If there's no energy to siphon it will cause random containment rooms across the facility to lose points from their qliphoth counters. operating it with repression puts the counter up to 1(it cannot go higher by repression) and nothing else, operating it any other way fills the counter back up to 5 but every point restored will take a point from another counter somewhere in the facility
the EGO gift is very highly likely to be recieved and makes the employee an incel, causing a massive stat downgrade. unlike other ego gifts, it can stack indefinitely and cannot be replaced.

A day usually goes until Meltdown Level 8 (unless I forget to get the fucking ticket which means it will end a Meltdown Level or two earlier).

It's better to grind early than later, my first try I ran into a dead end with half my Departments being half filled and Levels not high enough to deal with several WAWs and Alephs. This lead to me starting from Day 1 again where I started grinding early on since you have almost no fear of WAWs or Alephs.

Send them all to laetitia and then to magical girl. The cuteness will overload them and they will all explode with stats

put them in the training department and repeatedly work the corresponding stat you want to raise. nothing more.

Send them to WAWs/ALEPHs
Use LOB on the deployment phase

The higher the rank of an abo, the more stats it gives when working on it. Use your safest WAW that gives the stat you want and go nuts.

There is a boss reward that makes every new recruit higher lvl. Other boss rewards also help making reruns smoother

take advantage of abnormalities that have a decent success rate no matter what kind of work you do, or are weak enough that they won't kill your agents. you can figure out how the work types have been shuffled and then start working on the more dangerous stuff. just remember that the work types shuffle again at every meltdown
also, if one or more of your WAW/ALEPHS starts to melt down, send people to work on easier stuff first. for a lot of the harder abnormalities you can't afford to roll the dice and hope you picked the right kind of work

The game only considers your employee "dead" because they no longer exist in the same world as the facility and thus cannot continue their work.

While suppression is preventing an abnormality from doing dangerous or harmful things so....What would that be? Throwing away cans of Wellcheers?

I get the feeling they kidnap employees on a random basis unless they: find someone they 'like' and want to save/send back home, or find someone they 'hate' whom they think will be miserable in their world or something.

In the top left corner of the screen there's a matter that gains a pip every time you finish a work, once it fills a meltdown will occur and a certain number of rooms will gain a red border and timer, you need to work with those that are melting down or there qliphoth counter will hit zero instantly (if applicable) causing their ability to trigger (usually a breach),l and you lose a small amount of energy
You can restart the game from day 1, keeping all gear and upgrades that you got, but losing your employees and abnormalities, it's ok to do this if shit is super fucked
It's usually best to invest in at least one really good employee per department who will do work with your most dangerous shit
