DPPt. I'm including them all because I have the fondest memories with both the first versions and Platinum. A lot of my favorites came from it, it estabilished my first true dream team, it had amazing music, a very fun adventure overall, Snowpoint City is my favorite town and the myths and lore were incredibly interesting and made me headcanon like crazy. Talking about competitive it also had by far the best one of all the series, it was just so much fun, and having online made me meet so much people with who I could trade and fight.

I'm damn sure a remake by nu-GF won't make it justice at all.

Yall gotta admit Black and white were a step in the right direction visually, narratively, and competitively. The spritework looks fantastic, and the world pushed the ds to it's limit. The story is recognized as the best in the series having some of the best and most memorable characters. Lastly, The dream world allowed a shiiiit load of new pokemon to actually be good that were previously shit tier giving them new hidden abilities. Plus the overall power creep overload we got in gen 6-7 for the most part wasn't really present. minus blaziken being dummy overpowered and weather effects being very strong.

the slowness probably isnt apparent to someone who is playing it as their first game as opposed to all the people who came from 3 which is the fastest if not the fastest generation in the series

Gen 1 is garbage. gen 2 is actually just a gen 1 hd remaster with more content(Todays standards atleast) I played and beat the gen 1 games several times, there are really no redeeming qualities about them except they popularized the series.

heartgold is great, but it makes some bizarre changes, and theres a huge level cliff right before the E4. Firered/LG is great, but the addition of abilities just makes battles more tedious because you have to sit through intimidate or sunny day or some other bullshit when you just want to run or do a quick battle. And I like the gltiches in R/B, theyre unintentional, but they add somethin to the game. And theres grea spritework between the first two gens, and the designs are simple but realistic instead of the shitty ones we have nowadays

You know they will literally not do that. The first one because they don't know how to make a game interesting, and they think the only way of making it so is making it so it's basically a giant cutscene, and the second because of time constraints and how long it takes to model even a single Pokémon, which is why gens 6 and 7 have had little new ones.
