I moved out of a city to a village with awful internet. Had to quit fighting games.

I wasted 3 years of my life playing Gaia Online when I was 14. The saddest part is it was the only escape I had at the time.

World of Warcraft, forced myself to quit weeks before Wrath of the Lich King dropped, simply did not log in one day, didn't say goodbye to guild or anyone. I could see my life going astray thanks to it, that was the only way.

I was addicted to The Sims 2 for a long time until I realized that I was just doing the same stuff in the game over and over again and wasn't feeling any joy from it.

And what happened is the textures of the model broke. Happens when 1) You play on a toaster or 2) You have tons of mods installed and the game goes over the cache limit.

I stopped playing most PvP games, I enjoy mostly co-op PvE or a mix of that and PvP (ie Gambit in Destiny 2)
Splatoon is an exception, it's highly competitive in S+ but the aesthetic and atmosphere makes it feel a lot less stressful than other games

Stopped playing Smash online because I got sick of being paired with people with bullshit rulesets, and arenas take a lot of waiting and it's full of salty hosts who will shut it down when they lose.

I regularly have to take extended breaks from Rainbow Six Siege because I lose and then get tilted and play worse

Invisible Inc. stressed me the fuck out. I finished it and enjoyed it immensely but I think I shaved off a couple of years off my HP from it.

It should have launched much earlier than Forsaken and I think D2 would have been much better received than it currently is. A lot of my friends wouldn't buy forsaken or even give gambit a chance because of the mediocre prior expansions.

I stopped playing Team Fortress 2 because after nearly a thousand hours in it I realised I didn't feel anything when playing it anymore.
