GUYS GUYS GUYS!!!!
YOU CAN UNLOCK SONIC!!!
JUST BEAT 20 GUYS IN CRUEL SMASH
WOW SRSLY? ITS SO HARD LOL
I like the simpler and smaller roster better. I am shocked at how pleasant it is to look at such a tidier selection screen
He's the boy.
I feel the opposite. Having spent the last five months only playing Ultimate and not having played Melee since December this almost looks foreign. How did a roster this small sate me for 18 years?
This. Just change the clone characters to different characters (Keep Ganondorf and Falco, but make their movesets more unique), rebalance the whole roster to be more viable and it'd be golden. No need for nearly 80 characters.
Use Puff
Use Dr.Mario or Falco.
UpB & Shine knock up Multi Man Melee events like the Pokémon Stadium match or the Yoshis in Stage 1.
The toughest match are the 3 Nesses but if you can corner one and your Falco/Doc combos are decently on point, you can pull through
Icies is easy, Metals are easy to make SD, Bowser is also easy, Giga Bowser is fine but you just need to take it slow and not choke it. Doc has Pills & Falco has lasers, both have safe combo starters and long easy strings on the fucker until you can knock him around easily.
>Wario not in
>game came out in August
>instead we get this shitty literally who
Forget my advice, go with this
Roy is the most based character in melee and is /ourboy/
FE is literally why wario didn't get in melee's roster
we almost could've gotten a better moveset for him
>He didn't unlock Sonic and Tails
try dk pound pound
Thanks. I managed to reach the Bowser fight with just Falco, but I still lost all my coins. Just a little bit more practice and I can finally beat this.
Nigga looking like a fuckin gundam
literally who the fuck asked for Dr. Mario
Technically Ganondorf, Doc, Pichu, Young Link, Falco, AND Roy are why we didn't get Wario. It was a 6 vs 1 deal. Worth it desu, what would 2000-era Wario's moveset even be?
Melee is the epitome of soul because I never had a console as a kid instead only playing this with friends who owned it, and not only was it an awesome game, it referenced all these other awesome games I couldn't play
He's marth but cooler because his sword has fire and his full charge B explodes people
>melee
>widescreen
>we will never go back to a pre-Brawl world where rosterfag autism didn't exist and everyone just thought Falco was badass and it was cool to have Mewtwo as a super secret character
the gameplay was actually good.
Honestly I was never a big fan of the clone characters as a kid. They'd get my hopes up that I was finally unlocking a new character, only to find out it's pretty much just a character I already had. Ganondorf hurt me the most because as a kid who loved Ocarina of Time, I was expecting him to throw lightning, earthquakes, and other shit.
underrated
Tell me who Marth is first.
I was a dumb, easily satisfied kid. Seeing that Ganon was a stronger Cap., and that there existed a move more devastating than even the Falcon Punch was enough to win me over.
I'm still pissed about how bad Roy is. Why are his aerials and recovery so fucking bad?
Some guy who came from a cartoon called Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. You can find it on a DVD somewhere, I don't remember. It's only like 3 episodes which is disappointing. I don't know who Roy is either because he never appeared in the show despite apparently hailing from it.
Melee did clones right though. Except roy hes shit.
>looked this up
>it came out fully dubbed in the us in 1997
But why though? It was never finished at that point, and nobody outside of Japan even knew what the fuck Fire Emblem was.

I thought Marth and Roy were from Sailor Moon.
The boy version of Marth
