Seems like a lot of effort to go through to essentially save $20.

If the point is to save money, I'd rather wait for a sale and purchase a game individually. I have a bunch of shit on Switch as it is. I can only see myself getting it if Nintendo releases two games I really want a few months from each other, and I honestly don't see that happening.

>digital
no thanks

Astral chain and mahvel for me

>No Daemon X Machina
It and Astral Chain are the only Switch games I want this year, guess there's no reason for me to get a voucher.

Reminder to wait until the end of July to buy your tickets, to maximise the amount of time they're valid.

Or at least wait until Maker 2 is out.

Attached: 1529821488388.png (431x697, 454K)

>buy two games and save 10 dollars
>literally excuses nintendo keeping games full priced for years and years

how on earth

nintendies need to be gassed

Are they going to put future game releases from unrevealed games such as AC or LM3?

Because I'm planning to get MM2 and AC digitally, so that's the perfect combo for me.

This

welcome to Yea Forumsintendogaf
this is seen as a normal, completely acceptable and consumer friendly practice here

Games drop in price because people stop buying them

Nintendo games don't because people keep buying them. They're evergreen titles.

Wait...I'm confused...how does this even work?
>Buy full single priced game
>Gives you an option to buy a second game for 20% off
>Expires after one year

Attached: 185417a5f035b7ff1e9a8fad27cbe15e5e4e1dafc0f66c4e825f3e6edfb4e764.png (600x600, 422K)

Good advice. There could be some game released in June 2020 on the list.

Attached: Chen_trolls_newbs.png (680x544, 689K)

With the eshop cards it's $35 off two games.

Are you that surprised? Nincels love eating shit.

Out of that list, played some on wii u, others are not worth using a ticket on and have over half
That leaves mario maker + pokemon lets go so nothing basically

What's so hard to understand?

buy 100$ voucher
use voucher to download any two games on that list with no further charge.

Explain Kid Icarus Uprising and Bayonetta 2

>Nintendo games
>Sales
based retard.

Attached: 1518668361149.gif (480x479, 263K)

I already got pretty much every game I'm interested in that's on that list. Either on the Wii U (Bayonetta, Donkey Kong, MK8, Hyrule Warriors, Breath of the Wild), or on the Switch (Smash, Mario Party, Octopath, Xenoblade the worst of the 3, Kirby, Odyssey, Sand Sploon 2)

I wish they'd throw in some actual interesting games.

>they know everyone will buy mainline pokemon anyway so it isn't eligible

Attached: 1539750254018.jpg (685x671, 95K)

>doesn't know the difference between sale and price cut
Well, well, well. Seems like someone needs to open up a fucking dictionary. I mean, maybe it was in my head when I bought Xenoblade 2 for 45 bucks during Black Friday, and when I bought Splatoon 2 for the same price in January.

>bought and have been playing Dragons Dogma for like a week and still having fun
>barely put a dent in FF7 and X, didn't quite finish 9, obviously haven't started X-2
>haven't tried the Travis Strikes Back DLC yet
>now this voucher deal makes first-party titles tempting where I was initially driven away by their price (Xenoblade, Tropical Dong, Octopath)
Too many games is a pretty nice problem to have

Attached: 1533255069922.gif (260x300, 1.85M)

Mario maker is €70. Fuck off Nintendo.

Mario Maker 2 and Bayo 1 + Bayo 2.

Mario Maker 2
Astral Chain

Everything else I either own, don't care about, or is Fire Emblem which i'm on the fence on anyway.

in addition you get 500 coins from eshop so basically paying $80 for two games

>Fire Emblem
>Astral Chain
>Mario Maker

Should I buy two tickets and hope Pokemon Shield is eligible?

Attached: 1497124327715.png (371x353, 148K)

It won’t be

That's a pretty good deal, honestly.
Now if only there were some games I actually wanted.
Hopefully this system sticks around so in 2022 or 23 when I finally get a switch I can get some cheap games.

let it happen

>buying digital games

TWEWY is a full-price game?

Attached: 1494805840586.jpg (699x485, 56K)

nintendo tax. everything's full price except indie garbage you can get on any platform under the sun.

yes user I'm sure plenty of people are still buying timeless masterpieces such as 1 2 switch and ARMS

I already have all the 1st party ninty games I want

Animal Crossing and i'm done for this generation.

yep, welcome to the world of nintensóy pricing

did you know that donkey kong tropical freeze, a last gen port, released at and still costs $60 on sóytch, but the original wii u version was $50?

>he thinks Nintendo won't keep them at the same price with this or without it
Retard.

???? Reason? Some faggot will use both tickets fr both versions. Plus basically every 1st party release is eligible. You're a retard.

Based physical bro

I've decided to get 2.
Animal Crossing will be the backup plan if Pokemon isn't eligible, or if Astral Chain is delayed or something.

Attached: 1392310408672.jpg (800x600, 151K)

Man am I glad I’m not a nintendron3

> Some faggot will use both tickets fr both versions
exactly, the whole reason pokemon still gets 2 versions is to make money from retards who buy both, they're not going to let them save money on that

>you can download two Nintendo games!
>download

Yes that's what I want to do. Buy digital versions of some of the only games that keep a good value.

Also, what is even the point of this? Did I miss something? Save some chump change to buy their brand of Monopoly money to.. buy games..? It's redundant and pointless, especially since in the rare instance I want a Nintendo brand game, I usually want a collector's edition and/or early preorder bonus, which this won't give me. Also these dumbass things even expire, and currently I don't even buy 2 Nintendo games a year. I'd probably lose one from not spending it on time.

If stores actually accepted these for physical copies, like a manufacture's coupon, that'd be a different story. I'd at least consider it then, but it'd still be a hard sell.

Attached: 407d6d8c264.png (500x356, 122K)

>maximum of 20 dollar discount when online was already 20 dollars

Attached: 112.jpg (640x640, 120K)

>Also these dumbass things even expire,
this is honestly the best part
you spend $100 on virtual """coupons""" and if you don't use them on time they just disappear and the money is gone. it's fucking genius from nintendo.

>collector's edition and/or early preorder bonus
lmao
Argument discarded.
Enjoy paying more for some tacky pokemon badges I guess.

I only buy digital games on the Switch. Not going to sell them anyway.

It's actually a maximum of $180 discount, for the maximum of 8 vouchers plus eshop coins. That's also including the -$20 from online subscription.

Now of course there aren't 16 games worth buying on the list, but we should get our facts right.

Attached: 1486534276719.jpg (436x361, 39K)

but user, it's $20 of FREE money you get, and all you have to do is give nintendo $120 up front! it's a steal!

it's kinda like that twitch prime deal: you get a $20 online subscription for FREE, and all you have to do is pay $40 for 3 months of Amazon prime! LITERALLY FREE MONEY

>I AM SILLY

Enjoy missing out on stuff like this in the rare instance it occurs.

Attached: legend-of-zelda-wind-waker-ganondorf-figure.jpg (650x467, 60K)

Fair enough user. I personally like clicking carts in and out my 3DS/switch

I might use it for preordering Mario Maker and use the other for BotW.

THIS

Gross, would preffer a free new switch game to play each month like with PS3.

nobody will actually get nearly as much discount from it
anyone who actually wants to own 16 of those games either already owns most of them, or can't afford them and a $10 discount on each won't change that

Check my retard math. Can I buy Switch Online right now for $20, and get two vouchers, then get Mario Maker 2 + Switch Online for $70 which gives me 2 years of online for only $30 and then I save $20 total with the vouchers on two games. If this works, this is the most efficient, right? All in all that's $190 for 3 full priced games and 2 years of switch online which is about $30 saved.

How? You just buy the thing and then get the two games, save $20. That's literally it.

>vouchers
>Mario Maker 2 + Switch Online
I doubt you can combine these two.

>Spend $100 to get two games that should be already discounted cause they've been out for a long time

it isn't eligible because they haven't put it on the eShop yet, every other eligible game is, they literally say more to be added later on the eshop

You mean I couldn't buy vouchers now and then get MM2+NSO or buy MM2+NSO with a voucher, because for the latter I never intended to.

oh wow you just blew $190 on a bunch of overpriced garbage and saved a whopping $30! truly the deal of the century, you really beat the system this time

god I fucking hate this board

It says future eligible titles will be added on the eShop description, I doubt they aren't going to add all the upcoming first party Nintendo releases

Oh I see.
I'm not sure how long you have to redeem the online subscription that comes with MM2.
You might want to check that, and then just buy enough months to get you there in the meantime.

>saving money bad
>reddit spacing
seething fag with no videogames to play detected

>Ever buying digital

Vouchers would have to be half price for me to even consider this

wait you can buy the voucher 8 times on 1 account? I don't see it saying it has a limit anywhere.

That's what I've heard here.

Attached: 1478684410328.jpg (1024x576, 60K)

I think it might be 8 vouchers at the same time on your account.

>BUY TWO DIGITAL GAMES FOR FULL PRICE AND SAVE $20
or I can just get those games physical later for less than $40

As someone who works in my country's equivalent of GameStop, you'd be surprised

if by "later" you mean two years then ya. nintendo 1st party games never go on sale

if you're saving $20 then it's not full price you fucking retard

Based and physicalpilled.

Games are often $90 here (aus), so $135 for two new games is pretty neat.
EB Games are probably seething right now.

Attached: 1513186842427.webm (540x300, 337K)

The worst part is that these retarded fucks are buying digital versions of $60 physical games which have no fucking value and in light of the fact that BRAND NEW physical titles have started dropping prices in retails.

So
I bought Splatoon 2 physical and played like 1300 hours now. If i buy it digital, can I keep my save data? Thinking of buying the voucher and selling my physical copy because the Splatoon 2 cart is always inside my Switch anyway.

Attached: 9967dae73f1ec073d7a1127665173083.jpg (718x805, 53K)

What a fucking scam, some of the games on that list are $50, essentially saving you nothing if you pick those

>in light of the fact that BRAND NEW physical titles have started dropping prices in retails
lmao maybe for whatever Bioware flops you're playing

Attached: 1521606247066.png (553x615, 421K)

>If i buy it digital, can I keep my save data?
Yes. My Zelda cart broke and bought it digital it. Went full digital after that.

Never knew that Mario Odyssey, Splatoon, and virtually every Switch/XBone/PS4 title was owned by Bioware retard. But of course you wouldn't know of this since you never leave your home.

Nothing because
>Digital

There have been multiple first party game sales over the past couple of months, both physical and digital.

this
got odyssey and botw $20 off and dong freeze for free

Attached: 3cd.png (581x398, 58K)

>no actual examples of "brand new" discounts in retail stores
lel

The issue being?

>he doesn't know how to shop for deals on games

Attached: logo_cheapy.png (66x76, 5K)

Is it weird that I'd rather have a digital title then a used one?

>no examples
Proof is in the pudding sweetie, and I'm still hungry.

Maybe, but not really.
I've had plenty of fucked used games in the past.

meh, physical is better for single player experiences you're going to shelf after you're done with, like Odyssey or BotW

Digital is better for games you're going to be playing constantly with high replay value like Mario Kart, Splatoon, Mario Maker, etc

March 10th had all the Mario games on sale. Best Buy, Walmart, Target, FUCKING GAMESTOP, and Amazon took 50% off Mario games with the purchase of a Switch. Party, 8 Deluxe, Odyssey, NSMBU, and Aces were 33% off physical and $20 off digital.
nintendo.com/whatsnew/detail/celebrate-mar10-day-with-sales-and-more/

Best Buy and Target recently had B1G1 50% off too.

This, though I got Smash digital and physical because I have the whole series on display.

Do you get gold coins back for buying the vouchers basically saving even more money?

I don't know. I was thinking about the Mario Maker + 12 months of online for only 10 bucks extra deal. 69.99 for game+a year of online is a pretty solid deal.

And what the fuck do you want 2 years of Nintendo Online: Literally Paying For Nothing for?

Your shitpost falls apart when you realize that 1-2-Switch is 35 dollars and ARMS is 50 dollars (easily found for less too)

Neither are full 60 dollar titles right now. But games that keep on selling like crazy such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Yep.

I can't tell if this is shilling or Nintentards are actually excited

Playing games? I'll easily have enough interest for at least 2 years.

>anime fag btfo

GTA V sold a extra 17 million last year and that game isnt 60 fucking bucks anymore

I'm between Deluxe, crafted world or TWEWY. Opinions?

>Deluxe
Wait for Mario Maker instead.
>Crafted World
Only if you're absolutely starved for a Yoshi game.
>TWEWY
Great game, shit port.

I bought Crafted thinking it would be more of Woolly and ended up massively disappointed. No idea which "Deluxe" you're talking about. Mario Kart? NSMB?

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 108K)

>£84 post-discount
>Brand new titles go for £40 on Amazon
Without even shopping around, I'm still getting fucked. Plus, 90% of these titles have been on deep discount at retailers already. Real fucking con if you live in the UK

NSMB

Yea, I'm thinking MM2 is going to make it obsolete. But is twewy really shitty on Switch?

>if you live in the UK
Didn't Amazon have a random $10 off all Switch games thing for a day?

I got bored of the first Mario maker after 20 hours and I’m a big Mario fan. The second game looks like like there is a lot of variety. Should I buy a switch for it? I really want to play odyssey and I’ve nevertheless played Zelda before so I’ll probably give that a go too

I don't know how you managed to get bored of the first after 20 hours
I had 1k+ hours in it. So much fun between creating your own courses for other people to play and playing through random stages of other people as well as searching out the really cool levels on community hubs.

Idk either. I wish I could play it and give it another go but my nephew scratched the disc. Thing is, I think I went into the first game believing that I was a Mario god, and hen a lot of the levels proved me wrong. It could’ve been frustration but I can’t really remember. I haven’t played a Mario game since then and like I said, I really want to play odyssey along with mm2. I just don’t know if I should wait till the switch goes down a bit. Nintendo never has any good deals

Bump

This is so fucking stupid and people are falling for it, they gave a lot of free games for the 3DS, a few for the WiiU and now they are giving you a 20 dollar discount? What the fuck? Why are people so stupid.

>Offer is just buying games at full price

Fucking hell Nintendo.
Why people are so on the fence about hacking the damn thing is beyond me,

I'm waiting to see if Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be eligible. If not then I'll probably get Three Houses since the box art fucking sucks.

>being genuinely angry at the idea of saving 20 bucks
Seek help

It's likely considering Nintendo is publishing it on Switch outside of Japan.

You don't save 20 bucks retard, you get the option to spend 20 bucks less than normally, stop being stupid.

Astral Chain and Fire Emblem is the way to go

>free games for 3DS
The ambassador set was a consolation prize for people who bought the 3DS before the price drop. Club Nintendo games were rewards for buying other products and doing surveys. Just because people abused the system to get either for free doesn't mean they were intended to be free. Additionally, the value of the current gold coin system is actually a better than the Club Nintendo coin to game value while not abusing loopholes. It sucks there aren't physical prizes anymore though.

Not only is it a full-price game, but it's also a shit game.

I got Pikmin 3 completely free without club Nintendo, and I got free games by buying other games on WiiU and 3DS, them being a consolation price doesn't change the fact that they were free, now they are making you spend money on their online and only then, you get the option to spend "less" on games you would have never bought other way. Look at this thread, full of people asking what they should be "saving on", dick move from Nintendo.

Remember when you could buy three physical 3DS games and you'd get one for free after registering them? Whatever happened to those promotions?

>brand new

DS twewy is one of my favorite games of all time, I enjoyed playing it on the switch, but it isn't a good port.

OH MY GOD.

Everyone make a mexican account.
Most games are A LOT cheaper in pesos.
Va-11 Hall-A is 15 bucks in the USA eshop but its 125 pesos (6.58 bucks) in the mex region.

Id like this to work on indies, please

This

This doesnt actually work if you have a Credit card from a country thats not Mexico.

Your bank doesn't let you buy stuff from other regions? Hah.

I can order jap ship just fine and it transfer my money to yen and pesos.

No, what I actually do is mark my region as Alaska so I dont get taxed

The voucher is pretty damn stupid from a customer perspective. Most games get priceslashed to 50 bucks after a week of release.

Does it even have a release date yet?

If I wasn't more interested in the mario maker + 12 months of NSO bundle offer I'd totally buy these vouchers and use them for mario maker and pokemon. Easy money saved since I would have wanted those games digitally I guess.

My problem with this is here in the UK this is really hard to find good reason to bother with.

Most Nintendo first party games on the second hand market can be found for £40 with a little searching. So this is only worthwhile for upcoming games for me.

But then with games like Astral Chain and Fire Emblem I'd probably want them physical anyway.

Cool offer, I definitely see the potential for saving, but I'll probably not use it.

Its 2400 pesos in mexico. (125 bucks) so, yeah, its an even bigger scam since the games are also like 70-80 bucks here.

You can still save $10 if you buy the online alone and then the vouchers.
Mario maker 2 + online = $70
second game = $60
total = $130

online = $20
mario maker 2 + other game with vouchers = $100
total = $120

What? I'm confused now.
I already have online. It'll run until uhh september I think, or something like that.

I was planning on getting mario maker + 12 months bundle for 70 bucks to extend the online.

especially with this shitty list. Half of these games should be 20-30 retail, but Nintendo never lowers the price of their garbage.

oh, nvm then

>should be 20-30 retail
Why?

wait actually what I said still holds true.
If you buy the vouchers you can get MM2 and another game for $100. If you buy the bundle, you pay $70 for MM2 and the online + $60 for a second game. So yeah, if you renew your subscription separately and buy the vouchers you still save $10.

I wish I cared more about my Switch.
It's neat but it just feels unfinished. For a tablet it's lacking simple stuff you would expect a tablet to have these days. On top of that Nintendos online is kinda shit and it feels so basic, like this is their first attempt at having online in a system despite it being the norm for several generations now. Also still having to buy a lan adapter thing is horseshit.

Smash is fun I guess and I should play more BotW but it just feels like I bought an unfinished console.

ok

Except you paid $20 to have the privilege to save $20

Those were brand new, dingus.

So let me get this straight, if I buy SMM2 with the online service, I get 2 vouchers that I can use to get another 2 games?

No Fantastic 4 no buy user, never forget that

Nintendo really fucked up this board's brain.

No. The vouchers are for people who already have the online subscription to get two digital games of their choice for less.

The selection is pretty overwhelmed, a lot of these games were literally on discount in the european eshop a few weeks ago, without the need for an online membership. Also a bunch of these you can literally get physical used copies for less than half the pricew nowadays. Nintendo is so full of bullshit, but at least they're trying.

Can you gift the vouchers?
I could see myself buying one game for myself, and gifting one to a friend.
