So like... who's your favorite final boss
Gehrman is not the final boss, Moon Presence of Mergo's Wet Nurse is.
Gehrman because of the music alone
youtube.com
Well she didn't fit the trend so you get these four instead
If you didn't have to fight genichiro for phase one iishin would be the best fight.
genichiro is a fucking joke by then you literally fought him like 9 times
Where's Nashandra?
10 feet deep in your asshole faggot. These are the most popular Miyazaki directed games only.
Ok.
Isshin easily. Gehrman is a fucking joke, Gwyn dies in 3 parries (1 if you're a dark bead rtsr fag) and Cinder is almost as easy as Gehrman. Isshin you literally cannot cheese, you have to actually outplay him.
Not really. Gehrman is a final boss in one of the endings.
Why are you judging the quality of a fight by difficulty alone
> Isshin you literally cannot cheese
someone post the webm
???
DS2 is a multiplat, it's objectively more popular than Bloodborne, and had a much larger playerbase than Sekiro has
Do you judge it on how pretty the moon is or something? Or what the noises in the background sound like? Fucking casual.
The webm of a highly skilled play perfectly deflecting every attack and counterattacking accordingly?
Gehrman is complete ass
Gwyn is a total joke if you have any poise or know how to parry
Nashandra is just kinda boring
Soul of Cinder is a decently fun boss, but pretty flavorless and bland
Isshin is actually really cool
we've all finished the game
sekiro, just like every other souls game isn't hard, and the honeymoon phase of Yea Forumsermin squealing over the difficulty has passed over
bosses should be given merit based around other defining attributes too, other than pure difficulty
>all these weebs
Go fuck yourself and your japanese game
>Gehrchad
>"total ass" they said
>"a fucking joke" they said
Thematically? Gwyn
Gameplay-wise? Gehrman
Gwyn and Gehrman is best
Ultimately Soul of Cinder is just very uninteresting and generic feeling, and while Isshin is much cooler than Soul of Cinder I think he's kind of out of nowhere. I don't like the plot with the Black Fushigiri can open a gate to the underworld but what it really means is that it can bring back dead people at their absolute peak so yeah you get Isshin.
To me the game felt cut short, it's like a whole different part of the game remained and Genichiro would use Open Gate (black Fushigiri) to connect the underworld to the human world and it would've gone full on folklore and you would have to journey into the underworld and chase after a Genichiro who is becoming increasingly more corrupted while you try to stave off the influence of Shura because you're in a horrific japanese hellscape.
>Gehram's shitty textures
Great game snoys lmao
Gwyn was the most defining moment of them. An entire game of build up to reveal a husk of what he used to be with some of the best music in the franchise accompanying the moment.
You are aware that if Nashandra was included, she would always be at the bottom, right? Not even "bottom tier, but a good bottom tier" more like "bottom tier, aka the shit tier"
Gwyn is definitely the most kino.
>behold as I stand still and cast hexes
In the trash where she belongs
Honestly I thought the same thing looking for a good image of him everything was super fucking blurry with no sharpness to it and that was the best image I could find.
Console exclusives were actually a mistake.
Black Mortal Blade definitely does feel like it was supposed to be a bigger thing in general--do we know how long From was working on the game for? Could it be a case like DS3 where Activiaion rushed them too hard to release in barely a year?
holy fuck
seethin'
I thought the Gehrman fight was cool and pretty to look at, but the iishin fight is better mechanically.
11 votes, stop the presses lads this user just got blown the btfo.
I'm trying to remember who the DS2 boss was
Nothing comes to mind wtf
I would vote for her. Maybe you incels are just afraid of Chadshandra.
Um, theres other merits to bosses than gameplay mechanics ok? Ugh.
the fact that gehrman is that high up made me lose a lot of faith on this board, its without a doubt one of the most disappointing fights in the game
At least True King Allant has the in-lore excuse to be a shit boss, what excuse does Nashandra have to be as boring as she is?
>at least 11 people on Yea Forums like mindless buttonmashers
Whoa, color me shocked
New poll for non-faggots.
>leaving aldia out
cringe
yikes
and bluepilled
Isshin is objectively the best fight, both mechanically and for the character himself, in a free-4-all he can easily destroy the other three fags.
lmao killed german on my second try can't even remember his attacks he is piss ez pez lem squez
That's not the real Allant, the real Allant is a slug thing and the true final boss. .
They should have respawned the 2 guardians before Nashandra every time. She works better as an desperate fight.
I'm too casual to have reached any of these despite playing all of the games
I'm fully aware, but he's basically the last real fight in the game. I don't even know why you're spoiler tagging this shit, everyone here who gives a shit about Demon's Souls already knows that False King Allant isn't the real one (it's int he fucking name) and that the real one is a shitty blob monster.
>in a free-4-all he can easily destroy the other three fags.
Kek, Gehrman and Soul of Cinder would fuck him. Gwyn would only lose because he's just some hollow fucker with a big sword that can't even cast miracles anymore.
>tfw you get this with XCOM and XCOM 2 WOTC
I mean, I drained all the fun from Xcom 1 on hard(the true difficulty) because my ironman attempts kept failing. I did Ironman on normal though. I'm doing better in xcom 2 on normal, and in Ironman mode, I took down The hunter . Hopefully I can do this shit.
I suspect I'll fuck up with XCOM 3
Just level up strength and endurance, use heavy armor and a big weapon
There, you beat Dark Souls 1
>gehrman
>beating anyone
cant imagine losing to him on the first fight
Gwyn is the most memorable/emotional and my favorite for these reasons
Cinder is a joke and Miyazaki is a hack
Gherman is ok hes solid without any glaring flaws or strengths
Isshin is easily the most intense/difficult boss here and has the best fight of all 4 here
Gehrman and Gwyn are tragic lore bosses and that’s why they’re so effective. Gameplay wise, Isshin and Cinder are better. They all have their strengths
There's literally no reason you can't beat the Soulsborne games as you can keep leveling up and smashing R1 with the easy spammy weapons if you must.
If you never learn anything i guess beating Sekiro could be hard.
I like Soul of Cinder the most, it has the most meaning behind it. You can see all the different fighting styles of the different people who've linked the flame before you before finally getting back to the original with Gwyn and that familiar piano coming in.
I like it more that the actual original fight with Gwyn, I don't know why.
Least favourite was Isshin of Ashina because I just got so frustrated with how much damage his swings do. little chance to practice against him when you have the loading screen and fight with Genshiro before you get to try again.
Come to think about it, none of the four really made much that much of an impression on me. Isshin was pretty fucking annoying though.
Kino taste there fellow cinderchad
>ackshually
nobody cares, they all 3 can be the final-final boss and thus all 3 can be considered final bosses
>pic related
OOF YIKES OWZIE WAHOO
Isshin was the easiest of all these for me
I think naturally being adept at deflect-type mechanics made the game all too easy. Shit was even easier than Gwyn lmao. Still a good fight though
Gehrman
>old man mentor figure
>fighting you to save you
>unassuming and slow, then you get close and he suddenly fucks you up with tremendous speed and force
>mirror match - he fights like you but cooler
>beautiful boss arena
>beautiful boss music where the tempo will sync up with his attacks
>system of dodge / attack / recovery timings with consistent delays that makes your moves and Gehrman's moves seem to synchronize, like a dance, after every dodge and counter
i.4cdn.org
Imagine getting that mad at a fucking video-game.
Does any of you actually have reactions like that to anything you play where you literally get up and get violent and destroy shit? It seems so over the top to me, and I'm a shut in who plays games all the time.
>onions of cinder ahead of fucking gwyn
>Gwyn is the most memorable
Probably because you played Dark Souls first.
Gehrman and SoC wouldn't even get close to him thanks to the range of his spear.
Literally none of them difficult.
It's all down to its conception.
It's between Gwyn and Gehrman for me.
Gehrman was ridiculously easy because of dlc overleveling me and a cake walk where I just effortlessly slapped him around without trying.
Gwen was easy but not too much.
Isshin was actually a challenge.
Don't know the fourth guy.
I go with Isshin Sword Saint.
>what are sorceries, miracles, and pyromancies
>what is moon magic
>what is the fact that Gehrman is easily the fastest of the three and also has a blunderbus
Sekirofag cope.
Nobody cares about your meme game
>story taht's all just a dream
>boss betrays you and revealed as the antagonist (wow didn't see that coming)
>guns yet can't increase amount of ammo you can hold by a decent amount
>can't dual weild guns
>doesn't allow you to play like a tps yet includes guns
>aliens out of nowhere
>guy gets so mad he actually blacks out
Holy fuck
let me guess, didnt play sekiro
>Isshin was actually a challenge.
In what world is he challenging? Isshin is only hard if you didn't bother learning how to play the game until you reached him.
Not him, I played Sekiro. Sekiro is only difficult if you're retarded and try to play it like Dark Souls. The game gives you a dedicated parry button for fucks sake.
>Gwyn with the lowest amount of votes
Plebs, the whole damn lot of you.
Owl 2 was leagues harder.
Beat Isshin in 5 tries.
Owl 2 is Owl 1 with less moves and he can be mikiri countered. Owl 2 has to be the most overrated fight in Sekiro.
Fucking DSP managed to take him down on the third try. Jesus, you git gud fags are so annoying.
Owl just cracks under pressure and gives you free mikiris with his ultimate attack that is easily avoided.
Isshin phase 3 is just cancer with that spear.
Mechanically
Isshin > Soul of Cinder > Gehrman > Gwyn
Story-wise
Isshin = Gehrman > Soul of Cinder = Gwyn
I really adore the fact Gehrman and Isshin are like polar opposites of each other story-wise. Gehrman is an old, tired Hunter wishing for release and death. Isshin is full of life and energy, you fight him at the absolute peak.
Gehrman is more kino but Isshin is a better fight gameplay-wise. I think they're about equal. I say this as a Sekirofag that thinks BB is slightly overrated.
>In what world is he challenging?
This desu. I don't get the notion that Sekiro is so much harder than their previous games. If you learn the mechanics like you did in Souls then I honestly think it's on the average side. The most difficult boss in the game was when it was deliberately trying to fuck you over with bosses that are Souls-tier like the Demon of Hatred because the gameplay doesn't lend itself well to that, but Isshin is pretty much just another Gwyn in terms of difficulty. If you have mastered the mechanics then he's really not that bad.
Isshin is the best final boss and also the best boss of his own game, which none of the others can even come close to claiming.
But Isshin Phase 3 is just Phase 2 but he spams lightning attacks that can be reversed. He's actually easier in phase 3 because of this.
Why do so many find phase 2 and 3 harder than Isshin phase 1?
To me phase 1 is much harder, while in phase 2 and 3 he just gets progressively easier because his attacks become so goddamn easy to deflect and you get tons of opportunities to Mikiri and then in phase 3 you even get Lightning reversal.
>isshin at the top in story
Absolutely fucking not.
>Isshin
>Better than Owl 1
Isshin is the personification of Ashina's glory and eventual downfall, he is the best character in the game and his roleplay as Tengu adds a lot to his personality as well, he absolutely deserves that spot.
I realize now that every boss in Sekiro is easy after the first playthrough. People may say this about every other Souls game but in Sekiro it’s the most pronounced because it’s all about memorizing patterns and knowing when to parry. Owl 2 fucked me up the first time but on NG+ I already knew when to parry, when to mikiri counter and when to use the flamethrower to burn him.
>Isshin
>top in story
>Gwyn
>lowest in story
The brainlet's take. Isshin was underdeveloped as hell.
>all of these soulsbabies talking about SSI as if they didnt get filtered by chained ogre and had to watch a YouTube video
its isshin > gehrman >= soul of cinder > gwyn
they've only been getting better at final bosses as they continue developing games
And how, exactly, does this trump Gwyn in Dark Souls 1+3 or Gehrman in Bloodborne?
Gehrman would be better with more difficulty and a crazier moveset. He's too easy
>In what world is he challenging?
The world where it took the average person 2-4 hours to beat him. In other words that would be our world.
Thematically speaking, Gwyn is supposed to be disappointing. Still loses points.
Soul of Cinder is a cool idea, fighting the manifestation of every person to link the fire over the eons, but the fight itself is kinda easy. It's still neat to see it cycle through various builds and ending in Gwyn mode, theme included.
Never owned a PS3, but Gherman seems like Isshin lite
Isshin does it all. Culminates everything you learned over the game, tests you, is kino.
Easily the best final boss.
Watcher+Defender>Nashandra>Aldia boss rush is plain fun.
>Isshin was underdeveloped as hell.
Thanks to sake, his persona input over the story and Tengu segments he is easily most well-developed out of 4.
So people who are retarded and didn't actually bother to learn how to play until the last boss fight?
DoH should have been the final boss
All this means is that he blatantly talks about his past more than the others, not that the quality of his character and his lore is better than anyone else's.
>And how, exactly, does this trump Gwyn
By actually being a character and not a piece of lingering background lore.
>Gehrman in Bloodborne
By being a way more fleshed-out character.
Always felt this way. He needed some more moves and spectacle
>Allant
>Gwyn
>Vendrick
>Aldia
>Gael
>Gehrman
>Isshin
>Owl
>Orangutan
Souls games have a lot of important based old men you have to fight/kill/put out of their misery in the late game. What's up with that?
spbp
Gwyn's Lore absolutely BTFO's Isshin even if he isn't a static character that you can talk to just so he can spill out every aspect of his character after drinking some rice wine. Gehrman's character + lore is better unless you didn't even bother talking to Gehrman or listening to him dream in the Hunter's dream. You probably think Isshin is the best because it's the easiest character to learn about.
No because the final boss is not Isshin as you know him and the Black Fushigiri plot point is extremely under developed. You get a throwaway line and a scroll that tells you "The Black Blade can open a gate to the underworld" so when you finally get to the point where Genichiro uses it "Open Gate" really just means resurrecting a person in their prime. They could've done so much more with Genichiro's Tomoe and him devolving further and further into something more removed from his original goal as he continuously resorts to more depraved means of saving Ashina eventually the final battle being a mirror of Isshin Vs the Sculptor so long ago, but only this time the Shinobi represents Isshin and Genichiro represents the shinobi (Sculptor/Monkey) as he turns into Shura because of his use of opening an underworld gate letting out folklore monsters and demons to achieve victory, losing himself in the process.
Instead we get "lmao i'm too weak so Isshin can defeat you instead, bye"
For Sekiro's bigger focus on story I think it's one of the worst story's in a From game from recent times. It's not quite Dark Souls 2 tier, but only Dark Souls 2 is below it. It's made all the worse when you realize the "True" ending is an enormous cliffhanger
see
To bad it trash
>dude I found it easy so that means everyone who had trouble with it is retarded lmao
Dude, just fuck off. You're a god of a gamer, congrats.
>Isshin you literally cannot cheese
DSP beat him in three tries by spamming the axe, so nope.
Isshin is still my favorite though with Gehrman as a close second. Gwyn is probably the best in terms of its purpose in the overall story with a great theme to boot. Soul of Cinder is alright but just like the game seems like it tried too hard to pander.
Good luck, that last mission is rough on Iron-man.
this kills the sekirofag
Isshin is only hard if you're a fucking retard, and i'm not even that good at video games. I'm fucking serious, if you think Isshin is actually challenging you didn't even bother learning how to play Sekiro. At least the other games have limited stamina, so the player character can't just infinitely dodge and block their way to victory. Sekiro has no stamina and a dedicated parry button that you can basically just spam to never take damage. Wolf can block almost every single attack that Isshin throws at him, and the perilous swipes that can't be blocked can be avoided by jumping. Not only that but he also spams stabs, which can get countered.
>Isshin you literally cannot cheese
You can spam firecrackers at him, so yes you can.
k
faggot
i wonder if any anons ITT can say that gehrman is harder than isshin with a straight face
Cope.
k
Isshin
>easy to trick him into just looping back and forth between strikes to easily build up his posture
>blinded by fire crackers in each stage
>uses stab attacks which can get countered
>player has infinite stamina, can just parry everything and a failed parry just turns into a regular stab
>game allows for far easier disengagement of the boss via jumping and sprinting away from attacks
Gehrman
>can get staggered with gunshots for a visceral
>iframes out of attack combos
>iframes into gun shots for easy player viscerals
>player has finite stamina
Gehrman isn't tough, but he's definitely harder than Isshin. Objectively so.
youre a brainlet
>he didnt parry gehrman once
I defeated Isshin in 8 tries, 7 at night and then on my first try the next day when I woke up.
Gehrman was a lot harder for me and took about 14-16 tries.
Your statement only outs yourself as one who is not very good at the mechanics, and that's fine, but the game was not even half as hard as people made it out to be in my experience.
The reason why it's easy is because Sekiro's deflect mechanic is actually very lenient compared to other similar mechanics, it's not some frame-perfect input. My experience beforehand with this kind of mechanic was parry in fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter, and Royal Guard in Devil May Cry 3. A perfect Royal block in DMC3 is far tighter, far harder and far more intense to pull off than a deflect in Sekiro. It's essentially the exact same thing, you press a button in a timed manner and if you get it right you are rewarded with a "perfect deflect/block". In Sekiro the timing for perfect deflect is large. Now imagine going into Sekiro when you've already Royal Guarded the entirety of DMC3 which has extremely narrow timing.
Then Sekiro is easy, and therefore Isshin is easy, because his tells are fairly obvious, his spear is just more obvious tells and the deflect timing is relaxed.
So please, fucking high and mighty sekirofag who thinks this is the end all be all for difficulty, fuck off and play some more games with this kind of mechanic.
>reading comprehension
>can get staggered with gunshots for a visceral
Trumps anything you wrote for Isshin. You practically skip Gehrmans fight if you parry him efficiently, which isn't hard to do.
Seethe more, faggot.
>Gehrman was a lot harder for me and took about 14-16 tries.
If he took you more than a single try im not gonna continue to read
>barely parry anyone throughout the game
>get to gehrman
>parry him a few times
>win my first try
wooooooooooooooooooooooooow that was hard
Parrying is harder in other souls games though because in Sekiro it's instant the moment you press the button, but in previous games you have to take into account the long start-up animation of you raising your shield, or in Bloodborne's case, bullet travel and firing animation.
Is Sekiro the easiest game to parry in the series? I've rarely tried in DS/BB because it just felt a lot riskier than just blocking or dodging.
>being able to blind isshin for an entire phase totally isn't easy mode!
Based retard stay ignorant
Isshin is the best for his personality and actual character but Soul of Cinder tops it for me. I absolutely love bosses who use the same abilities available to the player, albeit souped-up.
Yes.
The deflection frames in sekiro are a lot more generous than a parry in DaS or BB.
No question about it. Not only does Sekiro have very relaxed timings, but it's also easier because the moment you deflect is the moment you press the button that just makes it all the more easier since you don't have to account for start-up animations.
>can use firecrackers to skip 1/3rd of Isshins fight
>can use parries to skip the entirety of Gehrmans fight
See the difference?
>he still hasnt parried gehrman once
>taking 14-16 tries on fucking Gehrman
Embarrassing.
>ignored parry loops for isshin
>ignores mikiri counter spam
>ignores the fact that gehrman iframes out of attack combos unlike isshin and will iframe through gunshots to avoid them
>but the parries!!!!!!
Cope.
B&RP
Bteamniggers GTFO or you finna get DABBED on
Threadly reminder that DSP beat Ishiin in 2 tries whereas Ludwig literally made him rage quit for 1 year (and that's with him powerfarming in Bloodborne)
DSP single handedly proved that Sekiro is the easiest Soulsborne game
Absolutely and given that you're expected to parry so often it makes sense. In DS one parry is often enough to kill a basic enemy and it only takes like three to kill a boss like Gwyn which is why in those games the timing is a lot harder.
And Isshin is by far the best from soft boss so far, including in non difficulty aspects
Ishiin is a miedocre boss fight. Ludwig is still the best one in both gameplay and kino
Gerhman is the final boss most people are gonna get. You need to go out of your way to fight Moon Presence, and why the fuck would you let him kill you after Mergo
Yeah, none of what you posted makes Isshin easier than being able to parry-spam Gehrman. I'm sorry your game is so easy my dude. Maybe they'll up the difficulty in BB2.
>Cope.
Embarrassing.
DSP got lucky and you and me both know that, stop pretending like that makes Isshin not insanely hard. He just spammed the axe and happened to land them by luck.
Absolutely. Isshin has far more character development than any other boss From has made
I liked Aldia
>Ishiin far more character
>has 5~ lines of dialogue in the whole game
Those suck ass
Gael was the best
youtu.be
OH NONONONO
He's the most boring final boss in the whole franchise, and his attacks leave his ass hanging out when you circle strafe
His only notable quality is that he's a damage sponge
>no replies
Oof.
Cope with it
Gael is the best, and if he's not, then all of DaS bosses have been confirmed to derivative shit
Nyx of course
>isshin
>top
>in story
Nah you must be playing a different game
>then all of DaS bosses have been confirmed to derivative shit
Really makes you think...
>Insult Dark Souls 3
>Get a meme buzzword in response
Hello, zoomer
Not even close to the truth bby
Realize now, that all of DaS bosses are just hype, and there's nothing "good" or "bad" around a big old dude in an armor that waits to be smacked by a rolling dwarf 1,000,000 times. That's just DaS franchise as a whole.
Gehrman coming in close 2nd when this board is litered with PClards tells you everything you need to know.
Also, Ishiin literally copies Gehrmans battle arena
>dude reductionism lmao
Yep, you're a zoomer
>Ad Hominem
Cope
Your list is bad too.
They're similar but unique.
based
>Gehrman was a lot harder for me and took about 14-16 tries.
Gehrman was a first try kill. How the fuck did it take you so long?
I'm not the OP
Gael is a shitty final boss
ludwig is reddit tier
Vergil 3
Where’s King Allant and Aldia?
Genichiro is the most fun and rewarding of all the final bosses, although he isn't even the best fight in his own game. Nothing tops Guardian Ape. None of the best fights are the final boss in any From game besides Demon Souls.
its another npc who only cares about difficulty in souls games
