It's worrying to me that objectively, the Switch is a much better indie machine than it is a first-party machine. I think the people that rejoice indies and the Switch's portability so much are kinda fucked in the head, because that's basically dooming it for failure, but whatever. If Nintendo plays their cards right, they could release a big from June till November. We'll see.
Sony's censorship is a much bigger deal in Yea Forums, what with the weebs, incels, and beta cucks, than it is anywhere else. I still don't understand why the guy at Marvelous working on SK8 left, instead of working out a partnership with Nintendo to develop the titty games he wanted to develop. But yeah, I honestly don't see normies caring too much about censorship, Sony had the upperhand this gen in terms of exclusives and multiplats everyone wants to play, and it still manages to have little cult hits like Gravity Rush 2 or The Last Guardian to appease everyone. Plus, Sony didn't have the balls indefinitely censor a game like DMCV in the States, so maybe with enough pressure they'll crack. Sony Japan will realize that getting shit from their most prominent and, let's face it, favorite devs is a bad move, they realize they pretty much had a monopoly of titty games (Underage Panty Quest), and will see that it is dumb that Americans with little to no understanding, or desire to understand, of their culture are running their company. Or they'll be super successful, and double down on censorship going so far as to not censor anything anymore, and simply make devs omit the content altogether if they want a platform for their game. I want the former outcome rather than the latter.

Xbox will probably not have a console next generation. Microsoft is moving Xbox away from consoles and towards a purely internet-based gaming service (Game Pass). Microsoft figures this is more profitable for the Xbox brand since there is less overhead: no physical items produced so no manufacturing costs and shipping costs, also no need for exclusives so developers can be sold off. Hence why there is a major lack of exclusives on Xbox, why Xbox Live is coming to mobile and Switch and why the next Xbox One model has no disc drive. I'm not sure who will "win" the next generation, but I am sure that brick and mortar stores will lose as gaming becomes increasingly digital (surprised GameStop hasn't died already to be honest).
