The trouble with censorship is that it starts small, but it always builds. Sure, it starts with the obvious stuff, content that looks sexual regarding younger characters. But eventually it trickles into areas regarding adults in situations that aren't especially sexual. Like costumes being altered to not reveal midriff, cleavage, or underwear. This is especially offending if the game is rated T or above and intended for a maturer audience.

So there's only 3 real solutions:
1. completely block censorship in any form so it doesn't get out of hand
2. don't port games that need to be censored
3. don't put things in your games that would need to be censored.

Since artists don't like to be told what to do and companies like money, the first solution is the easiest and most profitable.

Censorship is automatically bad if it’s being forced onto a work of art by outside interests. An artist self-censoring intentionally is perfectly fine, like adding bleeps to swear words because it’s funny
