It's really a matter of reading between the lines. Like if someone is making specific reference to the games from which the lewded character is from, you know that they've actually played the game. From that point you asking prodding questions about the gameplay while posting your own lewds. For instance

(You): I love Magic Knight! How do I make sure she's the best unit on my team?
