What did you all think about it?
What did you all think about it?
I didn’t play it.
you did...
It's pretty good. I hope arkane keeps making immersive sims. They know how to make them. I wish that more studios would make immersive sims.
loved it, wished the dlc was more like the main game but what we got wasn't bad
When i think
>it has soul, but it wasn't enough
This is the first game i think of.
There's the HINT that it could be fun, there's little splinters of brilliance, but the overall structure isn't strong enough, it collapses under it's own ambition.
It's fundamentally not that fun to play.
It's not that polished.
The plot isn't that interesting.
It has a little bit of everything but nothing is executed well enough to be truly as good as it could be.
It's almost great but it falls short every time.
I can tell that the devs really cared too, but it just wasn't enough.
i think it's another garbage single player game
the sooner we let this fad of shut in player games die
the better the gaming community could actually feel like a community
so glad this sold like shit
devs need to understand no one wants to buy their loner garbage
name a game that is enough for you
One of my favorite games this decade; it would be GOTY 2017 if Nioh hadn't been released the same year.
It's basically a System Shock clone, but a really good one.
I don't recommend it if you're a Bioshock fan.
0 enemy variety killed it for me, i got tired of shooting the same enemies over and over again. The game itself was fun, fun game mechanics and physics, weapons feel powerful and terminals you can actually interact with.
It feels like a modern day HL2 in the "showing off technology" kind of way
name a single player game that is actually talked about after it comes out
note: tranny autists don't count as people
Not great, didn't feel the need to go back and do a typhon playthrough after a full human one. I'm sure the powers are neat to fuck around with but I really didn't like the base game that much. And yes, it was on max difficulty with the survival options turned on which was generally just tedious rather than difficult.
Really hated the ending as well which influenced my opinion of the game significantly.
Literally just System Shock.
There's a reason why all these games try to replicate it.
I remember thinking a lot of the characters weren't very interesting and the gameplay was dull. Saying that, I only played it once and it was a while ago. The personal rooms were neat.
I really like the Arkane but the game fell flat. The small enemy variety, lackluster story, and lack of difficulty kinda killed it for me. Ever encounter boiled down to "stun enemy, use shotgun, retreat, repeat".
That said, the game had some incredible level design and sandbox mechanics with shit like using the dart gun to interact with panels, and becoming small objects to get through tight spaces
>Make some nice content for Moon Crash
>Don't port it to the base game
Its okay, the enemies were bland and lacked variety. The ending made me laugh.
Gets way too hard at the end. Like literally impossible
It's better than the 2006 game
Pretty under rated honestly. A good gem that more people should play.
Low tier b8.
Fucking boring. All you do is read screens and look for loot. Nothing interesting happens.
if its bait how come i'm right
10/10 GOTY completely unironically
well, more like 9.3/10. Its got some issues, but none are too big.
Both aren't even comparable, nigger.
GOTY that year, which actually says a lot. Was utterly shocked.
How’s the DLC? Bought it but never got around to it.
Mario Odyssey is the best game of this gen so far and it's single player.
I hear its really good. Some say its even better than the base game.
BOTW
Its been 2 years and we still have threads about it.
i said games not talked about trannies
no one gives a shit about mario anymore unless he's in a party, sports ball, racing, or smashing. who the fuck even plays the single player ones
the best mario games all have multiplayer
Persona and Megaten get threads all the time, retard.
Open /vg/ and look at all the single player games that get threads.
Gay game.
good atmosphere, awful gameplay
uninstalled and watched a lets play instead at some point, it's just too boring to play
>haha this is so funny, wouldn't it be funny if i was in a dress... that would be weird~
Odyssey has a metacritic of 97 and almost 15 million copies sold. Seems like lots of people care about single player games.
"bing bang wahoo!"
yeah these are "people"
I loved the game, I think is a really good System Shock 3.
It's kind of like Bioshock if Bioshock wasn't a massive disappointment for anybody expecting something that at least feels a little like SS2. I can agree with lack of enemy variety being a downside. At least the introduction of the mimics and poltergeists are impressive but they mostly just become annoying after an hour or so. Not really sure why I never hear about it until earlier this year. It really seemed to go under the radar.
Another good game released in 2017. There were quite a few of those for some reason.
Great level design and aestheticS. Underwhelming enemy designs outside of the mimics and poltergeists. Any interesting narrative aspect is butchered by Arkane's horrendous voice direction, the same people that made Stephen Russell sound bored for a whole game.
Are you having a stroke?
Great level design, Arkane studios just consistently does amazing level design and there is small clusters of loot hidden everywhere which are usually tied to a note or body somewhere else in the station. Gloo gun was really cool, both in combat and just as an exploration tool.
The basic mimic enemy was one of the best fodder enemies in games, it posed no threat but definitely randomly catches me off guard. The Typhons and all the higher tier enemies are lacking in both design and enjoyment in fighting them. Great shotgun, boring ass enemies to shoot at.
Story, characters, meh.
It's a better system shock 2 than system shock 2
ya
Alex Yu did nothing wrong.
