Holy shit this game is tough, it's like every level is Death of a Showman, a guard on every target, nearly impossible objectives, not only that poorfags cant even attempt to get a full exprience. Just really defeated by the whole thing.
Holy shit this game is tough, it's like every level is Death of a Showman, a guard on every target...
I genuinely find only 2 maps on Hitman2 to be interesting. Sapienza and Miama. They have the most replayability to me. I hate the island of sigal sigil gigil whatever it is and whittleton creek is literally just boring.
What the hell are you talking about dude? Hitman can be difficult if you want a Silent Assassin rating, but beyond that its pretty fucking easy.
You either just shoot them with a silenced pistol and walk away, follow objectives, or just be patient as all hell and wait for them to be alone.
Yeah, my favorites were Sapienza and Miami too. I liked the tutorial level in 2, but it was too bare bones for me. Looking forward to the bank level in like 6 months or so.
The Bank drops this summer
I hope to god we can disguise ourselves as bank robbers.
What? nu-Hitman is made easier than past titles thanks to Oppurtunity/Story Challenges, the HUD elements, and Instinct mechanic (especially with the instinct mechanic).
Also, every single target in the game minus a few is programmed to ingest food or drink at some point in the map and poison/accident kills won't count against you if the body is found. That and every map usually has a master level disguise that gives you access to almost everywhere on the map with little to no suspicion.
Anyways, if you guys want a redone hitman roulette app, I'm gonna shill mine every chance I get web-devlet.itch.io
Is this all DLC? It looks cancerous as fuck.
Buy the expansion pass and you get access to the content marked "gold" and "silver" edition. The rest is free.
WTF is going on with Hitman nowadays?
What happened to just releasing a full game like every other company?
I played and loved all Hitman games. My favorite is Contracts. While the new games are okay, the whole business model around them makes it so incredibly tedious and not enjoyable.
I played the new Hitman 1 and 2 (or does it count as one single game???) and the replayability is totally gone. What happened to all the weapons? Picking your gear before from a huge arsenal each mission? Instead you're always butt naked and have to be thankful to get a handful of coins literally. In the old games you didn't have so many set pieces and the kills were rather simplified, but you could create them yourself like a real pro (or like an axe murderer maniac if you chose to). Now you're just a poor bum without any equipment, walking around and triggering events.
I'm not even an edgy contrarian. I want to like these games and I do, but I didn't even think about playing any map twice but just get the SA rating, check it off and deinstall.
They DID back in November. The stuff in the earlier pic is just DLC for people who want more. Anything added further is just IO keeping the game alive and interesting in case you somehow managed to complete the few thousand challenges on every map.
I don't even understand half this shit. Looks like some Fortnite ad. Why not just make a normal game?
What do you mean you don't understand half of it? The layout is super simplistic.
>Buy Hitman
>Have game
>Pic signifies future content like specific contracts or challenges and the date they'll be released on
I know it's different if you didn't touch Hitman after Blood Money or Absolution, but it's easy to digest.
Only played Hitman 2016.
If you actually "master" the maps and do some of the challenges, you'll unlock more and more gear and shit to fuck around with in levels. It's more fun to improvise with shit in the level anyway, and I'll use the giantbomb hitsmas videos as an example of that.
They did, the base game includes like 5 or 6 huge maps and some sniper maps/challenges; and the season pass adds two sniper maps, two traditional huge maps, and some additional challenges/unlocks.
>boot up Morocco
>walk 5 feet down the street
>UHHHH HEY MAN MY DAD IS HANGING OUT ON THE ROOF ALL BY HIMSELF WITH THE SCHOOL SKELETON KEY
>YEAH HE CAN JUST FUKKEN SNEAK INTO THE SCHOOL WHENEVER HE WANTS BTW AM I SPEAKING LOUD ENOUGH
>turn down another road
>sneak 5 feet past guards into a shoe store
>UHHHH HEY MAN I ACCIDENTALLY HELD ONTO THIS SKELETON KEY FOR THE FUKKEN CONSULATE
>BETTER CARRY IT THROUGH THE SEEEEEECRET ESCAPE TUNNEL RIGHT INTO IT BTW AM I SPEAKING LOUD ENOUGH
Oh yea, real fukken challenging
This thread is dying. POST BEAN
k
This is all just mindless gimmicks and cosmetics that could have been in the game right from the start + sad attempts to keep zoomers happy with 'contracts' and 'challenges', which is on the same level as 'trophys' and 'achievements'. I think this is a core problem in today's games industry. Keep that crap and rather invest your time into making a game like everyone else instead of 'The monthly Adventures of Agent 47'.
>If you actually "master" the maps and do some of the challenges, you'll unlock more and more gear and shit to fuck around with in levels
Ah, I see. Probably why I never got anything since I just SA'd a map, then went on to the next, then uninstalled after every map was done. This whole unlocking thing is toxic IMHO. Absolution had similar politics I remember. Just let players steal and collect stuff from the levels like in the old games. I remember there was a Hitman game where you stood before a huge wall of weapons and gadgets you could pick before each mission. It was all stuff you collected in previous missions.
Whatever man. I'll just wait for the next release in hopes they'll stop this episodic crap.
>mfw I failed him the second time around because I got in a fight and forgot my keybinds
already got the winter suit so I don't really care but fuck I felt stupid
It stopped being episodic years and years ago.
They stopped the episodic model already retard.
should I buy Hitman 2016 and then Hitman 2 for PS4 my PC is shit. I missed all the contracts n shit is it still worth? or should I buy the gold edition and play all of Hitman 2016 in Hitman 2 engine?
2 wasn't episodic. Also, you've got to respect the fact that the devs have made constant updates to this single player game six months after release even if they are somewhat mindless. To each his own
Depends on how you look at it. I think what was sold last as 'Hitman 2' consisted of all the maps that were released as singles before + 6 or so new ones. To me personally that still feels very episodic. They basically released a normal game over the course of 2 years or so.
Download the HITMAN 2016 intro/demo for PS4 then buy the GOTY upgrade for $7 off the PSN store. Afterwards, download HITMAN 2 Intro and download the HITMAN GOTY Legack Pack for HITMAN 2 (you'll get it for free for owning it through HITMAN 2016).
Once you do that, you can play the entirety of HITMAN 2016 in the HITMAN 2 engine on PS4 for $7. If you like what you play, then get HITMAN 2 gold edition in a future sale since it's $100 base price and has already been 50 - 60% off in sales since release.
I'll be honest man, if I never touched Hitman 2016 and got everything all at once with Hitman 2, that's be a spectacular deal for a single player video game. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but these games are quality.
>To each his own
Yeah I guess. I would have just preferred if they made a normal full game with some kind of overarching story like in Contracts or Blood Money. I loved the backflash theme in Contracts which tied the missions together. Now it's just: "Hello young anonymous player! Please go to point A and trigger event B to kill target C, and don't forget those thrilling challenges we prepared for you!"
Texture mods underway, easier tools and suit uploads soon-ish.
>I would have just preferred if they made a normal full game with some kind of overarching story
They did. TM is all about the conflict between 47 + his long lost brother (Lucas Grey/subject 6) who runs the Militia and Providence, which is basically the Illuminati. The games have you killing targets which are related to the militia (Sean Rose, The Maelstrom) and Providence (Yuki Yamazaki, The Washington twins). The story is kinda easy to ignore, though. You can also disable most of the UI, if you wish.
You gay asshole the story in 2016 is about the shadow client Lucas Grey and him trying to thwart the Illuminati and Hitman 2 is where Diana finds out 47 killed her mum and dad dont fucking not play games and run your mouth fuckhead
I caved and bought Gold edition back like 2 days before release just to play it early. At least soon I'll be getting my money's worth with the free DLC.
>orange tie
I'd rather 47 have hair mods
Actual hair requires adding meshes to the model itself, for now you just get texture edit stubble.
>dont fucking not play games and run your mouth
I played it you sperg. I honestly didn't catch the connection in story and the targets all seemed randomly picked to me. I only saw some glimmer of a story in the last mission on that abandoned castle where you drive off with that weirdo on the boat.
>He killed the body double
>the targets all seemed randomly picked to me
You did listen to the briefings, right user? How many hours do you have in the game?
I still have no idea how you'd incorporate accident kills in a bank beyond generic chandelier drops and falls.
>You did listen to the briefings, right user?
Yes of course
>How many hours do you have in the game?
Don't know. Played it a while ago and uninstalled it. I really don't see what people like about this game that justifies playing a map more than once after you got SA. I enjoyed the initial playthrough, but I'd never replay it.
>If you want to kill me, despise me, hate me, and live in an unsightly way... Run, and cling to life, and then some day, when you have the same eyes as I do, come before me, 47.
If it's a bank heist or something, you could influence the people robbing the place to turn on one another. There's a ton of opportunities I'm sure.
>Yes of course
Then you should have an idea of what's going on. The story isn't hard to follow at all.
>I really don't see what people like about this game that justifies playing a map more than once after you got SA
Did you SASO any levels? Sniper Assassin? No Evidence? The challenges and unlocks are meant to add to the replayability of the game. If you just ignore the unlocks and the challenges and only play through the game once then it's going to feel empty and incomplete. You're never meant to play any game once, but multiple times. TM is, in some respect, no different from the other games when you look at it.
You're just a retarded boomer
>If you just ignore the unlocks and the challenges and only play through the game once then it's going to feel empty and incomplete. You're never meant to play any game once, but multiple times.
This is where our opinions differ. I don't want to play a game multiple times for some imaginary challenge or to unlock something that could have been in the game to begin with.
Example: In previous Hitman games you played a mission and found a gun you like along the way. You keep it in your pocket and leave the level with it. It is now part of your arsenal. You can equip it in your load out for a new mission. It feels like you brought something with you that wasn't allowed there. Something exotic, like a trophy that can be used to have fun and to fuck around.
In the new Hitman you can't keep shit. Instead you start off naked, have to follow a certain path and do it exactly as described in some challenge to unlock something, like a reward for being a good tool to the script. Can you at least use the unlocked items in any map or is it restricted to the one map you unlocked it in? If so, that would be an even bigger blunder.
You can use your unlocks in any map. Just because you don't keep what you stole like in the older games doesn't mean you always start off naked. You just need to acquire enough mastery or do certain challenges in order to unlock items, like a tranquilizer gun or a knockoff AK-47. It's similar to the older games, but obviously much less direct. Not to mention that there are plenty of weapons and items in the game to start with, most of them to be acquired through location mastery and challenges. The roadmaps posted earlier are meant to display the free content being added to the game.
Anything you unlock you can use in any map as long as there aren't any contract/pre-defined limitations put on you for the mission. It's partly why they ported HITMAN 2016 to HITMAN 2, so your unlocks in HITMAN 2016 can be used in the HITMAN 2 maps.
But my unlocks in 2016 DIDN'T transfer over. They just got put onto new challenges in 2018 and had a bunch of shitty stickers on them.
You can still redo the 2016 challenges to get the unlocks again. That happened largely due to the change in publisher.
What that user meant is that once you unlock items, you can use them where you want. It's exactly the same unlock system as Contracts had.
Thanks to the Square Enix split, they couldn't actually transfer any data from 2016 to HITMAN 2 besides ownership data that lets you download the 2016 levels in HITMAN 2. That's why the best way to play 2016 is by playing it through HITMAN 2 as the unlocks will carry over into the HITMAN 2 maps and future seasons. If you unlocked anything in 2016 through the original 2016 game, you can't use it in 2 until you replay through the levels and re-unlock them in 2.
