Any time you have a "greatest anything of all time" list you have to consider the viewpoint of the person writing it- is it still high-quality by today's standards, or is it weighted based on its influence in the industry? I think FFVII is a fantastic game, but unless we're factoring in how it set the bar for games in the fifth generation of consoles and defined JRPGs in the public eye, I don't think it deserves the spot.

Let me guess, the top X list is gonna have FF7. Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Shadow of the Colossus. EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.
