Is the combat in kcd anything like for honor?

Is the combat in kcd anything like for honor?
Been waiting for kcd to drop in price but uninstalled for honor after an hour or two as the combat rubbed me the wrong way.
Also got mordhau at release and had fun for 3-4 hours but don't have any urges to play it anymore, so the entire kcd thing is falling apart.

If you want it because of the whole medieval combat meme then don't bother.
It's one of the few great modern western RPGs, but it's greatness doesn't come from the combat mechanics.

Just worried that the combat is shit, still interested in the world, story and rpg elements.

its fairly different, any decent armour does a lot more to block slashes + fighting multiple enemies gets you raped if you are playing on hard mode until you master blocks and counters, aside from that there are a lot less mobility moves

>waiting for kcd to drop in price
It's a single player game, bro.. Just torrent that shit.

It's also a good game

Can't into burning and mounting stuff but might still give the game a go.

>can't into burning and mounting

my god bro.. You literally just get a virtual drive program. So many. You download the ISO right click mount and then just use the setup exe and install the game and play

how dumb can you be

Where does the greatness come from?

Just all the rpg elements, the world, the graphics, storytelling. It's just a breath of fresh air when all other sandbox rpgs are just skyrim cookie cutters

>out exploring
>meet a couple of bandits and die
>respawn 2-3 hours back because fuck your autosaves

Never played For Honor but KCD has fun if occasionally goofy combat. Even if you hate the combat it's just a portion of a much larger game you can often avoid/easy mode with a stealth/archer build.

Great game though worth supporting, extremely fresh take on the "Elder Scrolls" general format but I do recommend getting the infinite save patch/hack from the start.

Your own fault

>Is the combat in kcd anything like for honor?

yes. But for Honour has three angles and KKD had five.

KKD can be Quite hard at first too but still fun.

*KCD

Is that a steamworks mod or do I have to download it from a russian hacker site?

You suck ass. The game has plenty of opportunies to save your game and you decided to skip them.

Fucking boomers..........

Combat is just fancy, better looking morrowind combat. There's no getting gud just gettin better stats. It's thinly veiled but it pops up when you meet a knight that parries all your attacks no matter what and you just mash the same direction until you get a good dice roll.
>inb4 some retard says nu-uh
Anyway that's not where the strength in this game is. It's the great world, exploration, historical setting and real rpg mechanics and quests. Progression that's tangible and cathartic.

>no getting good
ok bud

found the retard, you were dazzled by smoke and mirrors.

Everything in this game that's not cutscenes is a fucking tedious chore. And then the plot stops halfway through without an actual ending.

Yeah because they are finishing the story with the second game

The second game takes place a hundred years later.

source?

recently reinstalled but lost my save on a different hard drive, bought it on GOG and their cloud save thing seems broken

I just wanna start slaying cumans with dollmaker arrows again instead of all the intro shit
