haha yeah

because doing it lets you play every faction until another crossroads later in the game

because it makes a funny sound

Attached: dxl2ui5v2r611.jpg (900x900, 83K)

bitch ass nigga wouldn't pay up

i didn't, i helped him

Because I did not like him

Because I get an achievement for killing him with a Gulf club

Cause Caesar told me to.

For the ingame challenge about golf clubs.

Because I though I could become the ruler of New Vegas, not some dumb robot.

i wanted to hook my peepee up to his machine

Boomers deserve to die.

I wanted to do a yes man ending for my first play through.

Because I'm my own man.

Honestly he was just a fuckin dick, Not even trolling. You walk in there right? Not knowing too much about the whole situation except for what shouldve been a pretty much run of the mill delivery ended up getting you shot in the face cause this autistic shitlord couldnt find a better way to conduct his shady dealings. So upon walking in there and demanding answers for his bullshit blowing up in your face and nearly getting you killed he demands the chip back and talks to you like your nothing more than a shit stain on the bottom of his fucking boot, Lets think about this.
>Guy who survived getting shot in the face transporting my important holodisk when my second in command screwed me proceeds to track and kill everyone involved across the entire mojave looking for answers
>Kills two timing second in command and claims holodisk not knowing what it was
>Said individual obliges your request too meet with him, Courier literally couldve walked away.
>When he finally has the guy in front of him all he has to do is apologize the courier got caught up in all this shit, politely request he/she finish his delivery and pay him for his services (Maybe a tip considering this poor fucker got shit in the face cause of your incompetence)
>Instead "HAND ME THAT FUGGIN CHIB NAO YOU HAB NO RITE I WAAAAAANT ITTTTTT"
Fuck that whiny entitled faggot. No fucking manners.

>Why did you do it?
I didn't.

because he thought he could buy me just like how he bought everyone else

All remnants of the past have to be purged to start anew. He was just a stuck in the past parasite living of real humans.

his smugness annoyed me

>I am powerless without the chip, an old zombie man in a cage that spent tons of time in a coma isolated from the world
>I spent over 800,000 caps trying to get the chip
>everyone else wants it too
>I am not necessary for the chip to be useful, or even for the Lucky 38 to be useful, and you could just replace me with a robot that will do what you say
>literally the only thing I'm actually useful for is controlling a bunch of robots, that you could easily control yourself
>now please hand me the chip and be my servant
How about no buddy? All the cards are in my favor and you're asking me to fold

Attached: 1549801809678.png (320x353, 82K)

Seriously it pisses me off cause evrytime i get there im like okay im gonna try a house playthrough this time cause hes obviously the best choice and then i just end up killling him cause hes such a dub fag. While were on the topic of dumb fags. How much of a stupid cuck is this guy? The sorrows have lived here for goin on 200 years? Doesnt matter! Violence is wrong! Even though the white legs are a bunch of murdering killing fucks for almost no reason eradicating a peaceful tribe we should just have them give up there land and let them be walked all over. What a fucking loser imagine packing up and walking off with this degenerate, Tail between your legs instead of removing tribals with based joshua

Attached: 22380_20190515141642_1.png (800x600, 418K)

He was an old ass boomer living in the his ivory tower

>cause hes obviously the best choice
lol anyone is better than him, the method with which he survived the war tells you everything you have to know about him. Instead of living in the vault having children and passing his skill he'd rather play god through a machine. He isn't the type of person you would want to hand over the fate of humans on the surface.

I feel like HH was an analysis into how to defend Christian civilizations vs how Christians have been (((fooled))) into believing they should be defended in recent times

But that's why the courier is getting paid big bucks for, there are always warning signs with high payment jobs, it's implied in the game that the courier knew something was fishy because of the large payment.
But how is he entitled for getting what he paid for and compensating the player well for doing it?
It's his own property that he went to a lot of trouble for to get back, of course he's "entitled" to it.
There are people conspiring against him, so of course he's going to use workarounds that are shady, given that all his resources are non operational, not doing so is the same as losing.
The only thing here is that your ego is not being stroked, not that House actually did anything wrong, you are a courier being well compensated for your voluntary risks and have a job to do.

>Immediately felt bad and offered to put him back in
This really curbed my enthusiasm for doing stuff in that game. It felt like I sinned.

> " All the cards are in my favor and you're asking me to fold"
Kino.

>Violence is wrong!
No, he wants the Sorrows to leave because of what becoming violent would do to them, they would lose their innocence in his eyes, when they are one of the few pure/divine things he sees left in the world.
If you want to fault him for something, it's his misplaced repentance, he is imposing on the Sorrows by keeping them innocent for his own sense of salvation.

while i don't think you're wrong, there's a shitload more context to that period of history than simply christians vs da jooce. you really need to look into the creation of mormonism, its influence by jewish mysticism, Bam Shel Tov, the birth of Hassidic judaism and how it influenced evangelical christianity.

i mean, judaism at that point was so far removed from current judaism its why i mentioned Bam Shel Tov, looking at how mornomism played out i am certain that Joseph Smith was influenced by lurianic kabbalah, and lurianic kabblah folding into christianity birthed evangelical christianity and manifest destiny

the lies might be jewish in nature, literally using the same framework of deception, but they don't come from jews, is what i'm saying.

Because I could.

I wanted to see multiple endings.

Yes of course, he was delicious

Attached: Meat_of_Champions.png (131x165, 7K)

To eat him

Sometimes I really want to play again NV

Should I?

Because he's one of the faggots responsible for nuking the entire world to begin with

>"all the cards are in my favor and you're asking me to fold"
Regicourier might as well be the canon courier.

Pretty much.

Sure dude, there are always different runs you can complete. Did a melee/ unarmed and explosives playthrough that was fucking top notch

Never gets old when something blows up.

time to play new vegas again for the 20th time, while deus ex and system shock have almost no time played.

literally the only in-lore way for New Vegas to survive was by letting House be the ruler.

No he isn't, he saved New Vegas

That's quite possibly the most advanced gaming chair I've ever seen in my life. Where the fuck can I order one like that?

>literal subhuman boomer desperately clinging to his old ways, despite being a pathetic lump of decaying meat
House is scum and he deserves to die

Attached: 1358795271339.jpg (601x601, 52K)

Absolutely based. Good on you user.

Attached: 1491777702540.png (1213x397, 582K)

Because I was mad I couldn't get a proper BoS ending.

time to go put Nevada in the worst possible state.

>yeah, he might have been a super genius that had a plan to make New Vegas a city-state and provide it with a pre-war quality of life, but he was a boomer so fuck em

I never get tired of pick pocketing live grenades into people's inventories m8. Never.

He literally made the nukes , he made most of his money in rocket engineering and manufacturing. He's like the dusty ancient wizard of the military industrial complex

This desu, and not only is House a coward and already obsessed with clinging to life but also possesses an enormously inflated view of his own value probably due to being fundamentally disconnected from other human beings at nearly every level, and his model of society based pretty much exclusively on a monopoly on force is probably the least stable and easiest to topple mode of societal organization in human history. All it takes to completely overturn his utopian vision is somebody with a bigger stick to disagree with what he wants.

Honestly I do it for narrative reasons. The game is replete with the idea of being beholden to the past vs letting go of it. To me at least, the ending that matches with that theme the closest is independent with you having allied the third-party factions together. Of the other ones? It's a 'benevolent' dictatorship by a pre-war Corporatist whom if he dies everything is lost and really only cares about Vegas Vegas, a tyrannical warlord of a faction that would only enact mass suffering and entirely relies upon one figurehead to keep it united and if he dies the entire organization will collapse, and the NCR which just repeats like 80% of the bad things about the US and seem to have a chronic disorder to betray and backstab anybody they make an alliance with. Each of the other factions seems obsessed with an idealized past that never was. For the NCR, it is the US yet they repeat the imperialist and warmongering of the US. For the Legion, they are Roman cosplayers. For House, he's literally an embodiement of the past. Now, there's a way to argue that independent is merely the status quo, and I think that's a valid critique but to me at least, getting all the factions to work together does push it past just all these seperated factions into a cohesive whole. Perhaps they will become another republic, perhaps they will become a successful Catalonia, or perhaps they will inevitably be crushed and absorbed by a greater faction.

Attached: LR_Courier.jpg (375x512, 45K)

is he even a genius? didn't he steal most of his tech?

>he might have been a super genius that had a plan to make New Vegas a city-state and provide it with a pre-war quality of life,
By scamming tens of thousands of people to build a technofascistic city state enforced by various mafia oligarchs and a robot army

Yeah no thanks

>implying Yes Man would be any different other than the Courier being in charge instead of House
>implying the NCR wouldn't be even worse with how corrupt it is

the only way a government can work is if it has a monopoly on power I don't see how that is a valid criticism

How does he pleasure himself? Is there onahole or some robodick stimulating his prostate?

Fuck Mr. House and fuck the Think Tank. Oh and fuck Elijah and fuck Dean Domino too

>and his model of society based pretty much exclusively on a monopoly on force

that's how every nation-state gets by, or at least the ones that arent failed states.

his politics are good because they're realistic. he's just a smug asshole and sometimes all it takes is one irrational person to fuck up his grand plans

Attached: IMG_3227.jpg (421x455, 89K)

heroin. It's artificial male orgasm.

>All the cards are in my favor and you're asking me to fold
ayyyyyy

just dont be the guy on the bottom lol

>Leave an Old World, capitalistic piece of dogshit alive so some other fucking idiot can come along and help him fulfill his fascistic dreams of delusional grandiosity and impose his Hitlerian, tyrannical, authoritarian rule over the Mojave

No. I shot that old fuck like he was just another piece of Wasteland garbage, and I ate his corpse too. You simply could not give control of the future of the state over to an egotistical, megalomaniac like House. I wish the game offered something more socialist or left of the political persuasion, in a nuclear hellhole like that capitalism should be first thing to go extinct; robbing and stealing from people who have absolutely no means to survive. Fuck that.

Just because tyranny is the path of least resistance which most state planners gravitate towards because of their own inherent human desire to amass power does not make tyranny the only viable method of governing human populations. It's simply the most expedient and requires essentially zero moral or ethical effort from those in power.

Yeah no, all of those endings would be better than House. I'd take the Legion over House, at least the Legion would burn the Strip to the ground and enslave or murder every single raider in the area. Plus according to Raul and some of the caravans they're actually pretty nice to people and allow for basic technology in their tributes as long as it isn't pre war medicine like stims, robots, or energy weapons

aint reading all that lmao

NCR has kino uniforms but fuck that kind of (((government))) incompetence

unless you have a monopoly on power then someone else will take over it's simply how it works. even in a utopian society you'd still need a standing army considering geopolitics

Daniel is the ultimate cuck and loses no matter what.
>Teach everyone to defend their home
>WAAAH THEY ARENT PURE OF HEART ANYMORE
>Evacuate everyone and doom them to a horrifying existence in the rest of the wasteland
>WAAH I MISS MY HOME IN ZION
What a faggot.

Why does House seem to not be shocked and appalled that a female Courier was entrusted with such a vital task? He seems like that classic 50s Mad Men chauvinist.

Go for it. Just dont try to do a master playthrough because thanks to the horrible engine the game is basically unplayable after you put so many hours onto a save file. I actually couldnt even finish the game last time i tried it because every main quest bugged out and wouldnt let me complete them.

Attached: extreme gazelle hunting.jpg (429x429, 145K)

what do you mean by master playthrough?

When I refer to monopoly on power I refer mostly to power brought to bear against one's own citizens, I'm not saying that every government that raises an army is a tyranny, only governments which specifically set out to create a situation in which they have absolute power over all individual members of their society, turning those people from citizens into serfs or slaves in the most fundamental sense. All tyrannies seek a monopoly on power in regards to their own citizens in such a way that if a citizen disagrees on policy they are made incapable in every way of opposing the state. From a first principles point of view it's an admission that your state is incapable of weathering even the slightest social instability or disagreement, and it also requires an enormous expenditure of resources which as the size of the society rises grows more and more difficult to maintain until policing citizens, compelling their obedience, stealing their resources, etc becomes the primary purpose of the state apparatus, resulting in the failure of other vital components of the society and it's inevitable social, political, and economic collapse. This doesn't even touch on how a government with absolute power (monopoly on force) is fundamentally capable of the maximum level of corruption and waste, the governmental version of russian roulette where everything may be safe for a time but the inherent chaotic nature of reality guarantees a failure somewhere vital. In a government system where the government is vital to everything that failure kills the society.

Friendly reminder the canonical good guys lost in fallout 2 and thus the wasteland is doomed

Like trying to do everything possible that you could do in a single run. As many quests, exploring as much as possible, etc. Maybe i just got unlucky but a save file seems to get more unstable as time goes on.

Because my 10 int and 10 cha build would’ve led new Vegas better than him.

God Bless, Patriot

True to Caesar.

I wouldn't do that anyways, because I usually heavily roleplay i these games. Are you sure the Unofficial patch doesn't fix that?

and why was the Enclave so inclusive, they weren't racists or sexists

You could try im just warning that its a possibility. Even then im sure if you fucked with console commands hard enough you could fix the issue if it happened but i was already getting pretty burnt so i gave up.

>For the Legion, they are Roman cosplayers.
They're a paganistic society who blame ad infinitum technological advancement for the destruction of mankind. That's one of the reasons why they try to look like Romans, to remind people how to be civilized. They're not exactly wrong either, and long term after the Legion eventually disbands after whatever weak line of succession comes after Caesar dies that cultural aspect of theirs will probably benefit mankind a lot.

Also, they rightfully try to shut down gambling , drug abuse, and prostitution. Nothing about any faction is completely good or completely bad, but the Legion are more than just LARP'ers

I rather have the wasteland die on a wastelader's terms than by the fucking Enclave

>and why was the Enclave so inclusive
The Western Enclave proclaim genetic purity, but they actively traded with towns like Reno. Colonel Autumn never mentioned wanting to purge wastelanders. All he wanted to do was control the source of water.

Nice.

Are you having a fuckin giggle m8?

Daniel is a good character. He wants to protect the Sorrows' peaceful way of life because it's rare- especially in the post-nuclear wastes. I've been reading a little recently about evolutionary psych / anthro and how miraculous it was that hunter-gatherer societies formed around cooperation between groups more so than competition. The Sorrows are one such group and many ideologues today point to these groups as a utopian ideal. Daniel wants to preserve this ideal and prevent them from an escalating path of violence that would fundamentally change them forever.

Compared to Daniel and his motivations, Joshua is a little more base and understandable to people. The development of fascistic / authoritarian ideals in self-preservation. Well written, but lacking in many areas.

>Joshua
He also doesn't give a fuck all this is just a way for him to let out his rage in a way that doesn't make his think God hates him

You do have every achievement right?

If I recall the Legion were the main victims of Obsidian running out of time. That's why they're comically evil and not as fleshed out as the others.

Wow, he is just like us.

The legion is a purposely doomed faction who after they conquer the NCR will with the death of Edward Sallow will collapse into a mess of nations much like when the Western Roman Empire collapsed and from this Humanity will grow stronger

Because a man chooses.

if only they wrote a actually interesting story to go along with it

Maybe that's why we hate him so, he exemplifies everything an introverted, disconnected, slightly egocentric person loathes in themselves, and in recognizing those flaws as our own we are moved to metaphorically self-flagellate by killing House and reveling in punishing him.

>after they conquer the NCR
they couldn't beat the NCRs most forward and under powered force, how the fuck could the conquer all of New California?

That's why they have a small fraction of quests compared to NCR

Gobbledygook

i fucking hate range bans

I had to cheat to get the one for caravan because one of my mods literally made it unplayable
>hurr hurr its already unplayable
No i mean the game would straight up crash if i tried to play caravan i dont know why.

>Saved New Vegas from destruction
>New Vegas looks like shit and is horribly maintained
>Everyone in the future has forgotten how to build houses or mix cement etc etc

This is one of my biggest gripes with Fallout. If it was somethin like 20 or 30 years after a post extinction event, it'd be understandable, but fucking 300 years later when new vegas takes place? Fucking christ.

The actual cities in F1 and F2 had real structures and not just crap shacks. Blame bethesda for being a bunch of lazy idiots.

>how the fuck could the conquer all of New California
Mainly through Vulpes levels of sabotage and infiltration while making deals with the different merchant classes that NCR are virtually rules by. Also, Brahmin barons give no fucks.

People who play Fallout because they enjoy Power Armor.

top quality post user.

New Vegas is a relatively new settlement that has a fuck ton of infrastructure initiatives going into it starting with the rebuilding of the Hoover Dam

no one man should have all that power

>Mainly through Vulpes levels of sabotage and infiltration
How? The NCR has a standing army and intelligence network. Not to mention Brotherhood and Enclave tech they've stolen and horded over the years. The Legions tradecraft shit only works on the NCR in New Vegas because they don't the resources to wholly fight it.

Attached: newvegas.jpg (1191x670, 242K)

yet they can't keep the legion from blowing up their monorail or even killing their president.

Don't forget irradiating Searchlight

I didn't, only snowflake trannies side against House.

>that pic
does she fug the gecko?

damn dawg, those are some smooth words at the end there. definitely gonna steal em for future use.

>yet they can't keep the legion from blowing up their monorail
the Courier does it

>Don't forget irradiating Searchlight
>smuggling in a dirty bomb via suicide bomber
such great tactics
>does she fug the gecko?
no

Attached: newvegas2.jpg (1192x670, 125K)

>How? The NCR has a standing army and intelligence network
... So does the Legion, and its good enough that they can sneak in and out of NCR territory and sack settlement without anyone in the NCR noticing - twice. We also know that the Legion has highly ingrained spies in the NCR already, and within the NCR's over stretched territory there are people, like the Khans, who despise the NCR and admire Caesar.

Also, the Legion does employ energy weapons and etc technology when it comes to military pursuits, it's just that they put severe restrictions on it's usage by rank.

The Legion would definitely pose a major problem to the NCR, although I doubt either side could fully conquer the other.

Merc Charmer is the best clothing for female characters, prove me wrong.

>the Courier does it
No, they have a spy who will do it without the Courier
>Detonating an irradiated bomb in the middle of the enemy base because no one noticed people sneaking into the center of their base
Yeah that's kind of a problem

>and from this Humanity will grow stronger
Caesar's Legion doesn't have ANY of the precepts that Rome had that made it's legacy useful for the growth of the European Kingdoms that rose from it. It hasn't established an educated class to preserve information, it hasn't built infrastructure between major locations, it hasn't invested large sums to converting land to agriculture, There isn't a Lingua Roma to assist in diplomacy, there isn't a meaningful military history to learn from and work on

It's just a bunch of chucklefuck raiders, except when Caesar dies they'll turn on themselves and fall into obscurity.

Because Just letting him live forever completely disconnected from the world seemed too cruel

Is Dust a good mod?

You've never held a position of power over anyone, have you?

>prove me wrong.
I can't, but I do like the merc adventurer outfit tho

Attached: newvegas3.jpg (1192x670, 118K)

>Nobody ever notices me... but they notice the Pip-Boy light.

>Brotherhood and Enclave tech they've stolen and horded over the years
>Can't even figure out how to get T-51b working, nevermind Enclave APA
fucking NCR brainlets wouldn't even know how to change a fucking battery on a laser pistol.

also
>hunting down and killing every Enclave survivor instead of recruiting them into the NCR so they can actually have decent technology
Absolute fucking brainlets.
Savage fucks.
They deserved the modified FEV.

Can Super mutants even fuck?

Dude has 5 INT, I'm not letting a brainlet run the wasteland.

>It hasn't established an educated class to preserve information,
Pretty sure they didn't have this concretely until after they conquered most of the Italian Peninsula , but they do have a strict hierarchy on technological usage and spend their times educating tribals to not be tribals.
>It hasn't built infrastructure between locations
It has, the Region secured a lot of Eastearn trade routes by eliminating raiders and making a lot of settlements their tributes
>It hasn't converted land to agriculture
What do you think the slaves are for m8?
>There isn't a lingua Roma
Everyone mostly speaks English and those that don't throw Legion has translators for

When will this "Legion are just raiders" meme end?

That's a valid question that you should probably take up with the Master.

Well they are just raiders who happen to be really good at it

There is literally no reason to pick that shriveled old sack of shit over Yes Man

No

I'd really like to support the Legion but Boone's backstory stops me every single time.
I don't even like the NCR but fuck.

I blew that faggots brains out. He ain't talking to no one.

I thought the BoS sabotaged all of their PA that got left behind.

It's weird. Some lore says they're sterile, other suggest that they don't have reproductive organs.
I guess it depends on how pure and refined the strain of FEV that is being used.

Attached: 11017-1529355087-1195290881.jpg (3440x1440, 382K)

IDK.. They were proven to be sterile, but since this was the Master's oversight it MUST be implied that they can reproduce amongst themselves.

I want to say: yes they can.

One has a female lover in the first fallout.

Not asking if they can reproduce, just if the can fuck.

Most can't fuck and the ones that can can't have kids so either way their race is doomed unless they go for a whole human farm route

Why is NV so good bros? It's flawed as fuck but I can't stop replaying.

Attached: IMG_20190501_175100.jpg (500x502, 46K)

how the fuck else do you think a bunch of mutated humans are going to reproduce you dumbass

You do know how to win at Caravan right Yea Forums?

I don't really like it, Raider Blademaster Armor looks good on females too.

he was a piece of shit that was going to kill you

No

>he sided with the NCR

you guys know their origin, right?
you know their founder was a literal jew who watched the failure of multiculturalism and sought to replicate it, right?

Attached: NO THIS CANT.jpg (556x578, 43K)

What?

Nah, the ones that stripped the armour of all it's mechanical parts were the NCR.
Realistically what probably kept happening is them not adjusting it properly for use and it continually snapping arms, necks and spines and them just deciding to scrap the idea of using it.
Then there's APA which is a fucking marvel of technology so the "WE DA OLD GUVERNMANT NOW" faction has literally no hope of ever getting to function properly

Just like Rome

Doesn't stop me in the slightest. For every Boone in the NCR there is a Boone in the Legion except instead of complaining about slavery and war crimes they've unwittingly committed it's probably about

>Muh profilgate degeneracy leads to nothing to but destruction *instert back story about their raider past*
>Muh true strength
>Muh rebuilding civilization

It's a real shame we didn't get a Legion follower desu, but I'm pretty sure that's what he would be like.

It's just Blackjack but with three hands

Would you have thought Fallout 4 was a better game if it had a joinable Enclave faction?
A fucking Cryogenically frozen Pre-War Soldier is literally the perfect recruit.

I wish I could use their amor without been associate with them

I know how to play Caravan AMA

>Raider Blademaster Armor
The ordinance armor from the Pitt, with the bombshell mini nuke bikini top

Attached: The Pitt.jpg (1920x1080, 233K)

Don't care

I'd fuck young Tandies brown pussy until she creamed then father my own nepotistic dynasty in the NCR

>Blackjack
I only know poker though

Sure but not better by much and definitely not good. The least of 4's problems are the ending choices.

>and sought to replicate it, right?
Almost all of New California is pre-war at the time of New Vegas

>High stakes Caravan with hundreds of thousands of caps because you can just keep reverse pick pocketing people.
This was the stupidest fucking glitch.

I heard the [[[Brahmin Barons]]] are behind the war in the Mojave

So are the enlcave In NV like the ones in 3 or are they a little better?

>but they do have a strict hierarchy on technological usage and spend their times educating tribals to not be tribals.
That leaves the majority of those tribals completely uneducated at anything but raiding and listening to who has the biggest stick.
>the Region secured a lot of Eastearn trade routes by eliminating raiders and making a lot of settlements their tributes
That's not Infrastructure. That disappears the moment the Legion is gone or they themselves become the new raiders plaguing those trade routes. It's just wasteland. Roman roads were important because they provided concrete and reliable pathways for travelers to use, rulers to tax, and soldiers to protect.
>What do you think the slaves are for m8?
From what we've seen? Cannon Fodder and pack mules. At no point is it implied slaves are returned back to Arizona to help in the growth of the Legions Power or agricultural centers.

The meme will end when they stop being glorified raiders. So never.

>implying they managed to get pre-war standards
Oh come the fuck on, don't be a retard.

there are no Enclave in NV just old coots trying to relive their glory days

It seems unintuitive at first but it is really easy once you know how to play because the AI is really shit at it, also a pretty good source of caps.

What the fuck happened o his arms and legs? Didn't her just get in here to prolong his natural life?

First Gen FEV destroyed the Genitalia of those it infected. The Modified strain preserved the Genitalia but still rendered the host infertile due to its effects on gametes. Marcus talks about the Girls in Reno not being able to handle him, One Mutant has a human lover,

He has advantages you don't have.

Biological Immortality, that means long term stability and assurance.
Resources.
Connections.
Fear and respect factor.
Power.
Pre-war knowledge about everything related to ruling, control, economics, etc, something a post war born Mojave wasteland courier surely doesn't have.

He is hardly flaming or massivein both meanings

I remember on my first playthrough I was initially torn between House and the NCR and hoped I could make some kinda deal between the two but then I killed Benny and met Yes Man and before you knew it I was in sneaking about the Lucky 38 and murdering my friend and benefactor
Felt like shit after doing it.

Holy fuck a Cazaclaw, hopefully they inherited only the weakness

they are lorelet, the even have working cars

>That leaves the majority of those tribals completely uneducated at anything but raiding and listening to who has the biggest stick.
It's canon that the Legion oversee societies with running water, electricity, and that the caravans appreciate them because Legion lands are extremely safe from raiders and etc dangers. So no, tribals aren't just taught about war.

>That's not infrastructure
... Yes it is. It's protecting the ability of people to create their own trade routes.
>It's just wasteland, every road in the Roman Empire was paved with concrete
Most of Rome was made of wood
>From what we've seen?
Topkek, a spiteful nerd. Yeah I'm sure that the Legion only ever uses slaves to carry things because you never saw a farm dedicated to the legion in the game. I mean, slaves being used for agriculture? Pffttttt

But what if people just like be nice bro haha? Competition ended in real life 1945 why couldn't it end in the Fallout universe?

how the FUCK do I play caravan? i swear i sit there looking at the instructions and nothing clicks even in the slightest, and then i get into the game and its even more confusing

It's just three hands of blackjack but with a twist of solitaire

They dont seem too bad. Not like the Enclave in 3 anyways.

Alright I want to do another playthrough, been thinking about rushing to Zion just to make for an interesting playthrough.

Oh, then probably. There's also probably a lot of tribals throughout California though

>Enclave in 3 is bad
Autumn just wanted to turn on the purifier and control the water
Eden was a sperglord

i dont know if this helps but i guess i'll try again soon, about to start another modded playthrough

I've always wanted to start a level 1 character outside of Freeside to see how different the game would be. Fuck man, everytime with either a NV thread or a VTMB thread I end up replaying the game

What are some good mods?

>It's canon that the Legion oversee societies with running water, electricity
Those societies are pretty much entirely separate from the Legion outside of being Tributaries, and them having running water and electricity is part of the "Should, coulda, woulda" of the developers, which would have made an entirely different Legion anyways given the time to do so, so that point is mute if we're talking about the Legion we got. We're talking about what the "Legion" provides, and aside from "security", it's not much in the long term.

The "Caravans" who appreciate them live in total fear of them. The one guy in the game who praises the Legion for keeping the roads safe is the same guy who can't leave their Camp because Lanius decapitated one of his Pack Brahmin for annoying him, and he's "not dumb enough" to ask for a reimbursement on it.

>every road in the Roman Empire was paved with concrete
Concrete was more in the synonym with "sturdy", although I don't know what most buildings in Rome being wood have to do with things, when it was those built in stone that were the constructs that would help preserve European Architecture and give them something to emulate. The Legion doesn't provide any such structures.

>I mean, slaves being used for agriculture
If that was the case, they could have simply mentioned it. Neither the game or the developers notes do. They do talk extensively about those slaves being turned around and used as soldiers, and we see them carrying stuff. If you're running by "Obvious" logic, then obviously the Legion has built an extensive system of roads, obviously forms more constructive bonds between them and their subjects, and obliviously Caesar didn't elect his most brutal and widely disliked General to be his defacto heir because ???

>start a level 1 character outside of Freeside
I mean if you do the reload dash glitch you can easily get a level one character over there with only the Goodsprings marker unlocked

Because the old world is dead, and he should have died with it, long ago.
House wanted to create an island of civilization, to restore the world he knew. What he never stopped to consider was that he'd be destroying the one I knew in the process. I don't know much about the world he lived in, but I suppose, in that final moment, I understood enough. There he huddled, a weak, terrified, decaying thing, unable to survive even breathing without the assistance of machines, desperate to live on no matter the cost. There I stood, on my own two feet, having already made my peace weeks ago, in Goodsprings. He reminded me of one of those rusted robots, still living 200 years in the past, unable to realize the world had changed around them. My world ain't perfect. It's a harsh, brutal place. But it's an honest world, that breeds hard men and women: I don't wanna see it torn down all over again just so he can try to resurrect some distant dream of the world he once knew. I've seen the trappings of greed and decadence in the ruins of the sierra madre. I've seen the maddened degenerate scientists of big mountain. I've seen the destruction his world's weapons are capable of causing, in the storms of the divide. I've seen what his 'civilization' led to in the end, and I prefer the savagery.

>this samefagging over a mediocre line

It has been a while since i played but that's basically it.
You and your opponent each have 3 stacks, you win when you have two stacks between 21 and 26 and lose if your opponent does the same.

That's really the key thing you need to know, you'll figure other shit like suits, deckbuilding and what the royal cards do just by playing a couple of games.

>You've never held a position of power over anyone, have you?
What did he mean by this?

House should be given a synth body.

Attached: 377160_20181230145531_1.png (1920x1080, 2.87M)

Also Kings double the value of a card so you can fuck over your opponent and make their stack to big, jack removes cards so you can do that to unfuck your stack or fuck theirs and queen lets you change stack order from descending to ascending or vice versa. Joke is a fuck shit up card cause you can force it to remove every card of the same face if placed on ace or number if placed on that number from the board

The most skipping that I did was when I tried to get Raul at level 4 with that stealth boy you get from the school. It was painful as fuck.

What did he eat?

Also, why are people still eating 200 year old food?

And why does everything still look like complete shit after 200 years? People literally living in houses that are 200 years old and falling apart. Why does no one ever build anything new in the Fallout universe? You would think after 200 years there would be plenty of untamed forests and places brimming with resources to rebuild the world.

that is babymode, I beat Lonesome road starting at level 1

The courier can literally achieve all of those things, except first-hand prewar knowledge, as they can replace their vital organs, unite the majority of New Vegas, and topple regimes all on their own

HATE NEWSPAPERS
FUCK DRUMPF

Could you give me a rundown?

Is it easy to do that without mods?

>Fight the legion
>They dont use roman battle tactics

I didn't use mods during it

Wrong. She is

Because this isn't real radiation, it's 50's comic book radiation.

>More than 2000 Pro-Voiced Lines
>8 New Quests with several routes and resolutions
>7 to 10 Hours of Gameplay
>29 New Perks - with a twist!
>Hilarious Participation of Johnny Utah, from NewGrounds fame
>Multiple Endings with corresponding Slideshows
>Original Soundtrack by Pablo Coma
>A quest mod so good Bethesda ripped it off in FO4's DLC

This is largely due to bethesdas incompetence. Governments, cities, and infrastructure are built and established in the fallout universe.

Regardless, look at Chernobyl for example. It's much more radioactive that most places that atom bombs were dropped on, yet still nature is somewhat thriving there despite the radiation, and it's only been what, 33 years since Chernobyl happened?

Imagine 200 years after a large scale nuclear exchange, most of the most dangerous isotopes would be long gone, and less people means nature will thrive in the aftermath.

it's been established that radiation works differently in the fallout universe

Again. It's not based on real radiation. It's based on an exaggerated and misunderstood comic book depiction of it. Just like all of the technology in the fallout series is based on 50's ideas of what the future would be like.

Synths should never return. What a stupid fucking idea they were.

>Those societies are pretty much entirely separate from the Legion
You realize that one of the conditions for tribute probably also means "service" to the legion? So not just growing food for them and providing etc manufacturing for them, but actually being engaged in the state? Caesar himself calls his state totalitarian so it definitely plays a more major cultural role.

>The "Caravans"
... Yes they are indeed called caravans , what's with the ""
>live in total fear of them
I mean yeah, the reason why Legion territory is so safe is because the Legion are just that brutal in their punishments. They actually apply the death penalty and etc harsh corporal punishment.
>Aside from security they aren't providing much
I mean, I think enslaving or murdering anyone like raiders getting in the way for people prosper so they can actually build themselves up a bit is pretty important in a post apocalyptic world

>I don't understand what Rome mostly being built out of wood has anything to do with what I'm saying
There was more to Rome than your jerking off over their stoneworks, their trade routes were maintained through vast security forces making then stable.

>The developers never say that the Legion uses *slaves* for agriculture
I can't even... I mean first of all you can talk to the slaves about them being forces to do manual labor but for whatever fucking reason working in a field does not count as manual labor to you?

What are you smoking right now?

Since this is a FNV thread, I got an issue that's been bugging me for months. After spending 5 hours stabilizing the game, I have one last issue. I cannot for the life of me activate windowed mode since alt+tabing out of FNV on fullscreen leads to a crash

I tried OneTweak but that doesn't work since I cannot activate windowed mode, even after toggling it on launcher and the ini files

Attached: 1546127222776.png (558x614, 92K)

Legion follower really would've helped flesh them out personality wise

Both are me

Because I was hungry

Synths are neat idea. Fallout 4 just had terrible execution of them as a concept. My only guess as to why this happened was because 76 was being developed as 4s multiplayer.

nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42956

Attached: 12406-0-1485558969.png (1920x1080, 3.96M)

Its not this kind of issue, I just can't activate window mode at all. It always starts on fullscreen no matter what exe or toggles

Then you should agree with me

You honestly don't understand the NV story and I'm gonna respond to this 3 hour old post because people always get this shit wrong.
>Said individual obliges your request too meet with him, Courier literally couldve walked away.
>politely request he/she finish his delivery and pay him for his services (Maybe a tip considering this poor fucker got shit in the face cause of your incompetence)
Couriers HAVE to finish the job no matter what, it's in the contract. If you fail to finish a job you pay for it with your life.
Also from the jobs we've seen and considering you're traveling the wasteland delivering shit it's obvious that you're putting yourself in danger being a courier.
House gives you a home in a sought after location with clean water, power, easy access to money and absolute privacy.
It's understandable that when the thing he sought after for 200 years is finally in his grasp he gets overly emotional and you're an idiot to think that any normal person could do otherwise.
People like you who can't even understand a basic story device are the reason we're stuck with such dumbed down games today.

for Caesar nigger

Absolutely based user. Kino line which I will definitely incorporate.

I role played as an NCR stooge in my first play through and did a lot stuff I felt bad about. Killed House, destroyed the Brotherhood of Steel after doing all their quests, made the Great Khans suicide attack in the battle of Hoover Dam, etc.

>All the cards are in my favor and you're asking me to fold
You're pretty good

Sometimes you fold a good hand for an even better one next time

>Player character could have been a synth.
>The intro would have just been false, implanted memories. Kellog might have even been the person they actually happened to, kept alive with cybernetics.
>Story instantly more interesting then the shitty plot and instantly guessable 'twist' of fallout 4.
>The fact that the player never actually needs to eat or sleep to survive and can shrug off debilitating injuries would have suddenly made perfect sense.
>VATS would have had a plausible explanation.
>Player would have had a much more organic reason to seek out and work with the railroad.
>Would have lent more depth to the factions questlines, allowing you to play their quest lines straight or as a synth infiltrator for the Institute, turning on them before the final mission.
>Would have given the player more reason to feel sympathetic towards synths, as literally zero are present in the base game, they are simply expected to.
Such a fucking wasted opportunity.

pls help

Attached: 1489434103272.jpg (537x534, 75K)

nigga i don't give a fuck about that shit
i don't play by anyone's rules, maaaaaaan

I feel like Far Harbor is what they originally wanted for the main story of the base game. The institute being evil as fuck but if the player character wanted an absolute peaceful ending for all factions, you'd have to kill all their leaders and turn a blind eye to morally repugnant shit that other factions did. And in the end although you destroyed the Institute, you effectively became them by trying to end the fighting and paranoia

4 had a lot of potential

Attached: 37820-1551906933-66194632.png (1920x1080, 1.84M)

Sounds like gay M Night Shamalan stuff

Youre a fucking delivery guy in a post apoc nuclear society where if you skip out on deliveries a bounty gets put on your fucking head. Your whole fucking rationale for making the delivery should be, “Well I sure dont want to fucking die over a fucking poker chip maybe should get it back.” The fact you claimed your vengeance is very nice though.

Reminder that Fallout 4 attempted gay M Night stuff already with Shaun being an old man, it's just that literally anyone with half a brain cell figured it out exactly 0.01 seconds after they were refrozen in the intro so even the fucking slowest downie player saw the twist coming a mile away.

took him out and put him right back in. The long long hell of germs slowly killing him was the right choice.

>Youre a fucking delivery guy in a post apoc nuclear society
no i'm not
i'm roleplaying as something else you fucking faggot

yea no Mr. House clearly bluffing also Yes Man could override everything for you to control that's why he needs the chip to increase his power

>but actually being engaged in the state
Except this is directly contradicted in Directors notes for what their intentions would be for inhabitants of the Legions lands. The Legion would be very hands off until they needed something, at which point you had better give it to them, or you'd be obliterated. Only conquered Tribals are allowed in the Legion proper.

> I think enslaving or murdering anyone like raiders getting in the way for people prosper so they can actually build themselves up a bit is pretty important in a post apocalyptic world
Every other faction does this, the Legion just does it a bit more efficiently since every fiber of their being is out raiding the existing raiders.

>There was more to Rome than your jerking off over their stoneworks, their trade routes were maintained through vast security forces making then stable.
Exactly, The Legion doesn't even have the bear minimum of what Rome provided in the form of trade routes, so how can you say that they contribute to redeveloping Humanity?

Why didn't he make himself into a cyborg in that american robot that raped erreything or become a hyper intelligent super mutant?

Why stay in that box like a cuck.

>Burning Down the House
>Kill Mr. House with a flamethrower

>intelligence network

Caesar legion has better spy network than the NCR

Because he is still a man, not a monster. It's a visual shorthand, communicating to the player that he hasn't gone mad with power or become corrupted by an overly logical viewpoint, instead he is quite literally sealed away in a time capsule, isolated from the outside world and only able to observe it, but still the same man he was before the bombs fell.

Because I was a better choice than him and he wanted death.

Go independent and stick Benny on the fucking cross

Because he was an idiot who didn't turn himself into a cyborg.

god complex, didn't need shekels - kept him around for snow globes tho

Attached: Benny.png (234x278, 150K)

This.

Because NV is an underdog story. The courier survives death and ends the game ruling over the region. You could support the NCR or Legion, but you'd be ignoring the whole point of the game, which is neither nations are best for NV, and adding a third faction to the mix not only brings about an abrupt end to the NCR / Legion war, but also allows a safe haven for those who choose to be part of neither side.

Also because I fucking hate boomers, the future is now old man.

>fuck Dean Domino
why hate one of the best DLC characters
