The only attacks with better range on Ryu are heavy forward tilt, focus attack, and forward smash, and even those are only longer by about a fist. Ken's neutral air, AKA one of your most important tools has practically x4 the range and his shoryuken has a noticeable amount of forward movement that increases its effective range.
Losing shakunetsu sucks but in exchange for losing a projectile that becomes useless against any zoner/anti-zoner you get two stupidly good roundhouses, a tatsu that's good for extending combos, a DP that's actually usable as an anti-air due to the damage output never degrading and the lack of a sourspot, and aerial medium DP which is one of the best kill options in the entire game. That's not even mentioning the increased movespeed actually letting you reliably keep up with those squirrely little faggots who try to run away for entire matches.
Honestly, the biggest loss from Ryu to Ken is collarbone breaker, but it's negligible compared to the advantages.

There are two basic types of command grabs, lunging and rooted.
Lunging command grabs tend to actually have kind of shit frames, any form of disjoint will beat it out. This includes the likes of Ganon, Rifley, and Incineroar.
Rooted command grabs, like Wario, Kirby, or Bowser tend to have much stronger frames, though are still beatable with good disjoints. However, their flaw is that they tend to have a lot of endlag. Just jump and attack them from above.

Ganondorf, Wario and Falcon, I get why you see it. Ganondorf doesn't take much skill, Falcon has the meme punch, Wario has the meme fart. Dedede, though? Why? He actually takes skill to use. Those montages DDD's make where they do the same shield break combo isn't very creative/original, but it's a lot more technical than whatever the other 3 do.

Nah, Gordo spam goes from "pretty good" to "excellent" online and all the DDDs I've played follow the flowchart of "throw gordo, hold B so even if you hit it back, it comes back again". DDD is also super heavy so he'll be living to 150% plus just spamming gordos and recovering with super armor and only needs to land one back air to kill you while you have to work really hard to kill him. He probably benefits the hardest off of wifi lag out of anyone except Ganon which is why he's common online but a ghost in actual tournies.

I would assume that GSP ranges and regional tastes are what causes the differences. Highly doubt the matchmaking looks at matchups
But the default GSP rises depending on how you do with other characters until you play them, My Ridley, Dedede, and Ganon are around the same due to me playing them frequently.
