I'm more excited after seeing the new round of content they dropped to a few influencers, honestly. Looks pretty fun, I like the variety of weapons they had even that early on. I didn't like how weapons seemed to have 0 weight. Not even against bosses, where I'd sort of understand, but just regular enemies didn't flinch at all from a bunch of weapons.

As much as I'm excited for this game, I really hate how journos are coddling up to it just because its a lot more traditional to Dark Souls compared to Sekiro.
The game still has lots of problems that the devs did not fix at all in their nearly 1 year absence, which is namely the fluidity of animations. The same launcher animation hasn't been changed since 2017. I think it's too late to change this now but I don't want Bamco to think that they're making a good game here just because journos are enjoying it.

I got a ton of time out of 2 doing all the extras and farming better install skills
I played 1 to the end of the story and that's it and predator styles are overrated
3 felt rushed (storywise) but I still got a lot out of it and if they eventually do a Burst version with the other half of the game, it'd be the best of the 3

weapons don't have any weight
>animations feel too fast
>you can animation cancel mid swing
>severe lack of hit stun, even against normal grunts
AI companion trivializes the game
>if it's trying to copy Seki-Souls-Borne I don't get the need of an AI companion (ik it's for the waifus, but you can also get waifus without dumbing down the combat)

Speaking as someone who scout rushed every level in VC1 when I found out about it.

2 scout movements can cross the entire map so I beat every level in one turn after figuring it out other than the ones with special stuff going on
idk VC4 was the only one I played so I went in neutral and wanted to enjoy it but man everything felt so useless other than scouts and grenadiers

You level up INT and attunement so you have enough spells between bonfires
In 3 you carry more magic estus than health estus

CV doesn't require you to restock at a bonfire BUT from what they've shown so far you do need to melee/drain to restore the resource for casting/shooting

oh no that part's definitely true I'm just not sure if there are alternate ways to restore ichor (the resource) without having to melee at all
however, ranged characters have a ridiculous super dodge so you can hit and run easily to recharge

Basically the edgy ripostes are your main sources of repleneshing ichor, which you use for spells and ranged attacks. That said, there are many blood veils in the game. If you want to commit to full ranged, theres the stinger and ivy blood veils so you can riposte without going into melee
