What race do you play in Elder Scrolls, and why?
Argonian reporting in. I dig Argonians because of their lore. Hist trees are trippy as hell. Black Marsh sounds super interesting, damn shame we'll never see it in its full glory with Morrowind-tier detail. Being able to play and interact with the different Argonian and Khajiiti forms would be rad as hell tpo, but we all know that won't ever happen outside of being a few enemies, MAYBE.
So anons, how about you? Elder Scrolls thread, commence.
What race do you play in Elder Scrolls, and why?
Also Argonian simply because I think they look the coolest
Lord of Lightning, or Rattlesnake
Games with this feel?
I think the beast races are cool but I always hate how they sound. I wish they sounded more like monsters and not just given random accents. So I usually pick Breton because they tend to have the best racial abilities.
feels wrong to play as the race other than the "main" race of the game. Especially for Skyrim. A non-Nord dragonborn just feels retarded and being immersed feels impossible. Morrowind is similar
Khajit, their bonuses suit my playstyle perfectly. As in, stealing everything I can and sneak-archering everybody.
I also find it hilarious that despite all the NPC Khajits whining about people persecuting them unfairly and thinking that they all use Skooma or steal things, most of the time they do have Skooma on them, or they just steal things.
Dunmer or Argonian consistently. Sometimes Khajiit, Breton or Imperial.
the evil imperials called him the black devil
the dunmer called him "eyes like the sky"
First TES was morrowind I didn't want to be beast, elf scum or nigger, plus like sword n board so sword n board nord.
I dabble in resto magic then desto and late game become full desto mage dabble in conjouration.
Skyrim was perfect for my playstyle as nords have it easy mode from frost resistance.
I got morrowind some time ago but I didn't get to deep into it, should I use OpenMW or play it vanilla first?
Ni I mean Redguard
You might be the only person on earth who plays as a Khajit
Also, what mod do you guys use to make the female npcs look hot, I need to know because of reasons.
OpenMW, it basically fixes bugs, glitches, improves graphics, memory management etc. Doesn't change much in content.
Take it easy, do a few quests for the guilds, let the basic main quest guy guide you a bit and get accustomed to mechanics.
Or try playing it with a friend.
Mods, better body shapes or something like that. It's in the top 10 mods list on nexus easily.
Cool, thanks.
>all these King Gizzard references
Based
The waterbreathing and desease resistance ain't bad either.
Khajit because it was my first race in an ES game. Why was it the first? I was young and it was just the most "interesting" race that wasn't completely ugly like Argonians,
For me, it's Murder of the Universe
I play argonians because I vastly enjoy reptilian races. It's a very unique aesthetic, most beastmen are the same. Cats, dogs, lions, foxes, can hardly tell them apart. Same muzzle-snout, same fur. Can't mistake scales for anything but.
Khajiits looked hideous until Skyrim though. Especially in Oblivion. But then again, everything looked awful in Oblivion. Even Morrowind was a billion times better.
That said, I like Khajiiti. I just like Argonian more.
I play as Bitter Boogie
12 Bar Bruise is their best album to me, and one of my all time favorites. The fuzzed out guitar and bits with harmonica is just pure bliss.
dragon girl
Also Argonian because I fucking love lizards, although I personally can't say I know too much about their lore. I'd like to know though.
Waterbreathing is such an underrated trait. It always comes in handy and you never realize just how important it can actually be until you're underwater.
The part that hurts the most is the "different forms" bit. There's so many cool shapes and sizes khajiits and argonians come in, and they'll never be explored because bethesda is lazy. God fucking forbid they make a player model that isn't humanoid.
There's so much cool shit that ES has to offer as a game world that will never be realized. I fucking hate bethesda for that.
I registered on Nexus
>all those mods
I don't know, I thought the Khajiit were the least terrible looking race in Oblivion. Still bad, but less bad.
Their lore is they are from tree's.
They are just as much plants as they are animals, which is why the slavery of Argonians is fine
Waterbreathing is also the most useless passive to ever exist in elder scrolls.
Read up on Black Marsh/Argonia. Sounds too fucking cool, just some impenetrable swamp that no one besides argonians can get too far in. Even the imperials could only conquer like a third of it. Fully grown hist trees sound super cool too
Cool. But I don't think I remember asking for your opinion.
Any speculation as to whether or not we'll see it in TESVI?
You actually see a different breed of Khajiit in every game. Some are just ugly, some look almost identical to Wood elves, some are literally on 4 legs.
at least, this is the lore they gave them to justify how they're always looking different thanks to graphical advancements. Pic related is a Khajiit.
The Argonians in Morrowind are also a different type of Argonian you see in Skyrim.
Their huge ass snouts were abhorrent to me. Made their eyes look really funny. And every mer looked like a fucking egghead, which was hilarious. Made dunmer look boring as hell.
Man, I'd love to get excited, but with Bethesda's recent track record, I don't think I'd WANT to see it. They'd butcher it to hell like Cyrodiil. Cyrodiil was supposed to be a big rainforest type deal, but they babbyfied it and made it dull as hell. Could you imagine how much they'd ruin a trippy poisonous swamp like Black Marsh?
If we were talking about Morrowind-tier Bethesda, I'd have faith, but I just can't anymore, even if it'd be a dream come true for an Argonianfag like me to explore it.
Nord
they had easily the best face options in Daggerfall (and Arena) and they're melee fighters
>bethesda will NEVER let you play as different forms
Fuckin
GAY
What's everyone's least favorite race and why?
Hopefully not. It would make a terrible place for a full game.
I'd want maybe some blackmarsh dlc at most.
I hope 6 is either in High Rock or Akivir.
Hoping more for Akivir, and replace some of the playable races. Remove useless fluff like Redguard and Imperial and make room for the Monkey-men and Snake men. Since Akivir already has its own feline race of dragon worshipping Tiger-men, we could even go back to the more Elven-like Khajiit and have them take the place of Wood elves
Redguard.
Literally the only interesting thing about them is their relation to the Left Handed Elves and how they are not meant to exist in the current timeline.
That's not a race.
Well, one of the issues would be that, if Black Marsh truly is impenetrable, no other races than Argonian would be able to get in, so it would (and should) be entirely exclusive to them, and that would be a whole lot of assets a normal player who doesn't play as an Argonian wouldn't be able to see.
Don't they have that sword singing deal too? What even is it? I read about it a while back and I remember thinking it sounded pretty powerful.
is in my game
canon doesnt matter in a world where ESO exists
Oh christ, bethesda already raped the canon to shit anyway. Saddest thing I ever experienced.
The sword singers are implied to just be works of fiction. there's no actual real in-game history as far as I know.
If it were to ever be canonized, it would likely have more to do with Left handed elves.
isnt ESO defacto non-canon since it's a thousand years in the past and there was a time break after daggerfall? it's literally how Talos become a god
>Left-handed Elves
Is the entire lore of those just that they're left-handed
I thought your pic was of a TF2 engie on acid
Don't do drugs kids. Or do so, I don't care.
Well, there are ways for others to get around. Like, dunmer slavers used special suits and masks to make it easier, but it was still a bitch.
So you have a really good point. It'd be very hard to balance that shit out without babbyfying it, and I don't trust bethesda to have the brainpower to do that even the slightest bit properly. Dudes can't even model a moving tram car in Fallout properly, it's just a tram model slapped on the head of a human.
It's quite the impasse. Makes me sad because it sounds like a really cool place.
All elves in elder scrolls are descended from the Altmer. Except the Left handed elves.
They are from the previous time cycle when Alduin reset time. It's likely they did some bullshit and the Redguards got swept up with it, causing them to continue into the next cycle
It's a fucking killer psych rock album.
>Altmer
Aldmer, not Altmer
there is a difference
So do the left handed elves still exist somewhere out there or is it just the redguards?
Nords. They're all just a bunch of whiny bitches and act completely self-entitled and self-important. Ulfric is seriously the worst example of them all, and his petty little faction deserves nothing.
I'm telling you I can see that NEVER EVER in the damn pic
Empire detected. Don't you have some Altmer cock you should be polishing?
Why does every single fucking person that plays this game play lizard or cat?
Because they're the most interesting, along with the Dunmer.
Breton are just mer rape babies, Nords are vikings, and Imperials are literally my mom's human.
>Bringing civilization to a bunch of brutish Nords that only know how to bang rocks together is a bad thing
>Why do people not want to play as generic humans and elves in a fantasy setting
The redguards killed them by sinking the entire continent of Yokunda. It was likely because of a super weapon created by the Left handed elves brought directly from the previous cycle that did this, but the redguards talk about some flowery sword dancing bullshit.
Starting fresh in Skyrim it was entertaining to run around as a talking cat with a loin cloth. A white/grey Khajiit male is always the main character, then the rest is whatever I feel like playing at the time.
(Not argonians, orcs or 'N' though)
Where can I read lore from the elder scrolls? It sounds very interesting.
>civilozation
Most people seemed to be doing just fine without being under the Dominion's boot. To expect one race to decide what's best for all is foolish, especially one as srrogant and foolhardy as the Altmer.
Acting all high and mighty until you toss an ice spear at 'em. Hoity toity glass cannons.
Men in Elder Scrolls are literally the embodiment of Lorkan.
UESP wiki. And it's very interesting, if not a bit confusing at times. I could read that shit for hours.
user the Nords created the empire.
And yet they're STILL cucking to the Altmer.
Is there a modding guide for Morrowind? I need some visual and gameplay recommendations.
Man, ES lore is a fucking trip.
what album? looks cool
Didn't the guy that write the bible for TES do a fuckton of drugs and locked himself in his house for a few days just writing it all
second, I'm getting a little overwhelmed over here.
Yessir, he tripped hard as fuck on mushrooms for 2 weeks straight when he wrote it, I believe.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - 12 Bar Bruise
Orcs. I hate orcs in any game. Ugly stupid monsters that have a tendency for violence. In Skyrim they're mostly fine but almost every orc I met in Oblivion was a piece of shit.
Also their lore is that they actually are pieces of shit. Disgusting filthy orcs. Mo better than goblins or ogres really.
I don't trust argonians either, something about their cold lizard eyes and the fact that they have a hivemind makes me feel less badly for killing them. Nords are whiny Viking babies, "muh Mead" "muh frost resistance".
Bretons are the least fleshed out race and I think they're a bit snowflake tier, everyone who plays them is a minmaxer.
My fave is khajiit, for pretty much the exact reasons that laid out. They never stop being funny to me, gypsies cat people that steal and do drugs. Love that stealth archery life. 2nd fave is imperials, they're competent and Roman and fun to use for any build.
flashcut to Ysgramor and the 500 companions slaughtering countless Mer, driving several races to near extinction and the Alesian Slave Queen rebellion.
flashcut to literally everything Pelinal Whitesnake did
I want a Pelinal game made by Platinum so bad
thanks
It's one of my all time favorite albums, hope ya dig.
I like you, even if you hate my fellow Argonian brethren. You got passion.
Here
Start with In Your Mind Fuzz
drive.google.com
this sounds like the best shit to play on the beach i really need to do that
Pelinal was fucking great. Dudes literally cut all of his limbs off and he STILL sits there talking shit. Fucking great.
Oh, I hear ya, even if I live in Minnesota. It's really good summer music, really warm and bright sounding.
If you want a good album for warm summer nights, check out Wildflower by The Avalanches. It's like a good relaxing night/morning in music form. Primo comfy.
Based.
well i live in Georgia so i sometimes take trips over too Florida for the beaches from time to time. honestly cannot wait to jump in the beach or lake again it feels good to swim.
Morrowind had the best argonians, imo
I always play pure or damn near pure mages because magic is fun. I play either Breton or Altmer, very rarely Nord. I like playing a human because it feels more relate-able and I really like the idea of a disadvantaged/generally less intelligent race spawning one of the greatest mages of all time (IE Shalidor). It makes me feel extra snowflake-y. Have a hard time choosing between Altmer/Breton though. Both have cool cultural backgrounds (Though Altmer is WAY more unique), but Breton feels more relate-able whereas Altmer just feels cooler overall
Beast races are property and shouldn't be treated as anything above that. :)
I know exactly what you mean, being in the water, feeling all weightless feels so good. Like flying, but you gotta hold your breath. I've always enjoyed swimming too, but I just do it alone since I'm all self concious. But I love that shit.
You must have hated Skyrim. Magic was so lame.
Pic related is a solid 8/10 album. It's good driving music.
I think in some lore it's said that the argonians in morrowind are literally retarded because they didn't get exposed to enough hist sap, which is why they are more reptilian
They all seemed pretty ok to me. Not dumber or anything. And I liked how they looked more reptillian. We need more differences between races instead of them all being straight up humanoid.
>He doesn't play High Elf every time he plays
I'd rather play an ant-elf
Shut up Morrissey. Of course you'd be an Altmer ya uptight old fag.
breton. statistically the best race. also argonianfags are all gay scalies and you can't convince me otherwise.
Yes. And?
>grow up in high rock
>trip over vampire covens trying to get to adventuring school
>get your soul stolen by a passing lich
>local duke uses your death as propaganda to get rid of children, claiming that they incite lich violence
Argonian so I don't have to worry about drowning or getting slowed down by bullshit diseases.
Not gay but I'd totally fuck a motherly argonian lady.
Bump
i roleplay much to stick to one race
it's a good thing that lizardboi isn't doing anything lewd, this being a blue board and all
>been playing Nord since Morrowind
>Skyrim comes out
>now everyone thinks I'm a Skyrim babby because I always play as Nord
Then what's your favorite
Don't ruin this comfy thread
>I play as the safe human race in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
Will there ever be a spin-off that takes place in Akavir or is that too fantastical for Bethesda’s imagination?
how can you show any affection toward argonians when every argonian female has the same voice actor as the chain smoking sisters from the simpsons
There are no humans on nern. The races of Man are aspects of Lorkan.
Except the Redguards, who are from the previous kalpacycle
>I play as the snowflake halfbreed race in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the safe roman race in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the scaly race in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the furry race in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the wacky dark elves in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the magic elves in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the barbarians in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the archer elves in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
>I play as the special black humans in a fantasy setting, look how cool and unique I am
where is this from?
Polygondwanaland is best album.
Also very happy my 2 favorite things, Gizz and Elder Scrolls are combined in this thread.
I play Dunmer because beast races are slaves
Don’t know, just looked up tsachi and this was one of the results
i wish reddit didnt have to discover a band i really enjoyed so every discussion about it in the future will be obnoxious
Good taste, I like Dunmer too, although I think the beast races are cool as hell. Dunmer may have enslaved them, but I think the Argonians got their payback during the Oblivion crisis.
>I play Dunmer because beast races are slaves
Ah, BDSM roleplay with Argonians. I approve!
Fuck 'em, if it's good, it's good. It does get annoying, but it's still good music.
I found it its actually a Lamia from ESO
bretperial
Yea, i was jesting, beast races are pretty cool. Khajiit with the phases of the moon breeding and Argonians were pretty cool in the Oblivion Crisis. The Hist themselves are cool too.
Comfy thread.
nuclear fusion
Any planet B hype?
Bump

Will be too difficut toimplement. How would you play Skyrim as an intelligent house-cat?
I like all of gumboot soup because its pretty chill to deliver pizzas to.
There is a reason why "c0da makes it canon"
ES lore is meant to be trippy. It also justifies modding in the base game - all versions of the Nerevarine, and their actions, are "true", because the Nerevarine achieved CHIM.
based "eyes like the sky" poster.
That whole album is underrated imo.
I ask my friends what their favorite is and 90% its nonagon infinity.
Same, bro. I like the Morrowind Argonians because they felt like actual reptiles. Like humane civilized dinosaurs. Also they looked cuter.
reminder that drugs creat the best ideas
also sitting on the shitter
I usually see a toss up of Nonagon, Polygondwanaland, and Murder Of The Universe, with some Microtonal and Mind Fuzz. I prefer 12 Bar Bruise by a pretty big margin, but it's all very good to me.
that the next album?
I'm still jacking off to fishies. I'll get back to you in a month or two.
>also sitting on the shitter
this is where all of Chris Metzens writing comes from
Yessir, I really liked how they stood out. If you saw an Argonian walking, it stood out. I liked that.
Personality wise, they didn't seem any worse off from lack of hist. They're always connected to the trees anyway, I thought.
Its a pity drugs are illegal where I'm at.
I wonder if coffee, tobacco and alcohol can suffice
they cant, can never get to the same mindset.
alcohol makes you retarded, cofee is just redbull+10 and tabbaco is a 5 min dose of nostalgia and chills
They can't. I gotta get by on cigs, coffee and kratom, and while kratom is ok, I miss weed and painkillers every fucking day.
Been clean for damn near half a year and it still haunts me. Goddamn.
Mainly Dunmer, but the also the rest.
Dunmer's very popular, and with good reason.
Guess I'll just have to rely on autism then
>tfw no playable people-vulture beast race
just make your own dmt. its not hard
>morrowind and oblivion nords
>scottish accents
>skyrim nords
>horrible scandinavian accents
Redguard because lorewise they are the race that doesnt do horrific shit and fucks up everyone that tries to invade them.
I'll never forget the naked Nord in Morrowind.
Who was in the wrong?
*nords
there's fucking three of them
those fuckers split the atom and nearly doomed us all with their swords
>King Redditzard
When every other race is slavers, rapists, literal nazis, brainless. It's not that bad.
I mean, you can lazily mock all you want, it's still good shit.
>All these anons get to dive into King Gizz for the first time
I can't wait for everyone to argue which album is their favorite. There's so many and they're all different.
Yea Forums disagrees.
That's the joke.
yeah you right
From the lore perspective, Khajiit.
My favorite to play are Bretons though, I like the magical playstyle and they tended to have interesting powers.
mer>men>beasts
prove me wrong you can't
mer can't punch frost atronachs to death without taking damage
Man, Yea Forums's nothing but underage shitlosters and Kanye dickriders. No reason to give a fuck what they think anymore. There's a reason the board is dead as fuck. The conversations there are insufferable shitposts fest. It isn't even funny shitposting, just really lame shit everyone's heard a billion times before.
t. Yea Forums refugee
Fuck that board.
I butchered that post because I'm overtired, but my point still stands.
Guy on the left looks like Titan from Megamind.
Too difficult for Bethesda's best and brightest = Easy for some 70 IQ 15 year old Russian modder.
You can achieve the same exact trip and mental state through meditation. In fact, meditation can go further.
Mushrooms are like a demo and LSD is like the pirated version where you have to use near-dead community servers loaded with bullshit mods and annoying crap.
I can’t believe you’re making that reference, but yeah I can see it
First class I played was Argonian in daggerfall. Usually argonians because they look cool.
Otherwise if I want to go less beast I’d choose a dunmer or bosmer
>he doesn't like mega-kino
Skeleton, because the goal of all life is death.
I want to like Bosmer but I can never get over the Green Pact stuff. I get preferring meat, but being unable to eat plants hampers my alchemy.
>some Bosmer use and eat plants anyway
Maybe so, but it still hampers my roleplaying. Not to mention cannibalism disgusts me.
They kinda cute
This series shouldn't be in Bethesda's hands
Holy shit. I know oblivion had bad faces but seeing it compared to the rest is mind boggling
>all those egghead elves
This is what I want improved in the games. Have more than 4 voice actors doing 3 different voices that make a total of 12 in-game voices.
There’s nothing that takes you out of it by talking to a character and hearing the same voice come out of someone else a few minutes later
Would you call any of the faces on this chart anything but bad? It's basically the TES trademark to have bad faces.
>I want a Katia Managan mod
>she looks awful like your pic related
>other passable ones are only for oldrim
I’ll just use a standard khajiit with better body mods
No I actually enjoyed the movie. But I never expected to see that reference in this thread
My favorite Elder Scrolls race is
Paper Mache Dream Balloon
HAVE YOU SEEN BJORN
One day I will own this store.
Argonian mommies
I prefer it that way. Bethesda realized since Morrowidn that a strong moddng community can literally do 50 to 75% of their job. Fallout 4 and 76 were steps in the wrong direction but, hopefully, they will remember that the hands-off attitude is why Morrownd, Oblivion and Skyrim were cemented as classics.
MFW I made a better bodies compatible tenpace boots fix/new mesh and never released it.
I WILL HAVE YOU EJECTED AND BANNED
God the amount of clipping must be annoying
Probably why she’s used to take this picture instead of to play the game
white human, because white humans are superior
Fuck
Never played Morrowind. Any must have mods or particular version I should install? Is it better than Skyrim or fallout 3?
Bump
Yes
Don't die
My favourite race is either Dunmer or Nords, and it really just comes down to the fact that these two races are the most developed culturally. Dunmer feel like the most realistic of all the races and actually feel like a complex culture that could exist in the real world. Nords are a close second because although they seem generic on the surface, once you start to get into their deeper lore they have an extremely fascinating history. Plus their ancient mystical Viking aesthetic is really cool. I would like the Imperials a lot more if Oblivion hadn't absolutely massacred their lore, and instead just made them Romeaboos.
The guy you're talking about is Michael Kirkbride. This rumour has existed in one form or another for as long as I've been into TES and I have no idea where it came from but there's nothing to support it being true.
Being a time traveling divine cyborg from the future doesn't hurt either.
It's the opposite. The more Hist sap an Argonian consumes the more reptilian they are, and it's likely that because Morrowind is so close to Black Marsh, they have more access to it than in the other games.
I hope not. A game in Akavir would ruin Akavir. Akavir is supposed to be that mysterious eastern land from which every once in a while strange shit crawls out and everybody else on Tamriel has to deal with it while scratching their heads about what the fuck is going on over there. Exploring Akavir would ruin the mystery. There's also some metaphysical shit that suggests Akavir is supposed to represent the future while Tamriel is the present and Yokuda the past, and it's likely impossible to properly do justice to such a concept in a video game.
No clue why people hate on ESO's lore. Besides Argonians, Nords, and Dunmer agreeing to make an alliance, it's just about the same quality as all the other games. Pic related is fantastic dialogue of Sotha Sil talking about Vivec.
HIGH ELVES WILL ACHIEVE DIVINITY BY DESTROYING ALL THE TOWERS AND REST OF YOU WILL BE EATING NON-EXISTING SHIT!
*traps you in existence*
heh...
they got genocided
Lore fag here. I'm open to answering questions if anyone's got any.
>daft patriot
my pp hard now
I can't fucking stand this dude slapping human dicks onto every reptile he draws
humanoid penis > slit/feral
>anthropomorphic animals are so unique and totally not in every second game.
so mannimarco is actually a god? what does "being a god" mean in mundus/nirn anyway
This is immaculate
>TESO finally adding an interesting class
Should I re-download it bros
No, just play the standalone games.
but I already have many times and I'm bored of modding them
Hard to say. I tend to make mixed warrior/magic builds, so I go for either Breton or Altmer depending on how hardcore I want the magic part of that to be. For pure warriors I go Nord, and for stealth I go Bosmer.
Mind you, this is for Oblivion. Race matters less in general in Skyrim so I usually just go for Breton there.
Pic related, my Breton crusader build (pic was taken early-on, she has Pelenal's armor now)
the class system is trash and exploration was a let down
i mean it's an mmo what did you expect
Is Oblivion your favorite?
There's actually a couple Mannimarcos. The Mannimarco you meet in ESO is just a powerful necromancer, he hasn't even become a lich yet much less a god. Mannimarco became a god with the Warp in the West during the events of Daggerfall, which essentially created different timelines. In one timeline Mannimarco ascended to godhood in the proper sense. He became the Necromancer's Moon (in the Elder Scrolls universe planets and moons aren't actually planets and moons, but instead they're basically the bodies of the divines). The Mannimarco in Oblivion is either a fake calling himself Mannimarco for the reputation, or Mannimarco in another timeline where he didn't become a god.
Godhood in TES can mean a lot of different things. As far as TES is concerned, there are no gods, just very powerful beings. The Aedra and Daedra are probably the closest there is to a "god" in the traditional fantasy sense (and this is essential what Mannimarco became), but even they're not actually omnipotent/present/scient. Then there's CHIM which is more in line with the real world idea of "God" and further beyond that is the Amoranth/Godhead which is something else entirely.
iunno :(
It's the one I play the most, and mod the least. I respect some of what Skyrim does, and a lot of what Morrowind does, but I tend to find Oblivion works best for me. That, and the game was basically my only way out of a very dark part of my life when I was growing up, so it has some sentimental value for me.
What's the Amoranth?
Fair enough. I liked a lot of parts from Oblivion. Morrowind will always be my favorite but Oblivion was good fun. If it had a better artstyle and that scaling shit fucked off, it would have been incredible. But it's still plenty good as is. Not to mention the Shivering Isles dlc, that part is great.
I mean, the only game I have trouble fully loving is Skyrim. I mean, it has some parts I love. My jaw hit the floor when I first walked into Blackreach, for example. I'm a sucker for giant mushrooms.
But the lacking guild quests and the way every character plays the same just puts me off. I want to love it, and in a way I kinda like it, but it's so unforgivably watered down. Magic is a fucking snoozefest in that game. Lack of weapon types too. Hell, lack of any character building.
The Godhead is the "dreamer" of the universe, and his dream is reality. The Godhead is like an idiot schizophrenic baby, in love with his creation but utterly without consciousness. An Amaranth is a dreamed-turned-dreamer. They're someone or something from inside the Godhead's dream that became a Godhead themselves and began to dream their own dream. The first step to becoming an Amaranth is achieving CHIM, which is essentially lucid dreaming.
So the Godhead is the original dreamer and an Amoranth is one that spawned out of the original one?
Is that why there's alternate timelines, each one's a different dream? This is all very interesting, thanks for taking the time to explain.
Foreskin is a gift from god, only retards and jews try to take it away.
>So the Godhead is the original dreamer and an Amoranth is one that spawned out of the original one?
Yeah, that's the basics of it. Part of what makes TES lore so interesting is it's not really intended to make sense, so even when you think you understand everything you probably don't, but I think that's the general idea of it.
>Is that why there's alternate timelines, each one's a different dream?
No, that's something else entirely. Linear time as a concept only exists because of the time over soul Aka, who of course exists within the dream. Whenever Aka gets distracted or wounded, he temporarily loses control of time and a Dragon Break occurs, which causes alternate timelines.
Yeah, I tend to find Skyrim fun when it's modded to hell and back, but I can enjoy Morrowind and Oblivion vanilla, though I tend to mod them a little.
Pic related, my vampire lord necromancer. Using Sacrosanct, Ordinator, Undeath and a few other mods I was able to turn her from a wimpy vampire conjurer into a soul-tampering undead army-wielding hemomancer.
did vivec get pregnant when he fucked molag bal cause it says they had offspring and well... vivec is a hermaphrodite
Well everything Vivec says should be taken with a grain of salt, as explained by pic related in but essentially Vivec didn't really get pregnant, but rather he performed some sort of "forbidden ritual" on Molag Bal while a bunch of Velothi and daedra watched and then they all mimicked the ritual on each other, which created these things called "biters" (not really clear on what they actually are, daedra maybe). Vivec then slew these biters with his spear but some of them escaped, which he was forced to hunt down. Pic related is one of these such biters, the Ruddy Man, patron of the Dreugh.
ahahah wait are they called biters cause they also mimicked vivec biting off molag's dick, also thanks for explanation
You're introduced to a female companion pretty much immediately at game start. She guides you through suggestion and directing conversations with other important characters in an attempt to rally you against the aldmeri imperial assembly. Her ultimate goal being the complete removal of imperial influence and culture from hammerfell and the restoration of the ragadan culture and their pantheon. Later on when you're forced to choose between the assembly and peace or hammerfell/her and war you find out she's actually Leki. The "Hero Naming" Goddess of ragadan lore. If you kill her you can choose to become a daedric prince and if you side with her you can romance her or simply ally with her and fully realize your nature as Diagna. The game ends after the final mission like with fallout 3/nv. There's already a 80-85% completed DLC that lets you continue your game after the main questline.
enjoy your spoilers you fucking dogs
