Am I the only one who doesn't get the cinematic meme?
I literally prefer the blood port over this boring ass pos...
THE (((CINEMATIC))) EXPERIENCE

Is this Exodus?
Yep
Metro has always been flashy but shallow. If you want actual gameplay play Stalker.
That's a fucking lie you know the port is broken
Don't go on the internet and spread your lies you boring ass pos
I really liked Metro 2033.
I love stalker I just get annoyed with the constant ctds and save corruption. Thats the only reason why I don't play it anymore.
its a marketing buzzword
when you hear it you know for a fact the game will be:
>30fps or less
>sub 90 fov, usually 65 for maximum vomit
>have DoF/blur/chomaitc effects up the ass to hide the low poly models
>have no replay value
>be poorly written
Metro Exodus looks absolutely amazing to be honest. Honestly felt too life like at times. Games are getting really good at graphics and Exodus seemed to want to hold the highest standard. Haven't seen anything match up.
>inb4 crysis and skyrim
You weren't having fun playing the blood port, you were having artificial fun.

It's ok I fell for this meme port as well. Thought I was having fun until I saw the video.
>tfw the more realistic a video game tries to be the less like a video game it feels
it's so refreshing to play doom after new fps games. it feels like an actual fucking video game.
Agreed 100%
Shadow Warrior 2 was also quite fun.
I loved M2033 and I'm trying to get into Exodus but sadly it's very hand holding and doesn't give you much freedom that I expected from an open world.
Are you talking only about OG doom or the new one?
New doom looks so good that I wonder how it even works with how the game was before being a room to room experience.
The first new wolfenstein reboot was better than the new doom. Fight me
Are you suggesting that crysis 2 does not have the best looking urban environments? Because i cannot think of a game with better city scapes than crysis 2
Some of us prefer atmosphere and narrative in our shooters over autistically cheesing doors, glitches and exploits to survive hitscan enemies just to get through the levels.
I don't expect you to understand; after all, it's scientifically proven autists can't process such notions.
Last Light also looked pretty dope.
I'm autistic enough that I read books when I want a good narrative.
You probably don't read much though, since you didn't understand my blood statement.
>Am I the only one who doesn't get the cinematic meme?
Video game designer was actually an aspiring movie director who had to settle.
>good narrative and vidya are mutually exclusive
>your autistic cancer and vidya however aren't
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Gets the noggin' joggin'
I don't remember when I had as much fun as I had with Dusk. I'm guessing the secret ingredient must be good level design which is very lackluster in modern games. Often it's just a glorified corridor or it is too obviously designed for scripted setpieces like turret placement or cover.
Shit tier strawman argument.
Nothing to respond to.
>atmosphere and narrative
lol
>good narrative and gameplay are NOT mutually exclusive
That was his argument. A straw man is designed to replace an argument.
Yeah, I've only suggested that book narratives>video game narratives. I find it strange to play a shooter for a narrative that's it.
Exodus is a pretty bad example then. The open environments did the AI no favours and you were constantly getting lasered by shotguns from miles away. It made the spartan difficulty unplayable unless you wanted to perfect stealth everything or wall hug the entire game.
