the dude is just barely standing up with a half-dead trap going all "rise if you would" was pure kino.
Truly encapsulated the dying world the entire game was building up to.
The Sekiro lore and characters were great. You're probably just an idiot who thinks obtuse lore told through item descriptions is the only interesting kind.
Sekiro had great characters (the main ones anyway) it just lacked the extended world building the rest of the series has. Everything is so straight forward it's honestly disappointing
>it just lacked the extended world building the rest of the series has. Everything is so straight forward it's honestly disappointing
>You're probably just an idiot who thinks obtuse lore told through item descriptions is the only interesting kind.
Based.
>You're probably just an idiot who likes everything spoonfed to you
epic stuff, optional information isn't bad, it adds depth to the world
You're a retard.
I'm not the one having a hard time reading
No, you're the fucking retard who thinks that obscure item descriptions are the only way to expand the lore of the world, and despite saying that optional information is good and Sekiro having that sort of optional information through things like the optional conversations you get by giving characters alcohol (which is also a much smoother way to get exposition in game than just reading an item description) you're going to continue to pretend that the lore isn't there. You don't actually have a point to make about proper world building and lore, you're just think that clumsy item descriptions thrown in are proper lore because you have autism.
Only correct answer
Scholar of the first Kino
I'll praise it for the fact that DaS2 shitpost threads are still going strong for 5 years.
Only contrarians with shit taste suggest such a thing.
DaS1 = BB > DeS >>> DaS3 > DaS2
The definitive tier list. DaS1, BB, and DeS are all fantastic and provide everything the series has to offer. The sequels are nothing more than contractual obligations, with maybe DaS2 having more soul than DaS3.
I like that chests break when you hit them. Makes mimics and other traps a more plausible threat compared to the highly telegraphed mimics in DS1 and 3.
Alcohol extends on characters that's pretty much it, it's not "smoother lore" I think sekiro had plenty of opportunities to expand on Ashina and the invasion via the descriptions that were already in the game but they just went about it in the most bare bones basic way. My guess is Sekiro is the half assed in between game while from works an an actual meaty title. You're welcome to enjoy a inferior world, no one's stopping you, just don't pretend it's fleshed out when it so clearly isn't.
>Alcohol extends on characters that's pretty much it
And the history of Ashina.
>it's not "smoother lore"
Integrating the lore dumps into gameplay by making it a character interaction that actually makes sense in the context of the story is absolutley smoother. You're just autistic and prefer item descriptions. Sekiro even has item descriptions like the firecrackers where they give background on a boss you encounter later.
>Sekiro is the half assed in between game while from works an an actual meaty title. You're welcome to enjoy a inferior world, no one's stopping you, just don't pretend it's fleshed out when it so clearly isn't.
And you're free to continue being a complete fucking retard pretending Sekiro isn't their best title which clearly had the most love put into it.
SEETHING
sekiro is an Activision flick, Bloodborne is connoisseur kino
>And you're free to continue being a complete fucking retard pretending Sekiro isn't their best title which clearly had the most love put into it.
That's just embarrassing, trust me when I say Sekiro was their in between game
Something's coming this e3
>trust me
Why would anyone trust a literal nobody retard? Why would From making another game somehow mean that Sekiro wasn't a main project? Why did your mother drink so much during pregnancy?
>My guess is Sekiro is the half assed in between game while from works an an actual meaty title.
No, it's not. I don't even like Sekiro and I can tell that's a dumb thing to say.
There's a reason Miyazaki wasn't that involved with Sekiro, it's obvious Bloodborne was a passion project, Sekiro felt like they needed to pay the bills. Something's coming
>There's a reason Miyazaki wasn't that involved with Sekiro,
He was the director.
>Miyazaki wasn't that involved with Sekiro
We'll be here whenever you're ready to post a real source.
true tier list
DS1: Great design, good execution
DS2: BEST design, worst execution
DS3: Worst design, best execution
Fight me
He didn't wright the item descriptions
He only laid down a very basic plot, leaving someone else to finish it
He only had creative input with one npc (Carp guy)
poor enemy variety
reskins out the ass
Reeks of a multi platform new IP being announced this e3 along side Sekiro DLC but what do I know, I'm just some fuck
You might actually be right.
>but what do I know
Absolutely nothing at all.
Just keep that floating around your head for the next 3 weeks, you should be happy honestly
>I have literally no source on any of my claims and nothing I say makes a shred of logic sense
>but my blinding stupidity and hatred of Sekiro mean that From announcing another game means Sekiro was a side project
You can't actually be this stupid, unless you're a DaS2fag in which case I fully believe you're this stupid.
There a coffin in it that changes your character's sex and it gives me a boner.
OwO
I know they can do better than Sekiro is all.
Dark souls and Sekiro were just shitty soul-less side projects to accumulate money for the ultimate comeback of the one true soulful Demon souls 2.
>I'm an absolute fucking retard with no source, no consistent logic, and no taste in games
Yup. You're a DaS2fag.
I don't hate sekrio, I dislike how they handled certain things so it's pretty middle of the road for me. That being said it's obviously one of my favorite games. 3 weeks isn't that long of a wait
Ds2 is the worst in the series by a longshot
Best build? I heard faith builds got nerfed into the ground. How's pyromancy?
>3 weeks isn't that long of a wait
For you to pretend that the existence of a From game somehow means that Sekiro was a side project? Please explain this impossibly stupid logic.
When i say it's a side project i more so mean for Miyazaki and honestly I don't get the feeling From was giving it their all when it came to enemies, bosses and level design.
>i more so mean for Miyazaki
Of which you have objectively no proof.
>and honestly I don't get the feeling From was giving it their all
Because you're an idiot, which was already established.
Guardian Ape has the best animations not just in From history, but video game history.
>tfw all ds games are good
>tfw loving or hating an entry is like a rorchard test that says more about you than about the game
Everything i said about his involvement is the story/world is out there in interviews, if you want to read them search for them yourself
>Because you're an idiot, which was already established.
If disliking reskins makes me an idiot, sure.
Easily my second favorite fight in sekiro, it's a fucking shame they decided to 2cat it
>All of the extrapolation I pulled out of my ass was totally said in interviews
>The director of the game didn't have much involvement in it, trust me
>scholar of the first shekel
fuck this cashgrab shit and fuck from for being hacks
>bosses
>BB>Sekiro
>human enemies are reskins
Lmao
cope pćuck
excellent bait
You have decent taste even if we disagree on the specifics.
My own ranking is BB>DS1/Sekiro>DS3>DeS/DS2
I think that BB is by far the best because of it's refreshing spin on the Souls formula and focus on melee with the trick weapons and moving to a more actiony direction while still being an ARPG. The amazing atmosphere and interesting lore further sealed the deal. Sekiro is also very good but kinda dragged down for me a bit because of how much it streamlines and the game could use some DLC and less bland music. The core combat is really tight though and the setting is to my taste.
I'm done here, everything i said is researchable but you've chosen to be dense because I don't lie to myself about Sekiros disappointing quality.
>Biggest weapon, magic, armor and build variety of all the games by far.
>Tons of shit to do.
>Very high replay value.
>Bonfire Aesthetics
>NG+ changes
>the perfect amount of non-linearity
>3 awesome DLC's
>Best PVP
>because I don't lie to myself about Sekiros disappointing quality.
Ironic
>I'm done here,
At last. We dont need shit opinions.
Nobody was questioning your appraisal of Sekiro's quality, they're mocking you for your frankly absurd belief that Miyazaki would spend 4 years personally directing a game only as "buffer" for some unknown title directed by some unknown person. As if the president of From Software would waste his own time on projects he isn't passionate about.
are we talking SOTFS or vanilla
There's no difference.
his true passion is Bloodborne so he made Deracine as a teaser for the sequel
>Scholar box
Gee whiz I wonder which version OP meant
Does it matter? Both are fucking terrible, just for slightly different reasons.
Best souls cover art.
>sekiro in god tier
>demon souls nowhere at all
Twist it.
kek
Bop it
As someone who is an action game enthusiast who has played all games in order around release and has several hundreds hours in the series:
DeS > DkS3 > DkS2 >BB > DkS
The setting and the music were great but the actual fight? Not very much.
kill yourself
>Action game enthusiast
>Doesn't immediately get flaccid and sick to the stomach playing floaty ass ds2.
>combat
>Ds3>BB
No.
>Bosses
>Ds3>BB
No.
If you didn't get the subtext of Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro yet, Miyazaki does not like doing sequels.
yes, and not just because it runs at three times the framerate
Refute this.
Laurence and Ebrietas should be there.
Why did Miyazaki say he was sad that didn't get to work on Dark Souls 2?
he was sad and ashamed his company pushed out such a turd
laurence is a reskin ON FIRE
> a reskin
Patently false.
>new swipe attacks
>AoEs
>a vastly different 2nd phase
You can't ignore this and say it's a reskin, just because it's the same model for a cleric beast but on fire.
>laurence is a reskin ON FIRE
And what is Champion Gundyr?
It has some cool fashion souls.
That's all I got.
I hate dark souls 2 with a fiery passion but I would include Pursuer on that list, I think he's kino.
Do you rike The Pursuer? What about 2 at the same time? KINO enough?
Honestly I would have been fine with Laurence if they’d given him a more unique model. The fact that it’s litterally just Cleric Beast on Fire is almost insulting. We’re supposed to beleive every single Cleric turned into a beast with exact same proportions?
Should have remodeled him a bit and at least given him a unique head, and some tattered robes.
But for someone so integral to the lore, he really should have been a 100% new boss fight although it’s highly likely that the person now named Micolash was originally Laurence before they re-wrote everything
>"Miyazaki is the director" is a very tenuous statement
No it's not, you fucking idiot. It's a directly credited title and role.
Again, it's a totally new boss fight, regardless of how he looks. It's also hypocritical, given how champion gundyr can be considered a reskin by your terms.
a good reskin
And so is Laurence.
>inb4 IT'S TOO BULLSHIT
Git gud.
Laurence
> one of the most important characters in lore
> part of paid DLC
> has two new moves compared to Cleric Beast, + surprise bonus phase
Gundyr
> extremly minor character in Dark Souls 3
> champ is in a hidden area of main game
> whole point is that it’s the same character, but in his prime
> a bunch of new moves compared to tutorial fight
I have no problem with Laurence as a boss (I even said all I really wanted was a more unique character model), but comparing Laurence and Gundyr is dumb.
Like the Dream Bosses in Hollowknight are just hard versions of normal bosses with extra attacks and more health, faster movement etc... which is fine. But imagine if the actual Hollow Knight itself was Lost Kin, instead of a unique fight with Lost Kin being somewhat out of the way optional challenge version of broken vessel.
...
>mental gymnastics: the post
It's an entirely new boss, deal with it.
Filtered.
Champ Gundyr was way easier than Laurence, btw.
champ is only hard when you're doing him at low level for the rings
ds2 has the worst combat yet the best pvp
explain to me how that works
funnest pvp by far, most hours in a souls game,(i've played them all)
Fuck, I forgot to finish this. Any tips for Aava, the King's Pet? I got the ring but I keep getting btfo'd by the swipes. Fucking rolling into legs man.
This is fucking pathetic.
dps race it with a twinblade
Thanks bratan.
Yeah, play a better game.
My tips is to delete the game.
I can get behind this. Best decision I made.
Artorias is a very overrated boss, change my mind
Hot take: all From games have strong points and flaws and none of the are perfect but taken as a whole they attest to the company’s brilliant vision of game design and their staff’s dedication and attention to detail, so choosing the “best” game of the series is ultimately a matter of personal preference because they’re all great
I got to Drangleic castle and the first DLC, but I got distracted and started replaying DeS and DS1. I don't want to keep playing DS2.
PRAISE THE SUN
>First half of Dark souls 1 is supposed to be god tier when you have a boss like Capra demon which is a "boss" because it fucks up your camera
This is true for everything but DS2. That game is objectively terrible and fails to live up to the standards of the rest of their titles.
> ds3>bb for anything
YIKES
DS3 has better bosses, everything in bloodborne main game is easy as fuck
Isn't it funny how taking the director, the lead programmer and some other people away from a project can create the most controversial game in the companys history?
Capra Demon is overrated. You don't even need to go up the stairs to get rid of the dogs
Capra is pleb filter. Everyone who is autistic about not using shields gets rightfully fucked.
Not really. Most team members are code monkeys and taiwanese texture farms.
but the fashion user
