itt: Biggest childhood gaming disappointment.
I remember buying this and being so excited, only to be completely fucking crushed that its honestly a fucking shitty tech demo

Yoshi Touch & Go is fun, it's like a mobile game before mobile games
Chose between this game and Metroid prime for Christmas...I was 9

Balding Boomer Checks in
More like early teenage for this one but being hyped as shit for Shadow the Hedgehog's release and then actually playing it is what taught me not to get excited for upcoming games anymore.
it's been like 15 years dude
But unlike mobile games, Yoshi Touch & Go costed way more money.
>childhood
blast corps. everyone LOVES it but i don't see the appeal and found it repetitive+stressful
>worst disappoint
halo wars when i was a teenager. bought the super special fuck you edition and hated the game so much
i'm 26.
also the wii was a huge dissapointment as well, i remember going with friends to get it at launch day and after spending like 20 minutes of playing wii sports and redsteel i thought "fuck this sucks, guess i'm not into gaming anymore".
it was just a gamecube with motion controls and bad casual games. the wii being bad is why i started fucking lots of girls and being a normalfag instead of an autistic neckbeard in hs so i guess thats cool
i expected a real yoshi game. like yoshis island or yoshi 64 or something.
this was just.... a 30 dollar free flash game
This.
Same bro what a waste of money. Can't even remember whats so special about it besides the steel case. I remember being so hyped with the first gameplay demo but they downgraded it so much. At least the cutscenes were good.
>steel case
>Some stupid comic
>some decals and skins for in-game
>stickers? a badge?
>some in-game cosmetic for Reach i think
nothing that made it worth it. certainly not the game itself
I was 12,i rent the game for the whole weekend, when i finish the game it was the biggest let down in gaming
>some in-game cosmetic for Reach i think
I'm pretty sure Reach wasn't out yet. What I think it did have was the Halo 3 Mythic map pack early.
Well, I was a big boy and had internet access, so I knew this was just an arcade game going in.
Enjoyed it a lot.
I sold Henry Hatsworth for this
Breath of the Wild :(
fuck touch controls, fuck the repetitive mission structure, fuck the character designs, and fuck the retarded endings. why can't they make a star fox game as good as 64?
FUCK this game was some bullshit.
Don't laugh at me.
i thought this wasnt that bad
it's just painfully mediocre. like a lot of DS entries
Thats funny cause when I got the Wii I had a shit ton of fun and loved it. But I had Super Paper Mario and some other quality games. If I had just wii sports and red steel I'd have been a bored kid.
Thankfully I only rented it. It was the only game I ever returned early.

I felt gypped too, but the music was peak comfy DS soundfont.
personally enjoyed these games
I was in highschool when pic related came out so not really childhood per se but man was it a let down
As much as I like Shadow, I don't see why anyone would get hyped for it. It's just 3D Sonic #4.
I was in the prime of my edgy phase and here comes the next new Sonic game where alien invaders from out of nowhere turned the city into a nightmare hellscape and Shadow's going to fight against them using guns, motorcycles, and angry explosions. The supposed choice to be evil instead of good sounded fun as well.
It's a little embarrassing to look back on, but I can still see why this game looked so exciting for me at the time.
When I was 10 and it came out, I was a sucker for games with alternate endings. Today I still am, and play games like inFAMOUS.
Maybe someday as a hobby I'll make a game with mutliple endings.
