wow already this mad

>feeling this threatened by a Fisher Price tablet

The absolute state of Soñyggers

didnt even win its own generation lol

>still has the best version of ZombiU
user, its generation is this generation. People who say that the Switch is an eighth generation console are wrong, by the way

The only prize it won was the Sega Saturn Award.

is xenoblade chronicles x worth playing? I haven't touched anything else from the series.

the wii u was never apart of any generation

Don't bother playing any Xeno games. They're all irredeemable dumpsterfires.

It's really slow to start until you get your mech but if you like really large RPGs with a ton of shit to do, go for it. Or on second thought, wait till it gets ported to Switch

>sell your consoles at a loss
>call it a win

At least the console had soul

I liked it but there's like 4 games left to port to the Switch before it's essentially worthless

>wait till it gets ported to Switch
not picking up a switch before new iSwitch+ is released
I'll try it with my hopes set lowly, since it's free.

The Wii U doesn't even compete

Iwata didn't die for this.

The first one really is not and is actually really excellent. The X and 2 are more debatable depending on how much you like Mecha and anime games respectively.

Play Xenoblade 1 on dolphin, try it with good resolution, and maybe a texture edit that fixes the faces. It's real good shit

This. Great emulation machine too. Playing SNES games on the tablet in bed is comfy AF

>great library of games, tho small
>custom blu-ray media has rounded edges, feels comfy
>uses all wii controllers, video cables, and sensor bars
>can do HDMI video while using composite audio
>backwards compatible with a virtual Wii inside
>virtual wii is hackable just like Wii
>can play from NES to Wii U games
>game pad is wireless and comfy
>had a great browser at the time (security certificate updates have made it bad)
>controllers have the PROPER stick placement for video games
>uses less power than Wii
>does 1080p + 480p video, that's way more than xbone and ps4
>very quiet fan, keeps discs cool after many hours of gayming
>it's library consists of games so good that they ported them to Switch and 3DS so they wouldn't be forgotten on Wii U

Clear winner of 8th gen.

9th gen is currently just the Switch.

The Wii U is a healthy reminder to Nintendofags that their precious company can fuck up and lose.

Yes. It can get addictive just exploring the outside world. It's an open world game that actually focuses on its open world. And once you get a skell it just opens up even more of the world because of how damn high those things can jump.

The Wii U started 8th gen, zoomer.

Why did this console have the worst UI ever seen on a gaming device before? Why the fuck do I need to use a tablet with a 20 minute battery life to connect to an internet connection when I had a perfectly working pro controller?

The Wii U is legit better than the Switch for me, and I wish it had been more popular so it'd get the same support. With my lifestyle, I don't particularly care about taking the Switch around with me - to me, "portable" means "you can take it to your room when your roommate is being annoying". But the TV plugin part is really shitty compared to the Wii U. As a guy who'd been using the Wii U for like six years by the time he'd gotten a Switch, there's SUCH a huge difference.

The gamepad is a remote. The gamepad turns on everything. It turns on the console, it turns on the TV, it controls the volume, there's a quick menu, it's fucking ridiculous. When I want to play a game or watch Netflix on the TV, I pick up the Gamepad and everything's set up in seconds. The Switch doesn't even HAVE Netflix.

The gamepad doesn't have to be fucking docked to let me do TV mode, and I don't have to take off the fucking sides of the gamepad to play TV mode. Going from handheld to the TV with the gamepad is "press TV button, press power button". Going from handheld to TV on the Switch is "stand up, walk over to dock, put in switch, take off joycons, grab remote, turn on TV, walk back to couch, lie down".

The dock is super fucking inconvenient. Unless I buy a spare AC adapter, then every single time I want to charge the Switch, I have to dock it or unplug the cable from the dock first, and the cable in the Switch goes in in a really retarded way. The Wii U's Virtual Console selection is WAY better, including Wii and DS games. The Wii U is FAR more comfortable to hold than the Switch's completely flat back. The Wii U's triggers are better. The Wii U has a stylus.

In general, the Wii U just FITS into your fucking life. It is as unintrusive and unassuming as possible. When I play the Wii U, it feels like it is obeying my wishes. When I play the Switch, I feel like I'm being forced into the lifestyle it demands from me.

don't forget the "better console than the switch" award.

This, once a few more Wii U games get put on Switch it'll just be my Wii machine or what I use to play any non ported ones

>Wii U
>nonintrusive

Do you own any other machine from this gen? Even Switch let's you use any controller for the system menu. Wii U is just a bunch of Nintendo-y ideas slapped together with no symmetry between.

That's what Nintendo was trying to do. Instead of another shitty black PC box they wanted something that would fit in with your life style.

>mfw playing wii u on game pad and using it to turn on the TV and change the channel for someone else while my game is still on the gamepad

Comfeeee.

Nah.
360 > PS3 > Wii U > Wii
And in the handheld spot
DS > PSP > N-Gage

are you 16 years old and a subscriber to a couple of youtube tech channels?

The Sega Saturn was a genuinely good console though

My GamePad broke. R and down don't work, and the touchscreen has a small imperfection that affects the center.
