I made a dorf fortress. Specifically, a puzzle-based map based on an abandoned one.
I went on AMPLIFIED map mode and went to the highest peak, and started work. Basically made a small dwarven city which was designed to look functional but long abandoned. A few books and visual clues would reveal what would happen.
There were a lot of redstone-based puzzles and some autistic stuff. For example, all the lightning in the city was done via lava through a huge and autistic lava network that centered in one big massive room which diverted it along 6 tracks.
You could close/open tracks using levers and cut off the supply to parts of the city, and this cleared some obstacles and stuff.

I put all the animals that we we used for breeding behind my minecraft gfs house, and she told me she was tired of hearing 50 fucking animals near her house at all times, so I spent 2 days building an enormous Noah's Ark on the ocean to house all the animals, I started with two of each animal mob, built little biomes for each of them, and designed the boat with a lot of christian symbolism.
Right now, I'm building a town for my villagers, which will turn into a city, and that's taken a month so far.
