Hey I'm not a Fire Emblem fag but from the outside looking in Three Houses looks really bad. Every time Nintendo has shows the game off I expect some sort of improvement but it really just looks awful. Not up to snuff with their other flagship series for sure. The 3DS titles looked better, in my opinion. Even the character designs for this game look like a step down from the previous titles.

The Gameboy titles looked better, I love the series but I think this one is going to do great but cause the next one to sell like shit.

And despite the hate here, it gets a lot of praise just for largely having more conservative character designs. It is favorably compared to Fates, and more specifically Camilla of course, on the usual suspects.

As a fan of the older games, the only thing I really liked about the modern ones is the art and some chara designs. I hope that the fact that this new one has awful art with a few exceptions means the gameplay is going to be exceptional.

I think it's almost objective that the designs for Three Houses look like cheap fanart made by some western dude trying to copy what he believes a "japanese cartoon" is.

I don't know why people suck off the older ones so much, and lets be real, nobody played pre-GBA here. Lyn's chapters are the worst experience in all of FE for me. Almost dropped the game because of them.
