How good is this game? I like berserk and I heard this game is influenced by it? What is the game like?

Is there a single Japanese video game that WASN'T influenced by Berserk?

Puyo Puyo

i want to fuck the shegoat

i started playing today and i'm already 8 hours in. any tips for a new player? i rolled ranger

goblins ill like fire

very fun story. some fights feel like monster hunter with better mobility. thats probably my favorite part

lots of endgame content too if youre a completionist

So what's the best way to farm DCP besides idling in Gran Soren post game?

Depends on your level. If you're still pretty low you can try the wight (might be misremembering the name of the monster- floaty undead guy) that spawns at night at the very north end of the Barta Crags area (just west from the Greatwall). He summons undead warriors over and over, so if you focus on them you can catch a bunch of waves. Just make sure your pawn doesn't kill him.

Don't be afraid to switch around classes. Just to try them for fun but also to snag the best augments, as you can use any augments you've unlocked on any vocation. If you're a turbo anal completionist like I am you might want to look up a quest guide, as progressing the main quest will lock you out of certain side quests. If you care about who you're going to end up with at the end of the game (your beloved) you might want to look up some info about that too, it's very easy to get stuck with someone you might not have wanted. Other than that have fun and remember wolves hunt in packs, Arisen.

It's amazing if you play as the bow class. DO NOT go for warrior

Really good, though if you're an idiot like me you could easily end up skipping large chunks of the story because you went around and explored too much and triggered a quest.

One of these days I'll do a play through that doesn't end up with me going Magick Archer.

What is so bad about playing as a warrior?

Katamari?

Perhaps someone can answer this for me, since no one bothered from the previous thread
I have the PS3 version of Dark Arisen, should I bother with the PS4 version? I initially heard it was supposed to fix the framerate, but I've heard other reports saying it doesn't fix anything

If you like Berserk, you’ll be disappointed to know that the Guts class (warrior) is pretty much completely useless.

They're immediately gimped compared to the other classes by virtue of only having 3 skill slots and no secondary weapon. Other than that, I think they're fine. I usually end up sinking 5-10 levels in warrior mid-game to get the strength augments, if I'm playing any kind of strength based character. I'm not a fan of the charged arc skills, although they can be devastating if timed right. Also warriors are no good at climbing and attacking big monsters, which is a big draw of the game for me.

This. Holy fuck golems and metal golems make every class that doesn't have a bow a pain in the ass

I got this cheap for the ps4 after playing it for a while but never finishing on the ps3. Is it better where graphics are concerned? Did I get bamboozled and do I need to subscribe to psn for the online pawn system?

Straight bullshit. It's not the best for everything, but you can smack the shit out of anything until the most absolute endgame. Hell, I did the first loop of Bitterblack as a Warrior. I didn't even use the mod that gives you all six skill slots, which no doubt makes it a lot more fun. Nothing is better than charging up a slash and cleaving health bars in two.

It doesn't shovel content in your face, you've got to look for it and sometimes it's miss-able , e.g. progress based.

This and this basically.
Wielding a big sword feels kinda cool with the move where you throw stuff in the air but you are wayyyy weaker than you should be at all times. Most of the abilities are worthless too.

Demon Souls

Tetris

Also if you do go warrior, try to always have BOTH of the other types of classes with you because there are some enemies you genuinely can't kill as a warrior

A lot of enemies just don't play nicely with red vocations in general, and Warrior is by far the most limited of the lot, with no real access to ranged attacks, slooooow attacks, not much in the way of climbing attacks, and only 3 skill slots. Also the animations are so slow and weighty that you just kinda look like an oaf getting thrown about by a sword three sizes too big for you most of the time.

Pure red vocations are still quite fun, but they're the most obviously limited by design.
