The final villain of arc v almost loses to the comic relief after said villain defeated like 8 other main characters in a continuous duel (basically instead of the duel ending, another character took their place). Villain had a super bullshit unbreakable board that only the comic relief was able to get through and every other character yells out "Did he seriously just defeat Zarc!?"

Its amazing how good GX got. I just hated how fast they dropped Jaden as the Supreme King...they even redid all his elemental heroes and gave them a dark twist, but it was only for one duel and one episode. Could have done so much more.

I still think Zane vs Jesse/Yubel and Jaden vs Actual Yubel were the best.

They could've added some sort of time based ritual to it all to allow yugi to have time, it definitely would've spiced up a season that I think was generally pretty disliked. Yugi's duels in season 5 were one of the best in the show.

I'm normally a dub watcher too, but any Yu-Gi-Oh series' dub is a legit detriment to the show.

I think its a good arc because the Pharoah realises how wreckelss he's been getting as a duelist and is almost as bad as the bad guys and starts playing as a better duelist.
Yugi learns to stand on his own too after that. I mean Yugi sacrifices himself because he thinks the Pharoah is a better duelist than he could ever be.
Of course by the end of the series, we learn its not actually true and Yugi can and does beat him, and then Kaiba too in a later mention.
