Because based nips know that owning something digitally isn’t owning anything at all

Jap here, we still use Windows XP unironically so...yeah.

burger here, im still using Windows 7

Japanese are still very much all-about physical products. It's one of the few markets where CD and physical movie sales never declined with the rise of the internet.

This, only an idiot would go digital only willingly.

can u buy those big dolls?

Well they should stop wanting physical copies and switch to exclusively paying for digital like based Gabe wants. Don't they know the devs get more money from digital? You gotta support the developer! On top of that, being connected to a digital distribution platform allows for awesome things like rampant DLC and mtx, games to be intentionally released unfinished or unplayable without a patch, is extremely expensive since paying for digital is nothing more than a glorified donation which is great because it lets the devs get more money for less effort, the devs don't have to put any effort or money into making physical copies, makes games worse because the easy access makes non-gamers who wouldn't play games without easy access start playing games which makes them the target audience, and a whole lot more!

Just look at yahoo japanese site for how much they don't care to change what ain't broke.

Tell me about Poppin' Party

Japs don't post on Yea Forums, I don't believe you.

Yup, if it can be done physical, always get physical. You own it, can resell it. Sure, you sacrifice a tiny bit of convenience for having to switch disks and store them, but it's worth it.

It's beautiful.

Also is Mixi still bigger than Facebook there? I remember that MySpace was never actually to conquer Japan in the mid-00s.

Attached: Yahoo.jpg (954x789, 262K)

>unironically
They also don't use words with that many Ls and Rs,

Japs can post on Yea Forums but 4channers can't post on Japanese Yea Forums aka 2chan.

bandori.fandom.com/wiki/Poppin'Party

A Japanese Yea Forums user could post on 2chan so you're wrong.

They realize digital only products aren't worth a dime (or yen in this case, I guess.)

Physical games will always be superior in my eyes. I wish I felt the same way about music though.

Pretty solid band in Bang Dream. More of a pop-rock to standard rock sound where their guitars always have presence unlike current trends in rock music where the guitars are dulled down so far you question if there's even a guitarist in the first place.

>mfw they had these on the 2nd floor for a while but then they just put them right fucking outside
Gamers is one of the first stores you see when you exit Akihabara station, Japs give no fucks.

Best part is when yahoo japan tried to update people threw such a fit they changed it back.
But I haven't tinkered on jap sites for a long while. I remember some other social media shit taking off a bit there, friendster maybe?

I don't see the problem. I wish Japan and the video game "journalism" there would push for an anti-digital movement. I bet Gabe Newell hates Japan because of pic related

Attached: 1537598390852.jpg (835x676, 217K)

Japanese bugmen are in such a sad state that when they get home from their sixteen hour shifts they want to be surrounded by a bunch of gay anime shit to take the pain away for a bit. Anime is literally a drug.

Not anymore, Facebook is bigger now in term of active user base.

>Get 2nd best store bonuses for LEs
>give 0 fucks
>Clearly know their audience
If Ebiten didn't exist Gamers would be the best store in Akiba. Prove me wrong.
You can't

>Best part is when yahoo japan tried to update people threw such a fit they changed it back.
Good, the minimalist fad in web design is cancer. harrys.com/en/us is a good example of what I'm talking about, minimalist in appearance yet bloated as fuck, kinda like how all new PC cases are minimalist in appearance AND functionality
>"h-h-how dare those Japs want something in return for their money"

Gamers is pretty tame compared to actual sex shop which are just in front of the station as well, nips never gave a fuck about that.

because they don't have as much an overhead for distribution compared to say literally anywhere on the fucking planet other then Hawaii

>entertainment is a drug
>enjoying life with hobbies is a drug

I'd say it's the fact they get fucking wasted at izakaya all the time, nig. So many people rely in alcohol and there seem to be even more smokers over there.

Japan still being heavy smokers is one of my favorite cultural anachronisms. They're largely mindful of waste and efficiency but still smoke like chimneys and generate a shitload of vending machine wastes.

Not him, but lots of Japs learn English as their secondary language. It'll be much easier for them to post here. It's not as "typical" for Americans to post on 2chan

Shame, I kind of liked it that they were one of the few countries holding out against American social networking sites in favour of their own.

>Japan being heavy smokers
That's how you can tell american posting. They smoke no more than your average EU country. Also smoking is mostly a male thing in Japan which overall makes things better compared to EU where woman smoke almost just as much as male.

Attached: 1556166215087.png (798x1075, 254K)

I know. I'm pretty sure you need a VPN/proxy located in Japan and obviously some moon rune capabilities. I like to go look at the pretty pictures but I haven't ever tried posting.

I blame mobile "optimization". It's real easy to thumb down that page and aimlessly tap an icon than it is to use your scroll wheel through it.
Some sites it even feels like they're wanting to hide functions, typically things like "end subscription" etc.

>show me an infographic that shows their men smoking like chimneys

you think I give a shit that their women don't or something?

As long as you aren't paying for digitally distributed music then you're alright

As long as the ability to use the thing you bought cannot be revoked at some point, buying it digitally is a fair choice. Obviously, a physical real thing is superior if it can't deteriorate to the point of not being usable easily.

there is nothing more cucked than having a steam library

>thinking buying a cheap plastic circle with holes that can be read as data is any different from paying permission to download digitally
Retards.

I buy digital almost always nowadays. I used to be a physicalfag but I've just run out of space. Don't have any more room to store shit. I actually have boxes in my room full of game shit that I can't put anywhere.

There's a nip guy who uses Yea Forums to learn english.

>buy plastic hole
>finish
>sell plastic hole
>lose 0 money

WOW HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT DID THAT

Weird I’m from Georgia and I post on 2chan all the time.
Most burgers can’t read nip therefore don’t bother

physical is great when internet gets knocked out.

Attached: 1535945901631.jpg (600x900, 83K)

>muh money
Stop being poor, if selling back your shit to cheap people is the only reason you buy physical, you are a retard.

And?
It’s much better for you than drinking and smoking you’re life away because you’re culture rewards shyness

>remembering my japanese textbook's drawing that had a dude with like 50 cigs in an ashtray lighting another one

It is. I usually go on Yahoo auction to buy some high-end Japanese/euro clothing for cheap.

What's the point of living if all you do is stare at moeshit after a soulbreaking workday?

is there a way to get this mailed to an apartment... just wondering?

You know how I know you have never worked a day in your life? You spend enough money on videogames and you have enough time to rush them, that you think selling them back actually saves you money. I buy 1 or 2 games every year and I still have a backlog.

Japan is such a weird fucking country. It sells HEAVILY in the anime and manga department, but the moment you are 18, you are expected to drop it and focus on your business oriented lifestyle.
Yuta is pretty based as fuck, I recommend his videos on getting an insight on japan youtube.com/user/YPlusShow

That’s unironically what happens over there.
My time in Japan was very eye opening
2 things I will take to the grave
1. Maid cafes need to be a globalized thing
2. I regret not getting that Yakuza half sleeve before I left

Is that why they blow all their money on JPEG waifus to look at on their cellphones?

Well you could kill yourself but that’s pretty boring.
Getting married is definitely worse than killing yourself because you’ll still be both depressed and broke.

Or find another hobby other than obsessing over little 2D girls.

>follow Japanese people on instagram
>they like to post physical CDs and magazines they bought that day
It's great.

None of those assumptions are correct user, to be completely honest.
I just sell stuff I don't need because otherwise I'd throw it away. It's also easy if you're not a lazy fuck who can't even get off his ass to play a game.

>not playing videogames means you are lazy
What sort of backwards word do you live in? How many games do you finish each month user?

Attached: 1523593270373.png (640x478, 431K)

>1. Maid cafes need to be a globalized thing
I remember my city tried to do a maid cafe and it fell apart because the only girls that wanted to do it weren't cute

Oh hey, I have two of these small ones. Wish I could buy the big ones.

It's like that at very specific locations, that's the difference with Japan, all smoking is concentrated to specific places and within a specific demographic hence why it always looks "heavy" even if number don't show that. Unlike in Europe where you just see people smoking everywhere outside. Also smoking decreased a LOT in Japan in the past 20 years.

> but the moment you are 18, you are expected to drop it and focus on your business oriented lifestyle.
That was in the past, things are changing. The younger generation in Japan care less and less about 'business oriented lifestyle" just like woman care less and less about getting married etc. Also job for life is a thing from the past, you don't dedicate your entire life to the same company like your dad did, the work market itself is westernizing itself slowly but surely with higher turnover rate within companies, employees being more concerned about their comfort and work/lifestyle balance than just their status etc. Yes it's still Japan but things are really shifting.

You're telling me the place with a huge population stuffed into a tiny island actually likes buying bulky physical products instead of digital products that they themselves excel at making?

Nothing past 7th gen is worth owning physical. A lot of the times the game isn't even on the damn disc. You only own a game if you buy them DRM-free or pirate on PC.

Yes. They're also giant fiends for merch.

Attached: 21169225_10213925757958126_156730040_o.jpg (1337x891, 177K)

Fucking sucks living in America if you want any sort of merch that isn't capeshit, Nintendo is still too backwards to make more than one Nintendo store here.

I follow a good amount of Japanese artists. I came across this one account which is run by a husband/father. He just post drawings by his daughter and wife. It's oddly cute .

its just onaholes with cardboard attached to them
so yes

They're giant fiends for anything "limited" and it's easier to create scarcity with physical items than digital goods which can be duplicated infinitely. Everything in Japan has to be limited, not only entertainment but even konbini food and drinks constantly rotate with new things popping out every month and disappearing soon after. It's always NEW, you always need to buy it NOW or it'll be gone. The same happen with all the otaku shit, buying physical either get you access to merch that are limited, or some form of lottery to attend an event etc. Scarcity enables them to jack up prices.

>Fucking sucks living in America
Sucks to be poor... We're in 2019 it's easier than ever to import whatever you want from Japan. Shipping isn't even that expensive provided you don't mind waiting couple weeks. The only things that sucks is attending events, but physical goods? Just ship them to your door. As for limited physical goods you'd struggle exactly the same way if you were in Japan anyway.

What would I type into google to find a seller?

Attached: 01.jpg (1280x1799, 215K)

"onaholes with legs"

>implying it's a matter of being poor
I like to be able to look my shit over for physical defects before I buy it instead of hoping QC didn't shit the bed.

AmiAmi sells them, it's a phone stand.

I just came back from Japan (pic related). It blows my mind how much better things are there than in America. I am aware there are multiple factors as to why you cannot transplant Japan into America; size (both land and fat/tall people), general polite and passive personality, not putting the individual first and focusing on the group, superior infrastructure, government being a force for good and helping people, etc. All stuff that will never happen in America.

They know how to maximize their space, Example, look up Don Quijote (Its a target, walmart type store) and then keep in mind the average aisle size is only half what you see in the picture results. Or the fact that they will stack 8 stores on top of each other, and have multiple small stores share the same floor of a small building. Or most of their streets are just a little larger than an American alley.
I have a feeling if you dropped a 100 American drivers in any Japanese city, at least one of them will run someone over within 5 minutes.

Attached: Untitled.jpg (5109x2758, 2.83M)

That's a shitty excuse, most proxy services offer basic QC to make sure that what you ordered wasn't broken. Also we're talking about Japan, QC issues are way less frequent there than in America. Stuff is usually really well packaged. As for the quality of the item itself, sure you'll have to rely on reviews and comment or just whatever photos you can find on social media etc. But that's the same issue when ordering anywhere.

I ordered tons of shit over 15+ years, never had a single thing broken coming from Japan, hell even people on Yahoo Auction are always extremely careful with packaging and even go as far as adding small written notes or extra gift and shit into the package.

Thanks

>nhentai

Attached: 1557708471710.jpg (1920x1080, 290K)

>It's NOT broken
Different user. I'm a huge buyfag who's gone to Japan multiple times, there's a difference between making sure shit isn't broken and looking at them in person and inspecting minor differences between each figure if they have multiple cases.

If you need an American example, next time you go to store that has Amiibo, compare each of the same character to each other. You'll see minute differences.

>even go as far as adding small written notes or extra gift and shit into the package
Oh gosh I love when they do that. One seller even gave me a photo of him. Another threw in a $4 candy toy. Also noticed 'used' quality there is like 'I breathed on it once' tier quality.

>registering for porn sites

You wouldn't be able to do that in Japan as well in most stores. Many items on display aren't items being handed to you unless it's second hand obviously or small as shelves space isn't unlimited. There are lot of figures where only part of the front can be seen from the box too. If you make an order on Yahoo auction then you can easily ask the seller to provide you with more photos if needs be. You are just really nitpicking, even in Japan nobody care and people just mail order their crap constantly with no mean of properly comparing several batch of the same item.

>Also noticed 'used' quality there is like 'I breathed on it once' tier quality.
Yeah I love that, "used" in Japan often mean just taken out of the box and barely touched it. Even items with a B- rating are immaculate. And they also mention when an item is coming from a smoking home.

You just have to ask and be polite, some stores don't do it, but some do. Also if you do get into the used market, it's extremely important since Amiami's rating system has really spoiled people on used merchandise, even Amiami's physical stores.

Also used just means it was bought, and damaged box means it was handled even once. Doesn't even have to be opened.

>A lot of the times the game isn't even on the damn disc
You can literally count on two hands the number of PS4 games that aren't fully playable from the disc alone with no internet connection. And they're all AAA western trash

Literally living the dream

Shipping manga costs me like 30-40usd

This is peak truth. This is truth in its purest form.

Attached: 1557620151958.gif (297x210, 1.8M)

i saw this same pic last week on a different thread, good try though

That physical product you own is gonna get worn out sooner or later.

I'll call your bluff, use the archive and post the thread you 'claim' it came from.
If you cannot, you're exposed as a liar.

And digital vanishes overnight.

bamboozled

>Linking to yourself
Exposed and stay mad you'll never see Detective Pikachu in it's native Japanese in a movie theater.

Yes, I had two before I moved states from texas to california

I accept your surrender.

>idolshit
Never mind I thought it was like some sick porn game or something

>English teacher larping are Japanese again
Stop. Even most 2ch & 5ch users have no idea this site exists. Japanese don't post here ever.

because they need to have shelves filled with stuff. First they buy all the shit they can just to fill in the empty spaces, after that they start to curate for quality.

Yeah and so does digital. That stuff gets stored somewhere. Sure you can trasnfer things over and over, but someday whatever it is stored on gets broken/worn out. Same for physical. If you take care of the games and discs then it won't be that big of an issue though. Always will pick physical any time of day even if costs more. Digital is good for back-up and emulation.

you can fool everyone but yourself buddy. I do remember this pic and its gotta be one hell of a coincidence if you aint lying

>waste my time in the archives
It's literally one click, retard.

Stay mad you got exposed friendo.
No proof, no claim.

Americans work more hours a year than Japanese do, this antiquated overworked meme has to stop.

Attached: 05E66078-8A93-4411-A188-AE6970857AB1.jpg (804x1024, 150K)

Unilonicarry.

>Americans work more than the Japanese
>Get less money and benefits the Japanese
As expected.

Its the best version of windows.

Because digitally you don’t own anything at all. You have a revocable license. Only pirates actually own something digitally.

Gross, who's gonna want to buy my used onahole?

Korea is facing a national crisis

the japanese work so much overtime is because they're expert slackers. they watch the clock and goof off and only do work/look busy when their superiors are within sight.

if you're an employee who slacks off but sticks around after hours, you will be regarded much better than an employee who does all their work but leaves when work's over.

When are they going to make a digital onahole first?

Yep. Korea basically is the meme that people make Japan out to be, things aren’t great for Japan either but Korea is way worse off.

I wonder how it feels going into one of these stores or working in them. must be awkward as FUCK.

Nah, they're super professional and helpful in helping you find what you're looking for as long as you're polite and not clearly being a troll. They do appreciate you looking for it for yourself first before asking though.

my Korean friend was saying Korea was hijacked by feminist and communist, and it's so horrific

Only western games do this
