I wouldn't exactly call it SJW shit but her "development" in the game is incredibly sudden and poorly acted. Story overall in the first is whole new levels of bad, but the characterization of lara herself is just the worst. Made it really hard for me to take anything seriously let alone just like the titular character.
Gameplay wise, it's a cookie cutter third person cover shooter. It's servicable combat but really out of place in a game about supposedly raiding tombs, and at times you'll stop and think if you're playing some kind of cancelled rambo prototype game or something.
I would mention all the skill trees, upgrading and crafting but they're so uninteresting and again just seemed tacked on because that kind of shit was just in at the time, same for the XP bonuses and shit you get on kills.
I know it sounds like a broken record at this point but I would say avoid wasting your time with this game, its aged very poorly and was clearly an attempt to capitalize on mechanics from other more popular games in 2013, namely far cry/assassins creed. Just play legend or anniversary.

Shadow had really cool action/stealth areas and murder funtimes felt a bit more savage but the story was stupid and the platforming and puzzles felt a bit more boring imo
