What went wrong?
What went wrong?
Mega Evolutions are probably the dumbest thing that ever happened in this franchise
mega launcher doesn't affect any stab move stronger than fucking water pulse
if you mean what went wrong with the design, nothing, he looks great
They gave mega-evolution mostly to already powerful/popular pokemon instead of giving it mostly to unpopular/underpowered ones.
Legendaries especially did not need mega evolution.
Also, B2/W2 was the last truly good pokemon. The transition to 3d really did not help the game at all.
youre life lmao
I'm talking about Pokken you stupid fuck
then maybe specify it in the OP you retarded inbred fuck
In that case, nothing. Pokken is fine.
Oh? well nothing went wrong with that game. It's a very servicable spin-off and an actual fighting game with depth (and I mean depth. Did you see the tutorial?). it's actually kind of sad that this game is miles better than most main-line pokemon games of the past couple years.
No it's not, it's janky and boring
You know who actually needed mega evolutions? The regi trio.
2/10
You only get points for not resorting to:
>Baww my favorite poke didn't get in
>YFW your actual favorite got in.
I liked OR I know all the problems it has and how inferior it was to emerald but I did enjoy it
Nah nigga, all four need primal reversions
They Should have reaaaally aded Loupunny on the Switch vercion...
I enjoyed the three last main-line pokemon game on a casual level. And I didn't play let's go Eevee/Pikachu
They were the only Gen 3 legendaries that didn't get any love in ORAS. So they never will. Regigigas has an outside chance with the Gen 4 remakes, but I doubt they'll do anything for it.
>May will never ever corner you with her legs spread wide open
Gen 5 happened.
I now imagine him fisting two coopers so deep he drove them out of their shells.
>implying
Gen 5 was never bad you dumdum
Actual pokken player who goes to locals and has gone to majors here.
Overall, the game is fantastic. There's a lot of playstyle variety in the cast, the balancing is well done, to the point where low tier characters make top 8's at major tournaments with decent frequency, and it's unique mechanics do a lot to make the game more neutral focused and to reward adaption more then a lot of other fighting games.
But there are still a few things that could be better
>Remove light hit armor in burst. I guess it's supposed to make burst mode better for applying pressure but I think most of the scene/community agrees it should go
>Have phase points shown in the UI. A key part of why pokken encourages adaption is by the phase system making it so you need to factor in if you want to shift faster or slower and changing your moves accordingly, so not showing the player how different moves add more or less points to the counter is a mistep
>Make more Counters/Focus attacks unsafe on block. Having a safe armored move, most of which that can lead into a combo takes away from some of the neutral/footsie focus
These are all the things I think the game would really benefit from in it's current incarnation. More major, foundational changes that might be neat to experiment with would be:
>Make field phase retain more mechanics from duel phase. I'm fine with it as is, but it'd be neat if you retained duel phase's full combat complexity. Maybe just make it play like Tekken during it, so just like duel phase but with 3d movement. Might make the rest of the FGC be more into it too.
>Give us more uses for meter. Only having it used for burst as is is still fine, but it'd be fun if we had EX specials or something.
Of course, the actual biggest problem is that TPCI/Nintendo adversted it as casual arenshit and not funding or properly advertising third party events.. They could have had Pokken been smash tier big but they completely squandered it
Is there any more content planned for pokken?
It's impossible to say for sure but it's been a year since blastoise came out, so probably not.
Community is still active though, it's worth picking up if you enjoy fighting games and have a switch. discord.gg/pokken is where all of the resources and players are. Online matchmaking is active as well, though YMMV if there's locals near you or not.
Jesus Christ you're everywhere
His hair is white
He has the black sideburns in that picture though
>wow why is somebody who browses Yea Forums who likes pokken posting in a pokken thread on Yea Forums
Of course Red is the only chad here
One Spider-May please.
If that's the case, what went wrong is that you care about Pokken.
field phase sucks ass. Just make it a regular fighting game FFS
Literally any time pokken is mentioned he appears with massive ass posts
