How come Re7 and Re2 dont have online modes? Every Re game since 5 (5, 6, rev1, rev2, mercs3d) has had some kind of online play, what gives?

I booted it up a couple of weeks ago and the shooting feels and sounds so horrible it was an instant turn off. I get it was a 3DS game and all, but I've been spoiled by the rest of the series' design. RE1's guns felt more satisfying.

I'm sorry that I prefer having to aim my weapon as opposed to simply pressing a button over and over again to watch zombies die. Fixed Camera angles are good for atmosphere but not so much for gameplay. RE has always been more of a game play-focued series as opposed to something like Silent Hill which is more focused on atmosphere. Camera angles are perfect for SH whereas I think a more traditional 3rd person camera is better for RE. If that makes me a bad fan, I don't care.

Leon and Claire will raise a happy family together.

The more I've played 2make the more I've come to dislike. Gunplay isn't fun, the weapons sound and feel like ass, only the first location is interesting, though I suppoose that's with every resident evil, the game is way too short and the minigames are boring as hell compared to the hours one could spend in mercenaires.

You played it too much unironically. They didn't stray much from the source material. Imagine playing the OG RE2 for hours on end, it'd get boring and lose the atmosphere quick. Survival horror isn't really meant to be played consistently, moreso like once or twice a year around Halloween.

I've pretty much exhausted the majorty of most survival horror games, honestly
played the shit out of SH1, recently went back to and finally beat SH2 about a year ago, beat 3 years back, shattered memories sometime between 2 and 3

Probably. Doesn't help that all my playtime was within the first 2 weeks after release. Still I've gotten way more time playing other re games even 6 with 4 being the most with probably a playtime in the hundreds of hours.

I get what you're saying. The gameplay for RE2 is engaging, it leaves you wanting for more than what's in the game. The minigames are alright but I was never too much into them in the RE games in the first place.
