Judy was inside Laura's mom and when Laura is removed from reality she freaks out and tries to destroy a picture of Laura but all and she do is break the frame while the picture cannot be harmed. Laura got thrown into a pocket dimension to trap Judy. Right before Laura screams you hear her mother call out her name and Laura's scream basically is a release of all her energy to destroy Judy as the first thing to go was the the lights since Judy travels via electrical currents. Cooper and Laura are sacrifices to destroy evil.
