It was easy for Rosalina being only in Mario Galaxy because there are more instances available to her to join a roster like Mario Kart, Tennis, etc.

paper mario was my first and i visited smrpg way later in life. finding out that paper mario was originally going to be smrpg2 broke my heart, but in a way, i'm glad we got paper mario instead. we still need smrpg2 to happen one day, though.

Fuck Smash and what it does to certain series/characters, the real victory is getting Geno back in Mario, even if it's just a sequel disconnected from the main games. How'd Square get the rights to him anyway?

I hear you. I feel they think that people should like what they want them to and not what they personally like. It's like with a character they try to promote and shill and everyone votes for him in popularity contests. Anything that goes against that is against their agenda in terms of who they want to push. I imagine Sakurai was surprised with the characters people voted for (Not the stupid shit like Goku and Shrek) and probably made the spirit bullshit to try to please everyone. Thankfully a good amount of people weren't down for it.
But back to SMRPG, I really didn't use Geno too much but I did like Bowser's weaponry, especially the lone female chomp he found in Booster's Tower.
