Once you get good at Tekken movement it's really hard to enjoy the constant stopping required in SC (or any block button game for that matter). It feels so restrictive having defensive tools so separated from each other.

There is a much larger difference between the two systems than you realize. It's okay to like the Calibur games (2 is one of my favorite games of all time, come see my Voldo on Dolphin if you're US West) but to pretend that the only thing separating the two movement systems is mechanical difficulty just shows that you don't really understand Tekken.
Tekken movement allows for much more expression from the player than Calibur movement does.

Tekken has steadily been decreasing in sales. Tekken 6 sold more than Tekken 7. Tag 2 almost put the series on hiatus, which was the reason Tekken 7 had noticeably less funding put in to it.

The only reason why Tekken is alive is because it's the only real 3D fighter left. If MK never went back to 2D from the 3D era, Tekken would be dead.

I think SC has easier sidestepping. The fact that you don't need to double press anything like in Tekken, you just hold the directional buttons to keep moving makes it much easier execution-wise.

It's just easier to move around in SC. If you press and hold down in Tekken, you sit down. In SC you walk right. If you want to sit down in SC, you can do it while holding block or you can transition into sitting after certain moves.

It's not even about Tekken. Mike Ross is a turncoat who pushed the esports shit to the FGC and look where that got him.
