Why doesn’t Microsoft buy Steam and integrate it into the Xbox? Why is that not a thing yet? It seems like a common sense idea for both Microsoft and Valve

Steam isn't publicly traded

>Why doesn’t Microsoft buy Steam
Im pretty sure Steam is worth as much as Microsoft

So? Everything is for sale when you’re a trillion dollar company

Nice joke mate.

Microsoft is worth 995.7 billion dollars as of this afternoon

Why Microsoft doesnt buy Nintendo or Sony then?

The tried before the Gamecube was a thing though.

It would make people mad, I don't follow MS much but their are not the aggressive type they use to be.

Steam is probably more profitable than their own games division, but it would take the games division to convince the higher ups to make any acquisitions related to gaming.

Would rather see them buy Epic and send Tencent back to China.

NIGGA IT'S NOT A PUBLIC COMPANY

microsoft cant afford steam

japan has laws against foreign companies buying japanese companies, because they are a reasonable people

They'd have to offer a very hefty amount to even make Valve consider the offer and there just isn't a reason for Microsoft to buy them out.

Steam is owned by Gaben and he doesn't want to sell. He loves Linux and hates Microsoft.

OP you should look up a thing called antitrust laws before you embarrass yourself further

>he thinks antitrust laws are actually enforced

apple literally just got btfo for antitrust shit

>antitrust laws
Yes, and?

>Why doesn’t Microsoft buy Steam and integrate it into the Xbox?
It won't happen, but it would be a fucking disaster for Linux gaming. Valve has done so much for Linux with Proton and Steam Play, and if Microsoft bought Steam, you just know they would just immediately disable all Linux compatibility and come up with some bullshit excuse for doing so.

Gabe Newell literally has more money then he knows what to do with. What could he do with more?
