We complain about liberals here, OP. Remember that next time you make a thread and then maybe you'll get replies.
After being stuck on Genichiro for 6 hours and forcing myself to become a true shinobi. Killed Ape and his wife first try, Owl (father) in under 10 tries.
When I fought Lady Butterfly and the entire game clicked.
When you deflect his flurry attacks and you both rebound off one another ready to go again.
I hope more games adopt this combat system.
>deflect his cloud passage in Way of the Tomoe
>he thinks he's cheeky and stabs for a free mikiri
this game makes you feel so good styling on the enemies
Owl is upsetting me. I can't figure out when to know if his normal follow up combo is going to be the short one or the long one. I'm punished for ducking out to get my poise back but I can't stay in because he does so much poise damage even if I'm constantly parrying.
I'm having a lot of fun but feel like I'm doing something wrong. I also can never get the jump kick thing to work. I just flail at them then fall into their attack.
WARE
At this very moment
WOOOO
When I got to gun fortress and grappled across rocks while a barrage of bullets were flying at me.
you can somewhat ignore your poise, if he breaks it he will always go for his steppy stomp punish, which you can punish yourself if you're fast with the recovery roll
he'll break it less and less as you get better at perfect deflections
you'll get him, he's a tough fight, and the rematch is doubly hard
stay midrange when you need to heal/posture too far out and he'll punish you. though maybe im remembering the wrong boss
Perfect parries never break your posture even though your bar fills up.
Sometime during the Genichiro tries it just all "clicked" and I realized I could enter The Zone™ at will, at that point I also realized this is one of the best combat systems ever made
fuck that chained ogre grab though, the hitbox on that is bugged and you cannot argue otherwise
When I got to Genichiro Way of Tomoe and 1shot him. I'd seen the webms but I thought that was a later fight, pulling it off so early and smoothly was invigorating.

Hesitation is defeat
Lady Butterfly
>Little old lady tells you Let's Rock and does a takedown on you off the high rope
I fought her first, so from my perspective Sekiro had the best first and last boss of a From game.
Genichiro, without a doubt.
When I went for the Shura ending Emma's grab always threw me because she used it so rarely.
Genichiro phase 3.
mada mada...
HESITATION IS DEFEAT
Her grab always threw me because it hit you in the air, you have to run fast as fuck away from her to dodge it.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
He's been beating my butt every time he poise breaks me but maybe it's because I'm being hesitant or something. I'll keep trying.
Are you sure? Is there two levels of parry, normal and "perfect"? I'm not blocking, I'm parriyng. It does the little spark animation and sound instead of just the clang.
It was really fun blowing the whistle and having the monkeys kill that Glutton guy for me. The one with the gun did like a full bar to him.
Also my corpse friends with the mortars basically beat that one snake eyes for me, what a bunch of great buddies.
When you escape the well and meet the young boy and his cute feet for the first time!
