no... fapped again instead :/
Yeah, finally completing my switch games, finished my 3ds games and will jump into my vita games after
I've told myself that I would restart Hollow Knight and finish it this time.
It's been over a year now.
I couldn’t get past hollow knight with its abstract map and shitty backtracking design
I got bored again. I think I may be losing interest in games.
Haven't play a game in 2 months and I'm still adding new ones
Made to the final world of Crafted World, and the difficulty jumped to a really enjoyable level, and after this it's Yokai Watch 3, and after that it's Styx 2 with a friend.
lol no it's worse
I finished my entire backlog & have played every acclaimed game, AMA
Finally beat Diablo 3. One game down, hundreds to go.
Yeah been making pretty decent progress. Got my steam library all organized and have been using my overall achievement percentage as a measure of my backlog. Have managed to get it up 32-33% to 40%.
No, I just keep playing Warframe. My kicks don't usually last this long, but I can't stop grinding. Eventually I'll run out of stuff, but my backlog expands more every month. Save me.
I've been working away at it slowly. Mostly just trying to play stuff i haven't heard much of.
Recently finished YW3 myself, it was good times.
I just finished a game I started in 2016 Undertale I can't believe I waited so long. It was so good.
Gonna play Shantae: Risky's Revenge since I got it from a bundle like 3 years ago and never launched it
If you never got to City of Tears you should at least play up until then before giving up again
Does it count as backlog if it's a shit game I never finished because it's bad? Or do I have to plan on going back to it to count.
How do people have a backlog? Here I am struggling to find anything I want to play and there's people here complaining about having too many games to get through.
I fucking wish I had a backlog.
the latter. if you gave up on it then it's not in the backlog
Do you have steam? I mean I get it I would play and replay long ass RPGs as a kid because tfw no money, but now you have some kind of disposable income, because you're over 18
I recently beat REmake 2. It was great. I'm torn on what to play next.
>Deadly Premonition
>Metal Gear Rising
>STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl
>Vampire The Masquerade
>Final Fantasy VII
>Final Fantasy IX
>Ocarina of Time 3ds
>Majora's Mask 3ds
>Valkyria Chronicles
>Zone of The Enders HD
>Witcher 3
>Dying Light
>Legend of Dragoon
>System Shock 2
>Morrowind
>Anachronox
>I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
>Thief
>A bunch of stuff on the SNES Classic
There's still more, too.
I keep going back to smash bros ultimate.
I need to fucking stop.
I pirated a lot of shit due to not having a lot of free time. That's how it started really.
First it was emulation, then pc classics, now 3ds games I pirated.
Backlogs aren't meant to be finished. I have several lifetimes worth of games, anime, movies, manga and books piled up. What's nice is always having something you're in the mood for, and knowing you'll never be bored at any point in your life.
Finished Hollow knight mainly, but kinda got stalled in a second playthough of oblivion
I have Morrowind and the Witcher I got for free deals that I need to play, also Assassins creed Unity but I can't run that, but Shovel Knight is also on sale for 12.50.
Anyone here played Shovel Knight? How good/long is it?
I finally played Requiem Avenging Angel. It fucking sucked so I stopped playing. I'm going to give Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines a shot now.
SK is a very solid platformer. I finished it and the bonus content in about a week of playing. Don't remember how many hours that came out to.
It's not about money, it's that I rarely find a game I really want to play. Maybe 2-3 a year. I have no idea how people get so swamped in stuff they want to play that they have to keep a backlog just to make sure they play all of them eventually.
don't have one i just play what i feel
play the snes classic
All caught up. Any recommendations?
i finally started Final Fantasy 7 and i'm about to finish Midgar.
Game's pretty good so far. I'm not nearly as bothered by the ancient graphics as people were saying i'd be.
Working on Octopath now.
Just have 6 more and the last boss to go not sure what I should move on to though.
Put Deadly Premonition on the lowest difficulty and blow through the gameplay, since it sucks. Everything else is fantastic.
>all these games to play
>play killing floor instead
I started Arkham Origins today. I bought it 4 years ago...
But I made a Backlog category on Steam so I at least got some progress :)
The character models are blocky, but hand drawn backgrounds age like wine.
Oh definitely, the backgrounds are beautiful even today.
>had Tales of the Abyss in my backlog for a year already, since I've been playing just a little bit every time I pick it up
>already sick of the mediocre gameplay and the constant "returning to the town I was in 10 minutes ago"
>wait, some conclusion is drawing near
>nope, too many things are still unanswered, so here's the second half of the game
And I just started Bravely Default, but It's getting me hooked, tho.
Why doesn't Squidward just rape Spongebob?
I doubt it'd be rape.
I've been collecting just PS3 and PS4 games for a few months and I have just about all of the really good games I'm interested in. I have just a few left to go and they're mostly RPGs.They're such a time investment that I might just admit to myself that I don't like RPGs and remove them from my collection.
>Has a shitloads of bought games i have not played
>Plays old games on emulators
Why i keep doing this!?
>tfw buying ps3 games that probably aren't even any good but they're really cheap
Is Borderlands Pre-Sequel worth the $4 I paid for it?
Finally finished Deus Ex for the first time despite having 50ish hours in it. The last half is kinda shitty compared to the first half. Finally get to play Invisible war
I really find that as I've gotten older (or maybe it's the psych meds I'm taking) I enjoy more epic story-driven games; my favorites being MGS3, RE7 and RDR2. Most games are just repetitive because I play so many games. The narrative has to be there for me to want to repexperience it.
RPGs are alright but I can't imagine ever wanting to replay them, except possibly The Witcher 3. More games need moments like the MGS3 ladder section or this perfectly-executed Hero's Journey resolve in this song
youtube.com
The best games to me have the best musical moments that cause you to feel emotions. I'm off on a tangent but I suppose I'm just talking out loud about why most RPGs don't do it for me.
i started kotor 2 in 2016 and still haven't finished it despite it being one of the best games i've ever played. i just don't have the time to sit down for hours and get immersed like i'd want. in 15 days though i'll be done with university exams for the summer and i can sit down and relax and play it.
same for god of war
and red dead redemption 2
Almost done with P5 then after cuphead and i’m all done. will be going back to my hacked vita until Animal crossing comes out
I got addicted to old school Runescape. Damn it help me.
No matter what Yea Forumstards say, RDR2 is one motherfucker of a game. It must be played by everyone. It's a perfect example of the Hero's Journey. You get these musical moments for a brief respite and you're just left thinking, "what the hell am I playing," when it kicks in. This game is something else. It's... the greatest game ever made.
But do yourself a favor and don't watch the video I posted.
Agreed, get to and through City of Tears and if it's not for you it's not for you, but it's a wonderful section of the game that will probably be your make or break point.

>tfw keep playing OoT randomizers
What are some games with a scavenger hunt mindset behind it?
Need to choose between Hollow Knight and Explorers of Sky right now, I've only gone like a half hour into both
also need to do the Hat in Time DLCs, tried starting the first one but getting that first time piece fucking drags
Play Ultimate Doom. It's not that long.
Explorers of Sky is one of my favorite games ever. Hurry up and play it.
I'm on the second episode. How much longer estimate do I have left?
There is so much other fun stuff to do bro, get out there enjoy life
Fuck, forget about the RPGs and the 2d indie turds bud. kek
Go with MGS
Now that you mention it, is crafted world good? Yoshi story was the first n64 game i ever owned and am pretty nostalgic for it. Now i want to buy and play this with my daughter but don't know if I'm happy about spending 90 leaf bucks on a fucking yoshi game.
Played the demo and it was kinda fun, but I'm not sold.
Isn't there 2 player, and how does that work?
If it's your first time, it might only take 3 or so hours for episode 3, mostly via getting lost. It's not that bad though, but The Flesh Consumed is a lot harder.
Could Thy Flesh Consumed be counted as a bonus since it wasn't with the original Doom?
I think I just killed Sniper Wolf in MGS1. How close am I to being done?
It could be a bonus, it's better to look at it like an expansion I guess. But hey, you might as well try it.
As for Sniper Wolf, I dont think you have much longer.
What genres do you enjoy?
its growing bigger each day, not as much, because modern games are usually shit agenda pushing garbage, but still is slowy growing.
Half way or more. The whole game is only like six hours. You should enjoy it for the plot and twist. It really is amongst the best on your list.
How about you do this: go out and buy RDR2 and get immersed in the plot. If you've started that many games and not finished one, you're likely looking for something unique that will stick with you and revive your love of games. You likely don't know WHY you like games. This is why my PS3 and PS4 collection consists of the absolute greats (9+ score average or games that got at least one perfect score from a major reviewer like Deadly Premonition or RE7) because most games are boring. I would rather replay a good game than play a new shitty one.
>Metal Gear Rising
>Thief
this two are awfully short, I usually start with the quicker ones.
>Half way or more.
My friend who likes MGS who happened to be awake said I only had like 10 or 15% of the game left. I've definitely played games and finished them. Those are just my backlog. Like, Spider-Man, Mario Odyssey, BotW, Sonic Mania, and others. But for some reason, these stay in my backlog and I have no idea why.
I was playing FE Fates Conquest and I dunno, Corrin is just so fucking retarded. How the fuck does someone like this live?
>Starting that many games without clearing them
Disgusting.
You might find them dated. I just bought GTA4 again after having sold my old 360 copy long ago, and after playing GTA5 again just a few days ago, I don't find GTA4 all that fun. The cars all drive like boats - not fun and I'm struggling to want to play more of it. I don't know. I have one really good game I have yet to start and that's Shadow of the Colossus. Honestly I'm expecting it to be so good that I don't want to blow my load yet.
Look man, you get depressed half way through this shit and you end up never finishing games.
Yes actually, although i'm trying to balance out my anime backlog too.
>want to completionist the mass effect trilogy now that I own all of the DLC.
>takes 180 hours minimum
I don’t even enjoy games enough to play that much
i've started on underrail.
Let's not start on anime too. I liked Death Note and thre first 20 episodes of Bleach, yet like RPGs, they're too much of a time investment. I don't have the attention-span for them so I typically avoid them.
Play a hat in time user
Bullshit, my trilogy playthrough across all of them was more like 60 hours
I take solace in most anime in recent years not being my cup of tea at all. Thunderbolt Fantasy was probably the most that I've enjoyed a new series in ages and that was a damn puppet show.
I've been trying but SS13 is too addictive and there's more games coming out soon.
How do I beat Hell's Kitchen in the second visit?
Like,I start Skyrim every month or so 'lanning to make a thief Wood Elf and quit when I get to Rverwood. The only RPG I played through to the end recently was Witcher 3. When something like, " The Witcher 3 is considered to be one of the greatest games of all time," is written on the wiki, I can usually finish it since I know I'm playing quality. Most RPGs are just too bland and too long I've found.
Referring to Deus Ex specifically.
Dowd is hiding in one of the destroyed buildings near the road. IIRC it was at the intersection of the road from the Hospital
Just unlocked Jeanne on Bayonetta.
Already beat hard, moving on to Non Stop Climax.
I'm so tempted to start over as Jeanne but I'll save that for a possible replay in the future I suppose.
