i'm turning 30 in a month; can i post here?

also sekiro is goty

i almost always ended up playing as dazzler because everyone else was always playing everyone except her
i mean her special kinda sucked a little i guess? it wasn't nightcrawler's anyway
i always thought cyclops' special sucked more
dazzler needs more porn in any case
this is one of the only arcade games by konami i never ever got a good listen to the soundtrack of

god i miss the x-men

Seeing this in a toystore was the most amazing thing in the world as a lad

I mostly played Wolverine or Colossus, occasionally Nightcrawler. Overall a great little beat em up and it was nice to see the cab with the full selection of players.

What were some of your other favorite arcade beat-em-ups/co ops? I can remember...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (can't remember which ones)
Alien vs Predator
Dungeons and Dragons Towers of Doom + Shadows Over Mystaria
The Simpsons (another one with a 4 player cab!)
Double Dragon series
Final Fight, Knights of the Round and everything else in the Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle on Steam
Golden Axe (perhaps the granddaddy of them all?)

I remember when televisions were that small too.

>41yo

nightcrawler was awesome in that game, never got a full 6 players to play tho

36 next month. Dunno how much longer i can keep coming here though.

I'll be 32 in September, I loved this dumb game as a kid.

Attached: scorched-earth_1.png (648x409, 23K)

sure can brother.

why do you say that?

Attached: IMG_0961_large.jpg (300x480, 36K)

35 here, gonna kill myself soon

It's like 99% underage retards.
The Punisher arcade beat em up was a favorite of mine. It was in a corner store for a while by ny house.

you pretty much covered all the important ground. Now if you want to talk about best arcade shooter...

Attached: y2.jpg (630x1200, 133K)

Hang in there bro. I have a decent life myself. Just getting maybe too old to keep up with the boys here.

>almost 30
>first on Yea Forums when I was a teenager
It'll happen to you.
It doesn't get any better.
All the good threads get deleted and it pisses me off.

I'm a zoomer who had that at my local Chuck e cheese when I was 7. Owning it on console doesn't feel the same at all.

Yeah McDonalds even had them here.

Me too user, my life is shit and it doesn't seems it will get better.

X-Man, Tekken 7 and other classics
Gremlins, Mario 3, Tetris, etc.
Kong, Mortal Kombat, Pacman, Metroid
Metal Gear Red
Rak Dragon
Flamenco
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Street Fighter IV
F-Zero (in the classic game mode with a 3 player mode)
The Wonderful 101
The Dungeons... 11. Adventures of Dax
Wizards-A-Thon
Final Fours
The Lost Vikings
Grandpa Scrooge: The Lost Treasure of Kettleblack Mountain

A new trend is that its okay to be under 30 here if you found the place as a teen but god forbid you found it in your early 20s.

Is shellshock live good? It seemed similar to scorched earth.

found the underage v&

As a kid, about 5 or 6, I would always choose Dazzler in this game and Lisa in the Simpsons game. I don't why I would always choose girl characters, but I'm surprised I didn't turn out gay. Also my favorite color was pink.

Attached: b1c.jpg (1080x1145, 150K)

what arcade didn't have one of these?

Attached: 1443500895654.jpg (640x480, 292K)

METAL SLUG
SIMPSONS ARCADE
JURASSIC PARK PINBALL

NOW I'M ANGRY
OW. OW.

34 years old, 35 in a few years here.
I would discuss videogames that are dear to my heart, but it would be a waste. Threads like this one are just people clinging desperately to the past and repeating to themselves "old good new bad" non-stop while arrogantly and callously dismissing everything else. I avoid Yea Forums's pre-2000 anime general thread for the same reason.

That's all what I had to say.

>going to the arcade as a kid and hopping on this or the Simpsons game
>playing alone pumping in quarters until some random strangers come up and ask to join to help
>pretty soon it's a full cab and everyone is best friends, laughing and shouting and doing their best to try to beat the bosses
>you run out of money or mom starts calling so you have to leave, the friendship ends as quickly as it began but you'll remember it forever
Zoomers will never know this feel...

>wonders how to buy this model of doll

Anyone remember a top down beat-em-up that had early 3d graphics, maybe something along the lines of a dreamcast? It was set in modern times and I think there were guns/weapons to pick up. I remember the cab was a sit down one that had a really big screen. I wish I could be more specific.

sometimes having variety just makes life feel more lively than doing the same things over and over for 20 years and being mad that some generic samurai game made it impossible to do so on a big stage
i generally used homer but lisa and marge were also fun
bart was kind of the donatello with his animations at least if not his range and everyone would pick him because muh bart

This place was a warzone for kids

Attached: n2tq72evjjh11.jpg (960x960, 199K)

man you might as well be referring to ikari warriors nes/arcade

>Threads like this one are just people clinging desperately to the past and repeating to themselves "old good new bad" non-stop while arrogantly and callously dismissing everything else.

Really, please give me one example of someone doing that in this thread. So far it's people reminiscing about a bygone time and lamenting that the younger generation won't know how fun it was.

>ikari warriors
No not like that. I said it was 3d and it wasn't military themed either. You were either in street clothes or were police and the game took place in a city. I remember it being top down but because it was 3d the perspective might have shifted a bit during certain sections.

The only arcade 3d beatem up I remember is Die Hard arcade.

South NJ boomer fags?

Attached: hqdefault (3).jpg (480x360, 14K)

In theory these places were great. I. Reality they’re just cesspools of other kids piss.

Damn dude, that may actually be it. I don't remember enough of it to say it definitely was it, but it looks pretty similar to my memory. It's either this or something close to it. Thanks!

Change your mindset user. Try to live in the moment and don't worry about the past, or worrying about some legacy you're meant to leave behind. Become your own man.

32 here...everything feels stale since I took mushrooms and figured out the universe.

The only other game I remember being like die hard arcade was dynamite cop.

Wait this is way more familiar, especially that octopus boss. It's the sequel to the other game so no wonder it looked familiar. This was definitely it. Good job user. It's no wonder I didn't remember any Die Hard references. Weird how this one wasn't a movie tie in like the first game.

Things you don't think about as a child.

>never had enough people to fill it
>even at parties some kids didn't want to join
One thing I will weep at my death bed.

I found this place in my early 20s
I'm 32, kill me

>Old man that was born in 85.
>Sold almost none of my games/consoles because I was crazy.
>Still got my original complete copy of this.

So happy this is coming to the genesis mini but a handheld version on switch would be nice. Used to play this all the time on my Nomad. Fingers crossed for that Contra collection.

Attached: contra_lg.jpg (770x1080, 251K)

Until you’re crawling in the tubes and some sperg kid with a runny nose that he keeps picking crawls into the tube you’re in and pisses all over the place leaving you trapped with no way out with out touching snot or piss.

God why does that day still haunt me? I never asked for this.

Really hope 1up arcade gets on that 4/ to 6 player cabs

Building a massive 1up arcade in your home is literally the boomer trend right now.

I remember going there for my birthday and stepping on vomit in the tubes. That completely ruined my day.

Hahaha yeah right, don't forget you're here forever.

Attached: 1527900090675.jpg (954x753, 49K)

Jesus. I never had experiences this bad although I remember my wrist getting sore from crawling around in the tubes while wearing those wristbands they forced you to wear.

More like the most bullshit hard arcade shooter because god damn was this hard. Just protecting John Conner at the start on the car was a nightmare.

This was my first experience with video games.

Attached: tetris-432.jpg (600x800, 100K)

I had this one.

Attached: sku_195171_1.jpg (700x700, 64K)

Double Screen X-Men is the BEST arcade game ever, when you get all 6 players and the sound is blaring, there's nothing like it.

GODDAMN i do not remember these things looking this ancient. holy shit does time fly.

Attached: virtuacop.jpg (368x600, 37K)

For me it was how sore my knees got from the older boys making me suck there dicks in the no-go spots of the tubes.

> Don't say it!

>that one kid who told you that there was a secret hidden mode where you played as the aliens
>he was right

I remember my local Kmart had a Little Cesars that had this game in the corner

Attached: little-caesars-1.jpg (300x200, 51K)

31 here. Based Simpsons arcade game being everywhere that has arcade cabinets.

Wait a second....that's not a real arcade cabinet!

Fuck off nobody cares how old you are. You're just doing this for shitty reddit memes.

it's time to go back

My fellow Oriental Trading Ltd Niggas

zoomers will never understand the golden age of gaming.

now it's all DLC and gacha shit.

>knowing what reddit posts because you visit it.
You have to go back.

tfw we will never go back to games being sold physical only

Except most of gacha's player are salarymen.

>gamers today will never know the feel of buying a game in a box

that is the only way they should be bought

older pc games had so much more soul

now it's all "generic shooter X + DLC, part 3"

Thanks Valve!

>buy a new game as kid
>comb over the manual on the drive home
>get home and throw everything in the trash and store carts loose in a box

Coziest image ever

bucky o hare. never see anyone here mention it but this was my all time favorite at the arcades. blinky was my dude

Attached: 46453.jpg (480x360, 63K)

This used to be my favorite place in the world when I was 5. Also it's fucking weird how this image looks exactly how I remember it.

i had no idea it had an arcade game. had it on nes and it was one of the hardest games i owned. probably still is.

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 46K)

ironically the arcade version is a lot easier

I never played it because it was always broken.

37, you never really leave this place

How did your lemonade stand fair user?

Attached: 189746-lemonade-stand-apple-ii-screenshot-the-weather-isn-t-always.png (560x384, 4K)

This thing never stood a chance against my jerking arm.

The arcade game was great. I'd be down for an Arcade1UP cabinet having this, both TMNT arcade games, X-Men, and Simpsons, but would be unlikely due to licensing issues.

It was my dream for the longest time to own one of those cabinets.

At least we were lucky enough to see arcades at their peak, and non cancerous DLC-free gaming.

Surely, ball pits are a thing of the past by now. Aside from being a hard-to-clean petri dish of snot, piss, and fecal matter, I'm sure the urban myths of syringes and snakes in ball pits scared enough parents.

If you didn't turn your hat backwards before playing this you were a fag

Attached: s-l640.jpg (437x640, 45K)

I'm currently on holiday at a UK seaside resort. And every now and then you find something that makes your boomercore light up.

There it was, in the corner of one of the arcades...

Daaaaaaaaytoooooooooonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Daaaaaaaaytoooooooooonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

They're mostly gone, but some still remain.
My favorite laser tag place turned into one of these, and it's absolute hell.

I did that with the sniper game.

Holy fuck, user. Good taste.

north NJ. at that time was too young to head down their just for an arcade, but definely chilled up here

We use to have a bowling alley with around 8 or so all lined up. People would spend all night racing each other while drinking. A pro nascar driving would even come play and hang out every so often.

just an arcade...nigger they had a rollercoaster, lazer tag, tilt a whirl, bumper cars, tubes, all indoors

that would be a supreme setup. id buy that too.

I still hate myself for that. I forget when I did it for my NES games but I explicitly remember doing it to my SNES/Genesis games when I was maybe 10 or 11 because I wanted to file them in a cabinet drawer and they wouldn't fit otherwise. Then I think I trashed my TMNT/GIJoes/etc figurines when I was going through my angsty I'M AN ADULT teenage phase. Of course all that shit is a gold mine now. Of course.

All the co-op Beat 'em ups mentioned were a treat but this fucker right here was set up in a Korean owned mom and pop donut shop and god knows the amount of time I spent on it accompanied by all the second hand smoke since it was before that shit was outlawed just about everywhere.
