Literally any game by Love-de-Lic.
"Level Up!"
That game was Lost Kingdoms for me.
And it did get a sequel! But I kind of enjoyed the original first desu.
I have both the roms, I should replay those games already.
Survival Kids
Forzaken
Fuck Square Enix, seriously fuck them
Dark Messiah
I think it's for the best.
>old sad frog
take me back
It counts
Harry potter and the quidditch world cup.
Even a remastered version wouldn't be too bad tbqh.
Is there any obscure game only you played that actually got a sequel?
Tobal
I loved the dungeon crawler mode even if it was clunky as hell
Restaurant Empire
Legend of Dragoon
There is though, just not by the same name.
From the abyss
Shadow Squadron 3
Agony.
Not exactly obscure but nobody played it.
This was the best, there was a snowboarding game for the ps2 that I played for hours as well.
Not really obscure, but Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy, basically any Level-5 games that are co-owned by Sony, that Sony has no plans to release fully to Level-5 nor make sequels to.
Drawn to Life series
Why they didn’t made this game and sakaguchi doesn’t want to develop big budget games anymore.
winback 2 project poseidon
it was cool, real time perspectives was amazing
The Disaster Report series? There’s a new one coming out
I miss feels good man pepe
this
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Juiced 2. Though I liked the first one more.
The good times are long gone now user...
It has so much fucking potential
This game was like dynasty warriors or and those other chink slasher games but on roids and 10x more satisfying with amazing level designs, it shocks me that it never really got big or a sequel despite how amazing it was, one of those hidden gems that never really got what it deserved along with area 51.
Code of Princess
C&C GENERALS 2
FYCK YOU EA FOR NOT ONLY FUCKING IT UP WITH MICROTRANSACTIONS BUT THEN CANCELLING IT OVER CORPORATE BULL AND FUCKING OVER YOUR DEVS
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Stretch Panic.
Man, I would love Chulip to get a remaster.
Aren't there like 3 survival kids games? And then the Lost In Blue series to follow that?
You mean the PS1 game? I loved that, but I don't think it really needs a sequel. Despiria exists at least.
Lost Odyssey would have literally been the perfect Xenogears sequel
If you’re thinking of Lost in Blue, there’s also a game called Survival Kids 2 that never came to the west. You start the game kidnapped by pirates. Not kidding.
This game shows up in every “hidden gem” or similar thread that I’m starting to wonder if it really isn’t that obscure at all.
I liked it a lot though
How is From the Abyss? I always thought it looked awesome when it came out but I never actually played it.
Have you played the Switch remaster yet?
It's for the best it never happens. They'd just add real gacha to it this time around.
I LOVED YOU
I thought star wars bounty hunter was a great game, with some really nice creative desicions. It's biggest problem was the cancerous lives system
Dynamite heady
Evil genius
Gun star heros
I wish they at least ported it in the pc.
Maybe it's just too good for this world.
Deathtrap Dungeon
Her name is fucking Demon's Souls.

>EAT THEM!
No I mean the kicking simulator from 2006. It's not obscure on Yea Forums, but every gamer I've spoken to irl hasn't heard of it. They always thank me after trying it, though
Everquest 2 not obscure but I’ve literally never seen anyone mention it on this site
boktai
Eastern mind had a sequel but it was considered lost media until some user found it
Oh. Yeah, that one was fun too. Might I recommend Dark Messiah on the PS1? It's a really good horror game. The english name is 'Hellnight.'
This game isn't very good though
Chad waifu choice, my dude.
But that got a sequel. Multiple, in fact.
there was literally TWO fucking sequels
2 is out already?
Bladestorm ;~;
Imagine Koei doing European wars...
>ign.com
I'm still fucking mad.
nope. due this summer though. dont mind waiting for it if it gets delayed.
Bruh I loved that game also. First was better too IMO.
I wish my dad gave me a succubus. All my dad gave me was childhood trauma.
this could have made a pretty interesting series
Folklore. Most of its flaws come from being an early PS3 title and I would have loved to see a more refined take on the concept of capturing and using creatures to fight with. I know the monsters make another appearance in some shitty jap only game but that doesn't count.
You better shut your mouth buster!
impossible creatures
It makes me sad a second is a never ever, but I honestly don't know if anyone that has the rights to Einhander even cares anymore.
Don't laugh.
Snoopy Flying Ace.
Came here to post this
>tfw Capcom probably doesn’t even remember this game exists
shake shake
No Rengoku 3.
This had God-Tier atmosphere and was my first Star Fox. So disappointed when I played Assault and realized all it was was the minigame from Adventures as its own thing (though I ended up loving it for what it was).
When I played Twilight Princess and realized what the Zelda franchise was I busted a big fucking nut.
Rogue Galaxy
It had some cool stuff like the bug training, and I enjoyed the fact that weapons and armor had unique designs that were on the character models. Plus I wanked to the amazon girls jiggles for times than Id like to admit...
God that dog was such a dick when I played this when I was young.
>No more Legacy of Kain games
After seeing what happens when you force something to make more content [Starwars,Startrek, Dragonball and so on] I think I can look back and smile. I may not get a new game but at least it wasn't dragged out of a cold grave and danced around like a puppet.
Eternally mad.
It had a indirect sequels
iNinja. Was my favorite PS2 game and I usually replay it once a year.
Too bad the last boss was fucking trash.
Oh shit this game was great, reminded me of Road Rash.
i actually enjoyed it. some of the twists were fucked up - like ai getting pregnant with heath's kid but then getting killed by the aliens before she could give birth. or having to sacrifice the lemur's life to power the airship. or the "boss fight" against the protagonist's mother.
it's hard to believe this game was made by the same studio that made ribbit king.
Brute force.
Metal Walker
was my first waifu collector game
Steamboat Chronicles. We even got as far as a teaser trailer but then blam cancelled after 5 year hiatus:youtu.be
Reminded me of the original Battlefronts when I played this at a friend's house. Maybe check those out if you haven't already.
Jet Force Gemini
Escape Velocity Nova
Spin Doctor
The Last Story
Monkey Shines
Space Station Silicon Valley
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Brain Drain
Fester's Quest
Eternal Darkness
SketchFighter

Bubble Trouble

So many great games lost like tears in rain
I used to play the hell out of that game on Xbox Live, I remember the turrets were pretty OP and I also remember playing "pigskin" game mode or something. Fantastic game.
Innocent life
Singularity
Why doesn't Nintendo just buy Square Enix & Mistwalker? They have nearly 200 Billion dollars
Butthurt console player
:(
Why do they need to buy square enix? It’s a big game company I remember it can sustain itself as for mistwalker there the last story flop and sakaguichi just want to make low budget mobile games i don’t think enjoy developing big budget console games
Invisible Inc. but people loved this game make a fucking sequel already you Klei fucktards. fuck don't starve
What's funny is, there's literally nothing stopping them from making another one except possible copyright infringement issues
Although like 5 years ago Capcom did a brief limited reissue of the game
Pigskin football was hella cool, and the most unique mode in the game than standard airplane dogfights. Shame most of the already small playerbase seemed to avoid it.
>tfw camping the unlimited-cd power-up in the ice cave map and becoming an untouchable GOD with electroshock and thumpers
>there will never be a massive purge of underage frogposting retards on this web zone
Light Tracer
oh shit, this game was sick. the sequence where you first discover you can block bullets with your arms is the peak of gaming
fuckin great taste user. I legit loved the feeling of flicking the controller and any arpg where you grind monsters for their drops/ally version of themselves is my shit
As a massive Pikmin fan this game was fucking amazing while I was waiting for Pikmin 3. It never got a sequel, instead it got an unironically SOULLESS remake on the vita. I'm glad it got a PC port but I remember hearing the port was shit.
Super Worms, by Wiering Software. :(
pc port is bad enough that you are better off emulating it, at least it was for me.
They can give Final Fantasy, Valkyrie Profile, Chrono Trigger, TWEWY & NieR to Mistwalker. Also the Dragon Quest team could help develop Zelda games
I feel like they hired an actual novelist to do the story and then told him to rip off Earthbound instead of letting him do his own thing
It hurts guys
Shadow Hearts
i feel like the earthbound comparisons are very overrated because of the intro sequence (which is an obvious tribute to the mother series). after that part, it didn't remind me much of earthbound at all.
MY NIGGA!!!
YOU TOO, KNOW THE PAIN OF THAT ENDING
Nomad
It was the shit but none of you have played it
My Neger
Zack and Wiki

Does Earth/Starsiege count. Its gotten quite abit of sequels and spinoffs but seems under the radar to most people. Id have a sequel in a heartbeat.

Cmon I cant be the only one who played and loved this fucking game
Oh damn I forgot about those, those squito mines or something too, I used to fuck people up with those.
I know you also became untouchable when you got the doghouse upgrade after like 5 or 10 kills(?) with what seemed like 10 times more health it was ludicrous.
I JUST WANT MORE GAMES LIKE ACT RAISER 1
ALSO I WANT MORE GRUNTZ CONTENT EVEN IF ITS A SHITTY BATTLE ROYALE
Capitalism 2
because it was agony to play through
Thanks Apex Legends.
aggressive inline, loved that game.
Dart was originally going to be DLC for Playstation Allstars and I'm such a shill I would have bought it exclusively for that.
I don't know why Sony isn't benefiting from their own fucking RPG, rather throw it away developing the Vita and abandoning it
Excave some-fucking-how got TWO sequels.
Snake Rattle and Roll.
Unreal
Nowadays people only remember Unreal Tournament, but not the OG Unreal.
It never got a real sequel. The travesty that was developed by Legend and has no connection to the original does not count.
Came in to post this.
>Gex 4 never ever
God does that fucking hurt. It hurts so much.
Unreal was boring as shit. Only reason I don't write essays against it is because Unreal 2 ended up being one of the worst games of all time
my fetish is polished reflective surfaces that look like glass from heaven
Lisa
I swear this was written by Germans instead of Japs. Even even has that "how to draw manga" artstyle
Quantum Conundrum
Seconding Space Station Valley
Singularity. Pretty solid game, though I only ever played it once.
Planetside, that game was on lifesupport not even a year after launch. No idea why they made a big budget sequel
Have you ever tried Legend of Legaia? Probably one of my favorite PSX Rpg's and it's main magic system is like that
Also as an aside but a feature I love. The weapons are armor you equip actually show
>Geist
My fucking Negro. Such an underrated gem. I remember playing it at a demo station back when it released and thinking it was a fun and unique shooter but didn't get around to playing it until years later when Gamestop clearanced out all of their GC games.
xenosaga
now that xenoblade is popular all hope is lost
Unreal has different pace than other oldschool shooters. Unlike ADHD-addled romps, it is a slow and methodical journey across hostile world.
Still one of my most favourite games thanks to visual design that does not even try to be realistic.
Do you remember that particle fire?
She'll never shake shake again
rip is peace
It did get a sequel though, on the DS.
Soleil
I would sell my friends soul for a sequel
Came here to post this FUCK
Normality. The American version cast was so good, it was a shame they didn’t reunite
That game was an absolute gem, stategy mode in a top down fighting game? Genius
I think this got a remaster
Right off the fuckin bat. Gezz I need to find my Gamecube...
I just loved the fact that it was Diablo 2 + combos. Comfy OST to boot.
youtube.com
>listening to the whispers of memories when Nexus is one punch away from death
>"Derrick... why?"
Gave me chills. Nexus saw that timeline where I touched Alex's tiddies until I got a game over.
You want "obscure" I'll give you some hidden long forgotten gem
Tokyo Jungle
>The weapons are armor you equip actually show
hell fucking yes my nigger. every game is improved at least half a letter grade with this small but simple feature
El shaddai.
It got that dungeon crawler but it's not really a sequel, and it only just has some character cameos. That was such a wonderfully made game, aesthetically, the story, even the gameplay. It wasn't to everyone's taste but it was so simple and well done as opposed to trying to be some overexpanded crazy shit with lots of combos.
I miss this game ;(
There was a Vita port with more content if I remember correctly.
Holy shit this. IDGAF what anyone says I enjoyed the fuck out of Too Human. This one will defienlty never happen since noone will dare touch that franchise with a ten foot pole after that lawsuit. I wonder who even owns the IP now? Epic?
Pic related is not exactly obscure but I rarely hear anyone talk about it. Defensibly deserves a remaster/reboot of some kind.
NO.
That's what they said about Nier
I will never play SkyGunner 2...
MS, they always owned the rights. The issue with the franchise was never the game, it was that silicon knights used epic engine code without paying for it, MS wouldn't bail them out and basically cut ties after cooperating with c ourt orders to recall/destroy all copies of the game, so they got shafted and left with a ton of legal fees. After finishing that xmen game to finish paying their debts they couldn't find any more work and shut down.
A too human sequel "LOOK WHOS BACK FROM THE DEAD" would be great fuel, but the genre doesn't really have room for more players on the field, so to speak. Third person shooters aren't exactly the most popular genre since uncharted caused such massive burnout. GTA/RDR2 have cemented their place as online titles in the space.
Imagine....well nu-asscreed team couldn't do it but maybe batman arkham asylum team could
Oh, I know the story I just forgot about Microsoft for some reason. Might as well throw Eternal Darkness on the pile too since it seems even that "spiritual successor" they announced a few years back has been canned.
Trajectile
FIFA
Kessen 3
Was my first PS2 game. It was unique and weird and I liked it.
Project Snowblind
Outlive.
Mount & Blade
...
Honestly it kinda sucked. Invisible war was better
DmC devil may cry
Sword and Sandal II
There'll never be any kind of zombie perspective campaign ever again
Ah that was good cheesey fun
Literally unheard of compared to DaS
I think PS's cyberpunk aesthetic looks better.
Threads of Fate/Dewprism. Even had a bit of sequel bait.
Also Tomba. Maybe doesn't count because there are already 2 games, but I still want another.
>We'll never get to see Keen vs Mortiman McMire
Is it weird that I feel like if remade as like a E-10 rated version of Doom 4, it could be kinda fun?
Commander Keen is such a great franchise. I'm super sad it got axed before its prime.
Was Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death obscure?
>tfw no third Maximo game
>tfw I will never look for Sophia in Heaven
>tfw nobody on Yea Forums will know what I'm talking about
Why am I still here?
came in here to post this

i dont know what you're talking about but i remember game informer advertised the fuck out of that game. full page spreads in like 6 straight issues
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
You will never feel the spirit of vengar on multiplayer
Cubivore
Billy Hatcher
Unreal was like, the proto-Metroid Prime. I played it years after the fact and loved the hell out of it. Never could get into the multiplayer ones, but OG Unreal was the good shit.
The two Maximo games were great. Basically 3D versions of the Ghost and Goblins games. If you have the means and the time, I highly recommend playing them.
This psi-ops the mindgate conspiracy and timeshift
whats worse, never getting a sequel to your beloved game or getting one that is consolized soulless trash?
Half Life 2
I thought the dev released a huge patch last year & was still actively making the game?
don't tell me he gave up after all these years, the game was amazing felt like a much slower more methodical metal slug
I mean, theres Osu tatakae ouendan. Its just elite beat agents before they were westernized
>I-Ninja
Definitely this. Also pic related. I want PS2-era action platformers to make a return.
They gave up and began making another game, after releasing CC on steam without actually finishing it. That huge update was basically everything they had made over last 5 years or so.
F-Zero GX, better than Mario Kart.
man this is really obscure.
what is it?
only quality wiki I found was this spaniard's autistic passion project fadingsunscastellano.fandom.com
I played it when I was young and I got too scared of the stuff in there and never actually played it proper.
World in Conflict.
Not really obscure and Wargame is pretty similar but still.
Lost Magic
Legitimately the greatest magic casting system in any video game i've ever played.
>Have to draw elemental runes on the touch screen to cast spells.
>can combine runes together to make new spells.
>Can focus on certain elementa to make them stronger.
>go from casting basic bitch fireballs and healing spells to summoning dragons made of light and calling down cataclysmic meteors and biblical floods.
It hurts
on the off chance that this is the ps2 game that I faintly remember but have never been able to find even though it almost certainly isn't, what game?
Silver. Great little RPG with an unusual control scheme. Definite recommend to anyone who hasn't played it
I have that on physical copy. Used to play with my frens, taking turns on the computer
mfw underrail is getting a dlc
ah, nevermind, found it and it's not it
i wonder if I'll ever find that game, I know it exists but with how hard it is to find it feels like it doesn't and I made it up
nosferatu wrath of malachi
Witcher 2.
Dr. Muto
I want to mutate into different creatures and actually be able to collect every isotope dammit
Are there any pics of this same character by this artist not eating? Watching people eat makes me feel sick.
I cannot think of a single obscure game I played that I'd clamor to get a sequel to. Even games like Ristar are ultimately, forgettable duds. Guess I'd like to see Mappy ported more often than it is. Maybe a Cannon Spike successor? Yeah that'd be fun as fuck
It wasn't obscure but I sure seemed like the only one to have liked it
Evolve
it deserved better
fuck 2K
Jet Force Gemini though considering Rare at the moment I'd never ever want it.
Alpha Protocol
Advent Rising Trilogy
Prince of Persia '08..2
Republic Commando 2
Coded Arms Assault
Burnout Takedown 2
Shadow Complex 2
Sunset Overdrive 2
Hulk Ultimate Destruction 2
Dragon's Dogma 2
bulletwitch 2
Zone of The Enders 3
Resistance 4
Kingdoms of Amalur 2
Dark Void 2
Ghost Recon future soldier 2
Rygar, proper sequel
dark messiah
Freedom Fighters
Maybe there's a chance though... I read Eidos retained the rights to it after separating from Square Enix.
yeah, Tomba!
sequel wasn't quite as good, but had some cool stuff going for it.
Mirror's Edge
Eternal Darkness. Fuck you Nintendo.
Loved this game. I loved that it was such a small scale of a much larger war. You did your part of something bigger, and that just makes it so much better. There's no chosen one in war that goes to every major battle and wins by themselves.
That arena robo-fighting game that had klayman from the neverhood as a playable character.... What the fuck was it even called?
>nobody else did
Plain wrong.
>there will never be a sequel
Well, technically correct.
Scrapland. You'd think a game made by American fucking McGee would have gotten at least enough traction but no. Too bad, it was really good
Why would they buy SE? Literally the only profitable ventures they have right now are FFXIV and mobageshit and the Switch can't handle the former.
Sekiro. It's going to be an obscure weeb game in one or two years. I've talked to normalfags at work, and they're literally too scared to play it. This plus no multiplayer will make it be forgotten.
E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
I liked the ideas introduced in the second game but did not like how it was handled.
From definitely needs to revisit this game
Came here to post
>You'd think a game made by American fucking McGee
He didn't make it. He just slapped his name on it for promotion. That's why it's says "American McGee presents..." and not "American McGee's..."
It’s not THAT obscure because they keep rereleasing it, but a sequel to Gurumin would be just fucking dandy in my book
Lucky for you From is quite fond of churning out sequels, and I'm not just talking about Souls games, so there probably will be a sequel.
As an Vtmb fan I envy that feeling of yours, I wish I could still feel it.
I am not looking forward to that sequel.
bulk slash. there's no reaction image in the world to describe how sad and angry i feel
phantom crash
Ho. I see, thanks. Although it doesn't change that much: the game is still pretty fucking good and you'd think him slapping his name on the cover would have promoted the game enough. It was back in the days were he was still half relevant
Man fuck all the bosses in this game
Also there was no balancing in the specials. Tiki god had like the worst one.
Kinectaklops (or however you say him) was my main for life though
Ristar
Obscure got a sequel, It was ok.
ZENO CLASH 3 WHEEEEEN?!?!?
God I hate this hype based gaming community, being hyped for trash like KH3 and remakes.
Well you're not wrong.
Pokemon Channel
chase the express
Winback
Azure Dreams
>created as promotional material for a card game
>has a completely different jp version that I played anyway
>an insanely shitty mmoesque cash grab that died almost immediately
>pants on head retarded anime
It’s not fair bros, legit the best GBC game I ever played.
Lunar and Golden Sun. Lunar is understandable because it just has been too long but fuck Camelot for fucking up Dark Dawn so badly it killed the franchise.
I still really like Dark Dawn.
MGS: MPO. Loved playing the fuck out of that. When MPO+ came out I was ecstatic to have more selection of soldiers to choose from within the universe. God I miss that shit even though I sucked at online.
Rogue Galaxy
Penguin Wars, blew my mind anyone gave enough of a shit to make a new one after decades

Fixing this bullshit.
Poorly translated but was also very endearing when I first played
>viewtiful joe

>literally 2 sequels and an anime
fuck out of here moron
Urban Chaos
Lost in Blue got a couple of sequels. 2 was the best, 3 was a mixed bag, and Shipwrecked was so horrible it basically killed any hope of another game.
Which bites, because I genuinely like survival crafting games. The fact that they're easily the most exploited genre by lazy developers really boils my parsnips.
fur fighters
Dino Island
Any recommendations?
I tried The Flood in the Flame, enjoyed it for a bit but it got repetitive really quickly
Future Cop: LAPD
I spent so many hours of my childhood trying to beat that rolling stones song. Never managed it.
Also never found a cover that sounded as good as that version. Maybe it was because of the accompanying gameplay but that version of jumping Jack flash always got my so pumped.
Great game.
It almost did. Sword of Legendia, until it was silently cancelled.
This holy shit. the combat was pretty fucking good, only complaints is some of the animations taking forever to get through.
Thousand Years of Dreams never fails to make me feel.
That's good, a sequel in 2019 is a woke fest anyway.
or atleast a remake
Flame in the Flood hurt in a special way because it's still so buggy and the developers couldn't be assed to fix it, it was really the closest thing that came to scratching the itch LiB left.
I've heard Green Hell is good, but I haven't personally been able to try it yet. Feel the Snow is alright, but again, the developers just can't really be bothered to fix a lot of the problems the game has.
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head (that isn't already widely known) is an upcoming game called Dysmantle.
Gorky 17
Jurassic Park operation genesis, and it honestly shouldn't have gotten one now that the dust has settled...
on nu-Yea Forums I find Witcher 1 to fit into this category
Johnny Bazookatone

F-Zero GX ;(
You are probably not even in this thread but you should really revisit it. Seems worth it to revisit that particular memory in a bottle.
She is a sequel, but franchise is dead and there will be no 3rd game.

It already got an HD version on Steam with a bit more content, I think it's a miracle it got that much.
This. Geist is underrated as fuck
Jade Empire...
It even had an ending that makes you pumped for a sequel
Of all the Homeworld clones this one was the best. Extremely underrated, especially considering how accessible it is.
Also worth noting they were so confident in their graphical engine all the wallpapers are in-game 2002 graphics

Jurassic Park Operation Genesis (Jurassic world evolution)
That neo geo double dragon fighting game that was based off the shitty live action movie. I still like it.
Bioforge. Even had a massive cliffhanger, sequel was a no brainer.
Thanks EA
I know that feel. The game was wonderful, Played it days and nights. No one musou game KOEI made even close to it.
Steambot Chronicles 2
Except there was a sequel. They cancelled it when it was almost finished.
Shit, Sony. We need to make a full remake to it. One of the best gems of PS3
Rage.
Jak & daxter
> SOULLESS remake on the vita
Oh, come on. Though, the city building was not made very well. I want to make settlements around the island, but I only have a little piece of it. Still have nightmares about TV islands - so stupid part of game.
>Dragonball
I don't get people's complains because Super is literally just more of the same shit. Unnecessary sure but still just more of the same people were already used to. DB has not been good since Frieza.
Too repetitive, I've tired to shoot enemy dummies pretty fast.
I absolutely hated this game. Yet I still played it because it was the only game I had, I think it came with the ps2.
The Suffering
Transformice. But you're wrong. It is getting another.
This one
Madness is getting plenty of new sequels. MC11 even came out a few months ago after an almost decade hiatus.
GODDAMNIT YOU FUCKING JAP FUCKS LAY OFF THE GODDAMN DICK BOWLS CUMDORM BONER WOES GAMES YOU FUCKING SLANT EYED HILLBILLIES I HATE YOU ALL MAKE A NEW MECH GAME GODDAMN I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD I WILL DROP A THIRD BOMB /cruise
Chromehounds was some of the most fun I had in a game. Lost Planet 2 was also amazing, I loved it. Shame they never came to PC, they'd probably still be alive.
This one, prequel, sequel, remake - please anything.

Thing is we'll never get a proper sequel and that's a fucking shame.

I know it's the two dreamcast games put together but still
Fucking loved this game i still have my ps2 copy
>Obscure game I played gets sequel
>It sucks
Literally no one other than me gives a shit about this game
my memory is faint but
>pretty sure it was a ps2 game, could be ps1 or even n64 but most likely ps2, ps1 second most likely. the only thing that is certain is that it is pre-7th generation and I wasn't playing it on PC
>the most certain thing I remember was being able to pick up and use tonfa as a weapon, this I am certain of, and I'm pretty sure they had durability. I'm pretty sure they were really effective but had limited durability
>female protaganist, pretty sure you wore some black
>I'm pretty sure you crouched to sneak
>I remember beating guards at night in an area with cargo containers
>similar to eve of extinction. I haven't played that but watching gameplay it seems similar to it
pretty much every single one of these might not be true except for being able to use tonfa, that's the one thing I'm certain of, anything else might not be
I know a lot of people liked it but it never got a worthy sequel
BattleTanx
feels bad man
hot garbage
i should follow this up by saying, seriously, if it has tonfa in it you may as well mention it as long as it's pre-7th gen and not a PC exclusive
I remember playing a pirated copy of this when i was 9 or 10. Even more absurd it was in english and not my native language so i didn't understand shit but liked it anyway
>ended on a cliffhanger
>sequel literally NEVER EVER
WHY
there's no game more worthy of a sequel
It really was. Absolute fucking gem
Okage: Shadow King
Alongside all the PS2 passion projects that never got sequels.

Halo 2,3,4,5 reach and wars 1+2
Omega fucking Boost, there's absolutely nothing else like it and probably never will
It still didn't well and I'm pretty sure he means the highly teased Viewtiful Joe 3, that would have let you fight some Satan while in a solarsystem sized robot, Gurren Lagann style.
Still mad, fuck off ignorants
> The Saboteur
It was well sold and had an excellent sequel.
youtube.com
Anachronox
Square Enix still does and they added a bunch of references to it in KH3.
>Quake Wars: Territory Unknown
>MAG
>Enter the Gungeon
>Sanctuary RPG
>Neo Scavenger
>Kingsway
>Alan Wake
>Evolve
>This Book is a Dungeon
>Catherine (the remake is just Catherine+ not a sequel. Also tranny shit and censoring is going to ruin it)
Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga was pretty great, never got a sequel to it despite it really needing it. Ego Draconis especially was great, played through it so many times.
Kenshi
Too Human had so much potential, a sequel could have salvaged that trainwreck
is this a joke? they're making kenshi 2
This. Still my favorite JRPG style game. Even though it was made in the west.
Sad we will never get a sequel.
Tom Hall was supposed to release a script outline for part two if he wouldn't secure a sequel, but I doubt he ever will at this point.
gotcha force
I loved that game too.
But goddamn, that swamp level music.
>Escape Velocity, Spin Doctor and Abuse
My nigga.
That a good new I didn’t expect
Monster Hunter Stories.
Kameo
then you're in luck. im massively autistic and am building a tool to rip the textures to rebuild the game in a new engine whether hi-rez likes it or not since no mech hardsims have been made that satisfy my need for giant robot action. i just installed a new compiler so some time this week i'll have textures to spam. i need the textures to rebuild the terrain n shiet since sierra decided to be innovative and make a heightmap system all the way back in 1995.
recently discovered my model extractor works on earthsiege 1. i couldnt get anything yet from battledrome though.
But there was...
I sorta envy you. My first console was a Gamecube when I finally convinced my parents that if I earn the money, I can buy one and got the zelda limited edition with the n64 games on it. I loved them as a kid so finally getting to actually play them was incredible, then Star Fox Adventures came out, played it at a friend's place and at the time, the graphics blew my tits off.
While I could see Nintendo making another Star Fox game, I just with they'd look at Halo 1-3 and why they were so popular, and then make Star Fox, that. It could be so great, with online multiplayer and tight 3rd person gameplay, but I feel it's just been so mismanaged and they keep trying to remake Star Fox 64 but the general public doesn't want that, so the SF64-like game goes out, bombs commercially and Nintendo goes "What do the fans want from Star Fox?" Assault was the right direction and they should do that.
But more than a Star Fox Assault-but-better, I just want Golden Sun 4. I know it's not the most uncommon opinion, but for fuck's sake Camelot, stop with the Mario sports titles and make me a fucking Golden Sun 4.
This will always be my favorite time travel game series. The fucking 4th game was put on hold for Myst III then the studio died so it's dead forever
>tfw no new Myst games
>tfw miss old 80's Sierra click and point RPG's
>tfw the genre quite literally died to unironic graphix whoring.
Oh, fuck off. I'm still salty. It was no masterpiece, but it scratched an itch I didn't know I had
We need more games like this, it was so fun.
>Nox
Absolutely fucking BEYOND based and redpilled.
One of my fav games.
Soldat and handkerchief
Rime
It was an Ico clone, and the puzzles weren't really difficult, but it was a pretty game that was really chill and had some nice moments to it
Skies of Arcadia
The Wonderful 101.
People’s tastes were too unrefined for this masterpiece to appreciate.
also Jets'n'Guns
they're in
Mark of kai
fuckin these
Also a skull monkeys sequel tbqf
Gitaroo Man, and no the Vita port with the song about the robot dick doesn't count
these times were already over in late 2014 early 2015
Half-Minute Hero

Arx Fatalis
Split/Second
test
AWOOOO
>HEAVY METAL FAKK2
I wanted a sequel with a more Jedi Outcast type of gameplay. It just needed more polish.
Fuck you I liked it.
>sequel coming out this year
based mason
fucking this. Rygar was such a fun game. Still have my ps2 copy somewhere.
Thanks EA for ruining what we go too. A divine comedy trilogy would have been damn cool.
It's not particularly obscure or hated, but I'd love a Megaman X Command Mission 2.
I was so looking forward to coded arms on ps3
Terranigma
Shadow Hearts: From the new World
lmao, tell yourself that platdrone
I really wish we could've had more Sonic OSTs being raped by Bioware. It was one hell of an experience for a franchise that had its ups and downs quality-wise but otherwise always had a good OST before that one.

This game is pretty fucking good
Soma Bringer
A 3rd is very possible too
>got a (you)
they should make a spiritual sequel called Sir KicksALot Adventure
The aesthetics were absolute shit so I just couldn't ever care for it. Here's another (You) at least.
Gangway Monsters
Xenoblade X isn't obscure but since 2 sold way better due to being anime as fuck and on the popular soiboi console, a sequel is either unlikely or will be ruined to pander to the anime audience.
>xbox only jrpg
Gee i wonder why no one played it.
this looks cool as shit user
I'd kill for a sequel or prequel to Cold Winter.
The thing with planetside was that it was a good idea, but it didn't have the longevity to stand on it's own for long. Planetside 2 tried to fix it with larger maps and more stuff. The thing with planetside 2 though was it ignored the main problem, once the novelty of the large scale war wears off, for most people there's no real advantage it has over other FPS's. The combat itself isn't really that good and the teams and squads aren't close knit enough so that the large scale battles aren't just meatgrinders instead of tactical and strategic battles. .
Mario Strikers Charged. That game was kino as hell
That game was lit.
It's not even that obscure but this game was the absolute shit
Bomberman 2nd Attack
>the sfx
>the music
>the characters having some resemblance of personality
Klonoa.
its more of a cult classic, but no game would make me happier than elite beat agents 2
Man the gaming industry really does suck sometimes.
>FPS with excellent variety, freedom, new ideas, good story. Sells like shit.
>ANOTHER cartoon hero shooter AND ANOTHER battle royale game at once. 20 trillion players.
...
star control 2 did
star control 3 was so bad it killed the game and put the IP into legal hell
nigga you don't understand
Aquanox 2. Doesn't matter now, it's pretty much dead in the water.
Einhander
i thought it just got that remake on ps2
Never ever.
XIII :(
Strangely enough there was another Marvelous: Another Treasure Island sequel with Triforce Heroes and we're getting a No More Heroes 3 soon.
Sorry guys I can't relate. Maybe for something like Live a Live but the game was good enough that it doesn't need a sequel. It was everything it needed to be and more.
isn't that getting a remaster?
They might if it sells well.
My brother from another mother
Eternal Darkness
>Has a concept that could be updated and improved with every generation with regards to the sanity mechanic
>Can be set at literally any point in history be it past present or future.
>Infinite potential, critically loved
>No sequel ever
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
The sequel was trash though, developed by a completely different studio.
Neat. Update us next time we have a mech thread.
E.X Troopers
Beyond Good and Evil, unironically
>Its been over 5 years since it came out
I don't another game will ever make me feel the way this one did.
Hotel Dusk 3
Trap Gunner
A turn based Front Mission game
O.D.T
>They cancelled it when it was almost finished.
Actually they cancelled it because the studio was affected by that tsunami a few years ago, most likely destroying all the work
spbp
In the vast minority but I want a sequel to Evolve so fucking bad. I had so many comfy memories playing with my friends. If it weren't for microtransaction bullshit maybe it would've taken off
honestly, i'd assume the lack of an eternal darkness sequel has more to do with denis dyack being a nutjob than nintendo.
Brigandine
HarmoKnight was fucking fun but sadly anything that GameFreak makes that's not a full-blown Pokemon game is destined to die by the sidelines. Despite that HK had some bonus Pokemon stages.
Primal Prey.
>yuji naka's studio went out of business and now he's working for square
>we will NEVER get a sequel based on the god-tier wii version of this game
Chulip pls
Diablo 2
World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor
user, torchlight exist.
>There's never going to be a D4 episode 2
>Game ended on a fucking cliffhanger
>Why would you do this, swery?
This right here.
>Aquaria
gets me every fucking time.
Sky Gunner...
Love that game. Out of boredom I once wrote out a long set of plots for sequels that will never be following new revolutions and uprisings across the world as you head to Moscow for the final game in the series. As well as ways to improve the gameplay(if a team-mate gets knocked down you lose half a stars worth of charisma but you gain it back if you give them a med-pack).
It would have been London, Paris, Berlin and Moscow.
Imadoki no Vampire: Bloody Bride
Maybe not very obscure but Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim.
The sequel was an insult though. It's like they took out all the things that made the first one so fantastic, reached into their pants, scraped the crusted shit from their anus and called it a game.
I didn't know this game existed and now I want to play it.
Croc got one, and a few hyper obscure mobile titles afterward. I'd really like someone to pick the IP up and remake or do something new with it, that main theme and soundtrack is wasting away into time and it deserves better.
LOOM... home...
I know plenty have probably played it by now but Killer7
Ah, I've already posted in this thread. Good!
Alpha Protocol
Based
It's been over 10 years. I want a new game. Ouendan, eba idc they're my favorite games of all time
